Brinley's Prov
Drew thought it would be best if I was to stay in my room for the next couple of days after Colton escaped. Even though I was under compulsion I felt as if drew still blamed me for his escape and sadly I wouldn't argue with him on that. I should have listened instead of being hardheaded. That was always my biggest problem my mom would say. Bridget would come bring me my food and spend time with me, but I hadn't seen her in two days just them maids bringing me food and drinks. I was going stir crazy in this room. I hated being confined to one space. But since no one was coming to spend time with me, and I wasn't leaving the room I might as well play dress up. I turned on let you go by MGk and started living out my rockstar fantasies.
Skyler's Prov
"What are we going to do about your brother Drew, he's a danger to us all." Jade said to Drew holding her face. Drew didn't say anything as he paced. This must mean he is really lost on what to do. No matter that Colton was a forsaken he was still his big brother. it must be hard to plan hard action on the person you shared the womb with. I looked around and noticed one thing was missing. Brinley. She must have been shaken up from the experience and scared to death. So where was she? "Where's Brinley?" I said with a little bit more emotion than I wanted to. Drew stopped pacing and gave me a look of death. "Why does it matter where she is, she is just a damn pet!"
I didn't know what came over me but as soon as those words came out his mouth I became in raged. In a second, I had punched into his chest and held his heart. "Don't ever say that about her again or I will rip your heart out and fed it to you." Jade came between us trying to get me to let go of his heart while drew coughed hysterically. "Brother let him go this isn't like you." Jade yelled looking mortified. I released his heart and watched him drop to the ground holding his chest. "I get it now; you want her for yourself." Drew said through his deep breathing. I didn't even respond to him I needed to see Brinley. She was the only thing on my mind.
Drew's Prov
Skyler slammed the door and didn't say a single word. I went to stand up and fell back to my knees. Grabbing the heart was what us vampires did when we were ready to kill. How did I not see it? Skyler had caught feelings for Brinley the same has I. "I'm going to kill him." I said looking at the door. Jade shook her head and laughed. "This is history repeating itself, first it was Hadley and now it's with Brinley but this time both of yall's feelings are stronger." she said handing me a damp towel. I couldn't lie to jade due to her ability. Knowing jade, she had already read my mind and knew how I felt. Brinley was mine. I bought her. She was mine and I didn't care if Skyler was my best friend or not, he wasn't going to have her. "Guess our best friend rivalry is back on." I mumbled under my breath causing jade to let out a groin. "Well don't expect me to pick one of yall's sides I'm Switzerland."
Skyler's Prov
I got to Brinley's room to hear machine gun Kelly blaring from her room. I think the song was Nothing inside featuring Ian Dior. nice song by them but wasn't my favorite. As I opened the door I stood there and watched her come dancing out of the closet. She was stunning in an oversize flannel shirt and knee-high socks. She couldn't sing one bit but that only made her that more beautiful. The song ended and she turned around and jumped. "Oh, my lord how long were you there." she said, throwing her hair up in a messy ponytail. I could only smile at her actions it was innocent just like her. " Long enough to see you whipping your hair back and forth like Willow Smith." I said giving her a demonstration. She fell out laughing at my attempt of mocking her. God how her laugh was intoxicating. " Would you like to come sit with me, its hard being alone with no social interaction for me." She said giving me a small delicate smile. I know I should've said no but my mouth had override my brain. " Of course ill join you." I said as I came in and shut the door behind me.
Brinley and I sat and watched her favorite show on Netflix. The Vampire Diaries. Shockingly the show wasn't a waste of time. The brothers kind of reminded me of Drew and I but better looking. " Thank you for hanging out with me." Brinley said laying her head on my shoulder making my heart pound. I had never felt this feeling before. It was nice. " Your welcome Brinley." I said laying my head on hers. We sat in silence until I felt her eyes on me. " What's wrong?" I said while I watched the scene where Katherine cut off uncle johns fingers off. " Nothing I just never realized how handsome you were until now." With those words I stopped watching the show. It wasn't smart to start catching for her. Especially due to the law but at that moment I was ready to risk it all just to be with her. I looked at her lush pink lips that fit her face perfectly and her dark chocolate eyes . " Brinley this isn't going to end well for us." I said looking into her eyes. She looked confused by my words. Which was completely understandable. " What do you mean?" she said moving back from me. I went to tell her everything but was interrupted when the bedroom door opened and it was Drew and Jade. such great timing with those assholes.
Drew threw me off the bed and punched me dead in the face. He was angry and I knew why. It was because of her. Because he felt the same way I did. " How dare you get that close to her" he yelled punching me again. "Shes my pet!" he said punching me one more time. I blocked his next punch and gave him one of my own. I wasn't going to be his punching bag. "Stay the fuck off her!" drew said going to hit me but did the worst thing that made all of us stop. He hit Brinley. She jumped in front of me trying to stop us from fighting and got hurt in the process. Brinley laid on the floor knocked out cold with a bruise forming on and around her eye. "What the hell is wrong with y'all!" Jade yelled running to Brinley. Jade picked Brinley up and started carrying her to the door. "Where are you taking her." Drew said with venom in his voice. Jade sent him a death glare and continued out the door. "I'm taking her to the infirmary since you've knocked the hell out of her." jade said as she whooshed out the door leaving Drew and I alone. "You will stay away from her Skyler." drew said turning to face me once again. I wasn't his bitch, and I wasn't going to just do what he said. "You have feelings for her that's the only reason your become like this." I said coldly to him. As I started walking passed him he shot back at me. " And so do you Skyler, but remember the law she's a pet and falling in love is punishable by death." I knew the law but I couldn't careless about it. There was chemistry between us and id be stupid to not see how much there was. Even if I died doing so.
