Chapter 23 - Chapter 22: The Blissful Notion Of Married Life

The Penthouse Suite, The Silverwire Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada....

Raelynn Luna Lovell awoke to find she'd been in bed alone and the passing of another day was well behind her as she slumbered following the events of her wedding night. There was no sign of her new husband, Duke Lovell aside from his left behind leather jacket thrown into a nearby chair and his silver dog tags on the nightstand beside her. She wondered where he'd gone and how long she'd been asleep for a few moments before she attempted to get out of bed. It wasn't long after her attempt that she felt her body had other plans.

Rae sighed feeling the heaviness of her weary body despite the rest she had as a result of her sleeping up until her recent awakening. The heaviness had not been the only problem as she felt the left over ache from the loss of her virtue between her thighs due to her husband's ferocity when he'd been in the throes of passion.

A small smile filed across her lovely pale face as she lied back looking up at the ceiling of her penthouse suite on the second tallest floor of a large casino. She thought back to all the times Brody Davis and his various whores bragged about their adolescent fumblings in the backseats of cars and crowded supply closets.

They would have literally turned green if they could see her husband, and the life she had with him. He was worth thousands of any boy back in Trenton County and then some. It didn't bother her so much that she'd been nineteen years younger as he wasn't as mature as his given age implied, sometimes she suspected that he'd been closer to her age than he cared to admit when it came to his mentality.

She could still feel the intensity of his kiss upon her soft pink lips as she inhaled the faint scent of musk left behind from Duke when he was resting on one of the pillows. She enjoyed the way he smelled almost as much as he enjoyed the way she had. She smiled to herself a bit when she thought of him. He'd changed her life in so many ways least of all his making her a woman a few hours prior to her awakening. She looked at the silver band he'd given her and smiled once more realizing that everything that happened up to this point had not been a dream, but her real life experiences and it felt all the more pleasant to make note of it.

Rae didn't know what she would do if she didn't have Duke in her life and made up her mind to set a few goals for herself to accomplish in the future, even ones that she believed to have been out of her reach while growing up in that awful household. She was most likely the first in her class to ever get married and possibly the only one to have had it happen before she lost her virginity to anyone of the boys at school.

As Rae continued to lounge in bed, She made a mental checklist and added" learn to dive" as one of her top things to do once she had the chance. She liked riding with her husband, her husband...it had a nice ring to it, but she was quite sick of his bike making her legs numb after being on it for so long. Of course that wasn't the only thing that he had that made her legs numb. Rae recalled the previous night and found herself unable to think of a time when she'd felt as passionate about anyone or anything in her life. Aside from her scribblings inside her various notebooks, there wasn't anything of any particular interest to her, possibly due to her lackluster upbringing.

Everything that happened between her leaving home after a final encounter with Ed Earl and her marriage to Duke had gone by in a blink and she hardly even had time to process it all. Once more she found herself looking at her ring unsure of what to make of it as she'd officially been married and even still felt the residual effects of having given up her virtue to the man she loved, or at least she believed she loved him. It was difficult to get a read on her own emotions as she'd been given to going through so many.

She could still feel the lingering intensity of his kiss, she closed her eyes taking in the scent of musk that seemed to follow him. Rae never thought in a million years that she'd be married, and in a casino penthouse in Las Vegas. Coming to her senses ast last, Rae wondered where Duke had gotten off to as she attempted to sit up once more. The heaviness of her body seemed to persist as well as the dull ache that came from losing her virtue only a few hours before.

Duke was incredibly large when aroused and it caused a bit of discomfort when he actually penetrated her, but she was adjusting to the reality of it all just fine it seemed, the intensity he showed before they even got this far was a clear indication that he'd be something else once he truly got going.

Gingerly, Rae managed to get herself out of bed feeling the call of nature had gotten much to overpowering to be further ignored. She was still quite sore but managed to make it to her feet and began her journey toward the nearby restroom. She took note of how cold the marble below her feet had been as she walked barefoot and completely naked across the room to reach her goal. The large windows did little to make her uncomfortable as she was more focused on getting to the toilet as her bladder continued to contract.

Once more Rae's mind traveled back to her lover before her stomach reminded her she had not eaten in quite some time and that it was long overdue. She finished her business in the restroom after flushing and washing her hands and turned her attention to getting something to eat. There were a few choice white robes in the bathroom and she quickly put one on before venturing back into the main room where she dialed room service and placed her order for the evening. She'd been especially famished with it being nearly another day gone by before she'd actually eaten anything.

One of the assistants picked up and transferred her to the kitchens where chefs worked tirelessly to prepare whatever meal she envisioned as she sought to amuse herself and appease her rumbling stomach. She wondered briefly if Duke had eaten anything, knowing him he'd been just as hungry as she was and she decided to order his infamous medium rare steak and trimmings. She somehow knew he wasn't that far from her despite not having spoken to him since the previous night.

No sooner had she hung up the phone with the chefs, Duke strolled into their room looking a little worse for wear but otherwise his usual self aside from him carrying a yellow duffle bag and tossing it onto the nearby floor of the casino before stripping out of his attire, a usual thing for him when in her presence, and making his way toward her without a word.

He smelled of oil, dust, and sweat as he scooped her into his waiting arms pressing his lips to hers in a firm and commanding kiss. She returned it stroking his face with both hands before wrapping her arms around his neck. Her robe came open as a result of his holding her about the waist and pulling her closer. She bit her bottom lip as she felt the invasive hardness of his exposed cock pressing against her belly as it rapidly became aroused upon contact with her own smooth flesh.

Duke groaned loving the feel of her smaller petite frame against his own larger naked muscular form. He could smell the lingering scent of their previous encounter as she'd not had the chance to shower just yet and licked at the soft flesh of her neck before niching her skin via his teeth like so many times prior, leaving an intentional mark and causing her to gasp as he carried her toward the bed.

Rae had barely a moment to gasp before Duko was towering above her his body pressed against her own as they found themselves once more on the mattress. She was still quite sore from the previous encounter and had not exactly been enthusiastic about another go round and he seemed to sense it simply opting to rest his head on her chest rather than attempt to penetrate her again despite his obvious desire to do so.

Rae ran her fingers through his messy unkempt black hair and enjoyed the closeness for a little while until she heard the knock on the door that possibly indicated that their food had arrived. Duke reluctantly rolled off her as she climbed off the bed and took a moment to fix her robe before making her way toward the door to answer it.

The attendant was very polite as he wheeled in a silver cart full of everything she asked for and even brought a bottle of wine for the two newly weds. Duko got out of bed and made his way over toward the cart when he caught a whiff of the steak she had ordered for him. He hadn't eaten much since the last time they dined and already felt his mouth watering as he approached it.

He seemed surprised that she recalled how he liked it and that she'd been thoughtful enough to consider that he'd been hungry after all this time. Rae smiled when he took up his plate and made his way back to the bed where he sat on the edge and immediately started eating. She grabbed her food and closed the door behind the attendant as he left them to their meal to attend to other matters.

Neither she nor Duko spoke as they ate, he finished off his meal and watched her do the same before taking their respective plates and putting them on a nearby table. He once more climbed onto the bed and pulled his young wife lose to him as they shared a series of kisses which continued to grow all the more intense due to their bond as the moments passed. Rae seemed to be quite happy with him and he with her in these moments.

"Where'd you go?" she asked while stroking his smooth face.

"Had some work to do." he replied kissing her cheek. "Still have some more to do but it can wait."

They kissed once more as their eyes locked and a seemingly other worldly peace passed between them.

"How are you feeling?" Duko asked as he continued to kiss his young bride.

"Tired mostly." replied Rae with a smile. "Blissfully so I think."

It seemed to please Duko to hear it as he continued to kiss his wife as she closed her eyes and took in his intoxicating scent. The both of them seemed content just resting together like this as the rest of the world seemed to pass by them and time appeared to stand still. Rae found herself lulled into a peaceful sleep once more via the rhythmic beating of her husband's heart as he too began snoring as he rested his head against her chest.
