I'm five though. I normally wouldn't be able to get out of my house, do much, heck in this society I have to wait 18 years before I'm legally an adult.
Too long! Far too long!.
In human time that's basically a quarter of my life gone all of a sudden like that! Are you serious! I didn't have the time! But what was I supposed to do
I looked at my little tiny baby carrot looking fingers, small! tiny! I can barely walk! I looked at all of the books I'm reading, all this knowledge but I can't put it to use.
Just like in Inkosyth, I could learn about warfare, but knowing something and putting it into application is something totally different.
So I sat there, reading everyday for the last 5 years, then I couldn't take it anymore!
Perhaps if I was a normal 5 year old that had to waddle and wiggle around this wouldn't be so bad but I'm fully conscious! It's like if you put a pro gamer into a new account and force them to go through the tutorial and long-winded story before they can actually do the fun stuff.
I had to try it out.
I put down the book on Newtonian Physics in front of me.
I wonder if I can bring something into this world.
If I create a vessel, and then tear open the dimensional walls momentarily, could I attract a soul to occupy the vessel?
I actually started doing this already.
"Nys'theri Cl'ysthia!" I cried out. There was no reason to speak in Tarhquis, Inkosyth's language. I just had to do it for fun!
Practically, it's a bit more difficult to sustainably keep a soul in this dimension. It was like if you held sand and tried to put it into water, the sand began to disappear into the water.
But what if there was a way to bypass that? Instead of letting the sand touch water, what if you could protect the sand by a little pocket of air? That was the essence of this summoning ritual!
That's exactly what I did, I pulled out a secret book behind the bookshelf, inside it were my summoning preparations.
I made sure I was the only one at my home with the exception of my mother.
I went into the corner and peeked at it, "Hehehe" I giggled,
I placed a dead little bird that I caught onto the pages with mystical circle patterns in them .
"Gry'thul Sieze Nam'sthul Inshoor"I had to sound cool while I did it!
"Oh heaven hear my prayers" was the direct translation.
Orange light glowed from the book, a dark mystic force poured out of the book, before getting sucked back into the bird , like a sponge soaking in the water.
"Crieckksss Sieckk" tiny crackling sounds was heard like someone was beating the little bird's body with a metal spoon, fracturing its bones with every tap.
Its eyes went from dark obsidian black into a hue of purple that showed like a glowing amethyst gem.
I smiled.
'Yes!!Yess!!!YES'
'Is it working!?'
'Am I Actually bringing the natural laws of Inkosyth into this world?!'
'I should! Theoretically!'
'It should be possible!Where Ica just disobey this world's laws!'
'AHAHAHAHA'
Crack. The acute sound of a broken bone echoed through the room.
I looked towards the bird, and its entire body was folded in two, like a blunt butcher's knife sliced right into its throat. Fwoosh
The energy disappeared just as quickly as it came. Blood began to soak out. 'A failure. Failure 231 to be precise.'
I threw away the bird out of my window, along with the blood stained book. I placed it inside a plastic bag that I hid underneath a tree with all the other failed experiments.
I'm getting closer! I can feel it, just on my fingertips, the ability to borrow power from Inkosyth. I needed it, to have some bargaining power. There is no economy without resources flowing through it.
