Chapter 62 - Chapter 61: The Finest Contentment

Alain's Bedroom, The Salt Mill Tavern, Fifth And Main, Boylesten, England (1763)...

A newly awakened Alain Remington began to rouse from his most recent slumber. There had been something of a contented smile filed across his handsome face as he lay on his back with his right arm folded behind his head and his sizeable cock tenting the bedsheet that had been draped over his waist. Corelia lay beside him, her beautiful supple breasts exposed just shy of the border of the crisp white sheet as she gave off a few light snores in the wake of her well-earned and much-needed rest. A slight smile creased his pale lips as he recalled just how she had earned that rest and the subsequent efforts he'd put into making it so. The cool morning air had been welcome against the naked noble's heated skin as he turned his attention to the unyielding urge that had been a product of his bladder. He pulled back the crisp white sheet that covered both him and the slumbering Cordelia taking note once more of her beautiful pale freckle-covered form before venturing to the privy pot and aiming his cock straightaway.

His towering height made all the difference as he yawned and took care not to splatter his urine stream along the floor or nearby wall. He'd gotten a measure of revenge against Noreen and Casimir and felt quite good about it, upstaging them at their wedding had been a start but for the moment he'd been content with how things turned out.

Cordelia had been the talk of the town, an amazing feat for a mere peasant girl if Alain did say so himself. He finished up at the privy and wiped off his hands before turning his attention to the nearby nude portrait of the still slumbering lass, that occupied his tavern bed. He noted the brush strokes and the lighting for a few moments before turning his attention to adding a few finishing touches here and there.

The lovely redhead continued to lightly snore making Alain's smile all the more prominent as he glanced in her direction. For the first time in a long time, he seemed to have been truly happy, since the events that came about in the form of Noreen McCray turning out to have been using him for the sake of her noble status.

He had no danger of that with Cordelia given her peasant status and nieve, she'd already been a step up from Noreen even with the lack of breeding and education. Still, Alain knew that she'd take to education like a duck to water and as a result, he vowed to continue it, not just to upstage Noreen but because she'd been an exemplary student.

The handsome noble once more reflected on how easily she turned heads when she entered the manor and the whispers abound about whom she could have possibly been spoke volumes about her poise and grace in general. He had bet that he could make a noblewoman of her yet and the thought had crossed his mind, despite the conclusion being so strange, that she might have also made for a good wife once her education and training had been complete.

Alain turned his attention back to his painting and still couldn't keep the smile off his handsome face in the wake of all that had happened. He'd had a glad heart and boyish charm once more as he finished up and headed back toward the bed where Coredila lay slumbering. Soft and slow kisses had been trailed along her pale freckled skin and she moaned in reaction to the closeness of her lover briefly opening her eyes just to make sure that it had been him and not the aspects of her dream.

Alain noted her smile as she reached up and ran her delicate hand across his cheek. He took her hand in his and kissed it unsure how to describe his newfound fondness for her. She seemed to be pleased her green eyes fixated on the handsome noble who had become much more to her than a passing acquaintance.

The handsome noble leaned into her waiting kiss and reciprocated in kind as he pulled her closer losing himself in the sheer bliss of her company and unwavering affections. He had recognized that he too felt something for the lovely redhead who had been as much a staple in his bed as the bedsheets while staying inside the tavern. She'd seen the worst of him on many a night while he mourned the loss of his former relationship with his now newly married sister-in-law, the series of kisses passing between Cordelia and Alain had been as second nature as breathing.

The rather confused noble lad found himself noting that he'd come to anticipate her visits more often than not and indulged her far more than he used to whenever she came to his room at the tavern. Cordelia seemed at ease with being in his arms and shifted some in bed to accommodate him knowing all too well what he'd had in mind the moment she felt his wayward cock's thickness against her thigh.

There had been no words between them, the moment their eyes locked there had been no need for them. She had begun to know her handsome noble as much as he'd been privy to the kinds of wants of needs she had without letting on. It had been a slow and subtle fall that propelled them both forward, the slippery slope to falling in love if ever there was one and both had been plummeting head over heels whether they had finally taken notice of it or otherwise.

The outside world had been vastly more distant than either of them had realized as both Alain Remington and Coredilia Barlowe seemed to find themselves lost in the confines of a world all their own, their young hearts blazing with only the kind of heat the kindling of true affections could provide despite their mutual efforts not to given name to the swirling mix of emotions that continued to bind them together.
