Chapter 2 - Chapter 1.1: The Prophecy

One hundred years ago, it was said that after one hundred years a baby girl will be born and shall earn the title of Crown Princess of Athens. Cassandra, who was cursed by God Apollo, announced the prophecy of the crown princess.

"After one hundred years, in 2002, a baby girl will be born. This child will be the Crown Princess of Athens, inheriting the power of Zeus, God of Thunder, and will be given a gift of water like Poseidon, the God of Water. Her birth will also be the sign of a war between Zeus and Hades.

Poseidon, as the creator of storms and floods, brings off earthquakes and destruction, you will be fateful towards Zeus and think of a way to protect your great-granddaughter.

This child will be a great leader to the country yet, her powers will be useful as she has both Zeus and Poseidon's gifts.

This prophecy is an awareness for Zeus. Protect your great-granddaughter. Your death will be the possible result if Hades got the crown princess."

This prophecy was spread like wildfire in Olympus. Every generation of the Zeus Family learned about this. Until one day, Zeus came to the land and transformed into a human.

Roaming around to the land of Athens, he saw a lady running away from a group of guards. Zeus just avoided it but was stopped when the lady held his wrist and dragged him near the corner of the street.

Feeling shocked and violated that a mortal held his wrist without his permission, he glared at her and spoke.

"How dare you hold my wrist without my permission?! Let go of me, you mortal!"

Instead of feeling annoyed, the lady just cupped Zeus's face and spoke.

"I am Crown Princess Rhian Fauntus and yes I am a mortal. But who cares, we are both mortals. Anyway, I need to kiss you."

Zeus is so shocked by this woman's boldness. Everyone knew that if a god like him kissed someone, there was a probability that she can get pregnant.

"No... No... You cannot! It is too---"

Before he can finish his complaint, Rhian already kisses him. The guards of the kingdom of Athens looked at them and thought that Rhian was not there. When they are gone, the lady lets go of Zeus who is so shocked by what just happened.

Rhian quickly apologizes to him and tells him her reason.

"I apologize for that. But it was an emergency, and I don't want to get married to someone I don't like."

Being struck by her charm, Zeus became interested in this lady. Rhian also finds Zeus charming.

The god of thunder just laughed and held the back of his neck before introducing himself.

"You are different. Anyways, I am Zeus, God of thunder. I came from Olympus and am currently roaming around the land of Athens. I came here using my ring version of my scepter."

Rhian tried to recall the title of God of thunder and suddenly realized that her father, the emperor, told her about the Greek god Zeus.

She violated a Greek god. The crown princess quickly bows and gives him an apology, making Zeus think that she is cute.

"I am so sorry. I did not think that you were the Greek god Zeus. Please don't punish me." Rhian pleaded.

He quickly makes the lady stop bowing by patting her head and telling her that it is all right.

They looked at each other through their eyes and suddenly felt different. Zeus and Rhian feel comfortable with each other.

From that day on, Zeus always goes to the land of Athens and visits Rhian. After a few weeks, they start dating, and finally, Rhian gets pregnant and gives birth to a baby girl which Zeus names Thea.

Because of their safety, Zeus and Rhian have decided to separate. Rhian knows that Zeus is doing this to protect them. She also knew about the prophecy.

Years passed by, and Thea and her husband, Peter, gave birth to a baby boy. They named him Heron.

When Heron was 18 years old, Thea and Peter told him about the prophecy that he was going to have a daughter with his future wife. He found out that his future daughter is Zeus's great-granddaughter. Heron may inherit their family's brown eyes, Thea told him that his daughter will inherit Zeus's power, which is thunder, and inherits the power of Poseidon, which is water.

Heron cannot help but ask her mother.

"Why does my future daughter have my Grandfather Zeus's and Poseidon's power when I don't have any of it."

Thea also asked her mom when she was a teenager after she found out about the prophecy. She answered the same answer that her mom, Rhian, told her.

"That is because your future daughter has a prophecy that her birth will be a sign of war between Hades and Zeus. Your future daughter's power is going to be useful and if Hades has her, death will be Zeus' punishment as a war between him and his brother Hades is going to happen."

Being worried about it, Heron starts to get worried. Yet, he knows that his grandfather, Zeus, is going to protect them.

A few years have passed, and Heron got married to Alexis. He was crowned as an emperor. Heron told his wife about the prophecy after he heard that his wife is pregnant a few months after their wedding.

Zeus gathered a meeting with other gods and goddesses.

Zeus announced to them the upcoming birth of his great-granddaughter.

"In just 3 months, my great-granddaughter will be born. I am thinking if I can give my name to Heron and his wife and daughter as their surnames."

Realizing that this is a wrong decision, everyone opposed it.

Poseidon said, "You cannot give them your name as their surname. Hades is going to think that Heron and his family are related to you."

Hera agreed with what Poseidon said.

"They can just use one of our names to be their surname except for your name, Zeus." Hera suggested.

Hearing this kind of idea, Dionysus, the god of wine, raised his hand.

"They can use my name. She will be my granddaughter anyway. I want to protect her too."

Hearing Dionysus's explanation he looked at everyone and they nod to him. He sighed and went to his son. Zeus pats his back and thanks him.

How lucky he is to have a son like Dionysus.
