A harsh cough tickles my throat, I let it come out of me, wracking my chest. The smoke had gotten to me, even entered my eyes. I blink it away and try to look around me for my comrades. I try to fight through the haze and try to remember if I told them to run or I was the only one that ran. I pull off the full face mask, hoping I would breathe better, but it seemed the smoke was living in my nostrils.
"M!" I hear Erin call out. My neck snap in the direction where I think his scared voice called out from.
"Erin?" I ask.
Something smacks into me, and i stumble backwards a bit, losing my balance.
"You are okay." Erin whispers, relief leaking from every pore on his body.
I hug him back,
"You are okay too. That's a relief." My voice chokes on the tears.
I pull away first, looking around us and finding no one.
"Where are They? Abby and Austin." I dared to ask.
