I stir in my sleep. The light had gotten too bright and the noise outside was getting much louder, as opposed to the previous peace and quiet I was used to hearing. The bed was lumpy and felt too hard against my body, the sheets too rough.
Waking up with a start, my brows furrowed in confusion. I don't remember falling asleep, I won't volunteer to sleep on this bed no matter how tired I felt. I bolt right out of it.
"What the hell?" I whisper as I walk towards the commotion outside the bedroom.
Erin, Abby, Austin, Garrett and Sofia were gathered around the breakfast table, laughing at whatever was being said, all of them looked significantly better than the last time I saw them. They were in fresh, clean clothes, and had obviously gotten out of bed earlier than I did.
"Okay, we get it, you are the happiest bunch ever, can the rest of us go back to bed now?" I sigh.
All five pairs of eyes turn to look at me together.
