"Take it as payment for bringing me out of the orphanage. I don't have a better life at your house, but all of my sufferings have shaped me into who I am today. You could say that all of those difficulties were worthwhile." Angelina explained. She felt relieved today after repaying a favor that had been owed to her for a long time.
"You wouldn't have suffered all that pain if I hadn't brought you home. So you don't owe me anything to begin with." Anthony never imagined Angelina would be grateful to him for bringing her to his house, which was equivalent to hell for her.
"I understand there is no need for that. But I can't deny that my life would be different if I had been left in that orphanage."
She believed that if she had not been adopted by Greens, her future would have been different. Maybe she wouldn't have suffered as much, or maybe her life would have been more difficult. But she was certain of one thing: she would not let anyone write her own destiny.
