Chereads / In A Game As A Blood Mage / Chapter 40 - Chapter 40

Chapter 40 - Chapter 40

...….

Alex walks out of the mansion, not knowing what went on inside the room. He just goes back to his room on the other side of the city and meets up with Lily.

What he truly needs now is to get a new Class. The Blood Mage has been fully leveled up, now he can choose through many other classes, even ones like Grass Mage, but he isn't going to choose any of the current ones available to him. He must do an action and find the knowledge to unlock his next Rare Class, the class that will push him to Legendary Rank.

"Did you get it?" Asks Lily as she looks at Alex after finishing a dose of cultivation. Unlike Alex who can use Exp and most of the time he fakes Cultivation, she has to do it for real so she can gather her Ki and strengthen it.

"Yep." Answers Alex referring to his rewards. He truly will be able to use the resources to their best with his future knowledge. But first, he must get a new class. He wants to get a good one too so he can do what real heroes can, and fight above their level. Though fighting a Legendary Rank as a 4th Rank isn't something he ever plans to do.

As one raises amongst the levels, the difference in strength between them increases. Especially now, as while one level up, their mana becomes stronger and their whole being enhances. Of course, most people in this world don't have the interface so they can't see their stats and they can't allocate their stat points as they want.

Still, with these thoughts in his mind. Alex searches through his new perfect memory and searches the ways he can get his new class. While at the same time analyzing all the ways and finding the fastest one depending on location too.

His mind works at speeds that one would consider impossible, he even calculates the amount of exp he could get from the different ways.

'Damn, this Legendary Intelligence stat is something else.' Contemplates Alex, he can't believe that some of the things that he used to find hard are now children's play to him.

'Is this how geniuses feel like?... Then I wonder what will happen once I reach the apex of intelligence. What about 30? 40? 50? 100??? I wanna know what it truly feels like.' He brainstormed all these things in a split second.

Alex truly wants to see what he will be able to come up with now. He just needs to learn some more Rank 3 spells and by the weekend he will be fully-fledged in the rank and be able to display its full power.

Also, he plans to build a fake tooth with a Vampire Serum. Just in case he is at death's door he can stop himself from dying and turn into a vampire. Even though by now it isn't the best time to turn into one, he still wouldn't mind, to him, that is much better than dying and way better than turning into Zombie. Because by turning into a Vampire he at least won't lose Intelligence and his Blood Magic will pretty much explode in efficiency and power.

But that isn't all that there is to it, Alex also chose the Blood Mage as a Class in power, not to just hold on to it. The Class and its power will be usable even in Legend Rank, and in combination, he would experience a metamorphosis. A Legendary Rank… that should surpass all others. He will be able to fight two Legendary Ranks just by himself. Something that a player would never find possible because back in the game, the NPC would practice with the sword for decades to reach a level in which a player just put Exp on. If those two were at the same level and had the same stats… when they fought the NPC would always win, with relative ease too.

Alex was a God Rank player, he had seen how this world fights, and he also has a relatively high fighting experience, especially with the Mage Class. But that is where the problem comes... what about the hundred years old monsters in this world with centuries of experience? Would he be able to fight them? No… at least in a normal setting. But with his classes, he can raw power things and use blood rituals that will give him an edge in the future. He could still fight a couple of Legendary Rank people.

Usually, by the time someone reaches the Legendary Rank, they don't need to worry about aging. They have already discovered a method to live on. From Alex's memories, the best one was the one the Headmistress had. Back when she was just about to break into Legendary Rank, she had tricked the Gods into 'curse' her with eternal youth.

'The Headmistress…' Alex is quite glad he didn't have to directly meet her today. He isn't sure how much he can hide from someone like her who tricked gods. As he contemplates that, he looks at his Wisdom Stat and thinks on maybe raising it will help. He has a five in it, so above average. 'No, I must use them on intelligence. I can raise Wisdom and the other stats naturally.'

He knows that he is no longer in a game, so stats can be raised naturally, and he plans to raise them later on. But first, he is only six, so there is a limit, and also he wants to be Legendary Rank to feel safe at first. He has some time till the Awakening of the Beast Emperor comes, so he needs to raise his power. Because that guy was defeated only by millions of players tiring him out and almost all of the Legendary Rank humans fighting against him… only after killing half of the Legendary Ranks did he finally get defeated by getting forcefully teleported into space. Even then his death was kind of unconfirmed, and most players had some wild theories of his return, though it never did quite happen.

After all, space in this world isn't quite safe either. Especially for oxygen-breathing creatures.

Still, though, Alex just goes down and lays on his bed, next to Lily. He looks at her and smiles. She also looks back at him calmly.

"What are you looking at?" Lily asks in annoyance. Feeling uncomfortable with Alex looking at her so intently.

"Nothing, I just wonder how you will look when you grow up." Answers Alex, mixing his answer with half-truths.

She just looks at him with a calm look and says. "No… I do not like you that way."

"Huh?" Alex acts like he doesn't know what she is talking about. In the end, she rephrases it and says again. "The chances of me and you being in love are less than zero."

Alex isn't bothered by this. So he decides to tease Lily a bit as he raises a questioning eyebrow and says. "So there is a chance then?"

"No. You are not my type at all." Says Lily. "I want a man with low self-esteem, who I can easily get to do whatever I want and I can also insult him to lower his self-esteem. He will think of me like everything he has while I distance him for his family."

Alex snickers as he hears that. "It seems like I am a bad influence on you."

Though he says that, he can't help but think that Lily is quite the malicious girl. Well, everyone has their tastes in different partners.

Lily just smiles slightly and goes back to cultivation. Alex also closes his eyes and 'cultivates' his mana… but he is looking through his memories trying to find the hidden details from his gameplay in his first life. Things that he didn't pay too much attention to.

Booom!

"Yaho~ I am back~" Comes a voice from the front door as a giant ice spike goes through it.

But Alex doesn't even move from his bed and is calm. At Rank 3 he has put top-level spying spells all around the room by now. Also, he knows who the girl is.

Ain just comes through with a huge grin on her face. "Let's wreck this place up. I am super-rich now! Also, Alex, you are super-rich. Yahahaha…"

Alex smiles at this, while Lily looks at this weirdly the latter is fully on guard and almost throws her dagger at Ain. But thankfully she was able to stop herself.

"Oy, Ain, don't come in so rudely. Also… did you have to destroy the door?" Asks Alex, a tired tone in his voice. To him, Ain is just too weird, even for a wizard.

Ain just smiles at Alex...

A/N: The side characters aren't dumb, especially the ones in position of power. Though Alex isn't dumb either, so let's see where this goes.
