Chereads / In A Game As A Blood Mage / Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

As the apprentice says that, Alex isn't really intimidated. 'He used some Magic Enhancements that were on the door to close it like that. But he does know that I can just open it and keep it so forcibly.'

Alex knows how he did it and he also knows that the door on itself is technically a magic item. 'He must think that I am just some kid trying to steal some Magic Item Making resources. So he is smart… but not that smart… he just stopped someone who he has no idea how strong he is or who he really even is.'

In the end, Alex turns around and smiles at the teen. "Woah! That's amazing, did you out the Roghmo Enchantment on the door. I only know that it's used to close chests, not doors. Wow, this is amazing… and kinda cool. Definitely using this in the future."

As the teen hears Alex talk technical like that he thinks. 'Ok… he might really be Viper's apprentice, he knows about Enchanting and even mentioned the Roghmo Enchantments. Well better play this off as doing this intentionally.'

"I know right? It's pretty cool." Says the teen as he smiles a little at this.

"Yep." Says Alex as he opens the door and walks back outside. 'Well, I should rob as many places like this as I can today. Because by tomorrow word will get out and everyone will be on the lookout for me.'

….

Alex continues to play mind games against some other apprentices. Some he fails to get anything off, some he gains some more stuff from.

While technically he could buy the things because he has the money to. He plans to use the 15,000 Gold for something else entirely.

After that, as the shops soon will start to open, he cancels the spell on his face and his features return back to normal.

He winces a little as the pain as he had been holding the spell active for quite a while now. Almost an hour…

'Now, I must return back to the mansion.' Decides Alex, he doesn't want to stay out here till night or he might have another "accidental" encounter. He knows what is good for him, he won't challenge the Mage of Gungai if he doesn't have to.

….

Alex returns to the mansion and sees that Lily is meditating. He doesn't bother her and just drops a small pile of different strange tools that seem like combinations of different utensils and mechanical tools.

He then takes out the dragon horn and unwraps it from the red cloth. Immediately Alex makes countless minuscule small red magic seals around the dragon horn.

The Draconic Aura from the object immediately subsides. Alex bites his thumb and starts drawing strange runes around the horn.

The runes would be something that should be impossible for someone like him to know… but he remembers them from the gameplay during his first life.

Alex smiled slightly at this, he doesn't yet have the power to soulbond an item like the Dragon Horn or cause it to have a self-destruction sequence if someone else uses it.

But he has the next best thing if someone else except Alex uses the horn. Well, an explosion around the horn will occur. Now it doesn't matter if the mage/warrior is a Rank or two above Alex. An explosion to the head, point-blank will definitely kill the mages and heavily injure the Rank 4 Warriors. After all, just because one is a Rank above, doesn't make them unbeatable by those below their Ranks, it just means that they have more Mana/Ki or higher stats.

If every battle was decided on stats and Ranks alone, then there would be no need for fighting at all.

….

….

….

One week passes like this, Alex going out and completing different missions around the city during the early morning. He has completed over a dozen missions and he smiles as he looks at his Exp bar… it is just a little over 7000 Exp. This makes him a little giddy as he thinks of the strength rise he will experience once he arrives at Magic Academy.

He is currently on his bed lying down, while Lily meditates next to him. It is early morning and he is getting ready to go outside once again, but he is reorganizing his thoughts and playing countless situations in his head.

He is organizing the quests that he will do today and have a timer for every single one of them.

He is about to get up when he hears Lily moan. "Ahn~"

He stops and looks at her weirdly, but his brain immediately catches on what is happening. Lily is breaking through to Rank 2.

Alex stops and contemplates leaving her alone as he goes to complete his daily quest. But in the end, he decides to stay back and look after her.

….

One hour later and Lily finally opens her eyes. She looks around and frowns slightly when she sees that Alex is next to her.

"What are you doing here?" Asks Lily.

"Well this is my room, I am supposed to be here." Answers Alex without missing a beat.

"No… I mean that you should be out doing your thing out there." Says Lily, she knows his routine already. "So why did you stay back today."

Alex only gives her a side glance. "Well, there are many reasons I could give you. But the main one is that you were during a critical breakthrough. I didn't want you to somehow fail."

Lily smiles slightly at that. "You aren't as cold as you appear to be."

Alex doesn't say anything at that, as he gets up and packs up his usual daily equipment. He just walks towards the door, and Lily's eyes trail him as he walks outside.

He walks outside and as he does so, Lily sighs slightly. 'He isn't that bad, he just seems like a very cautious guy.'

..

Alex on the other hand has a smirk on his face as he walks outside of his room. 'She is Rank 2 now… so I can complete some more Quests with her help. My Exp intake will skyrocket.'

….

….

Three weeks pass and the month that he was supposed to wait for the ships to arrive that will take him and the other children to The Magic Academy.

..

Alex wakes up that morning and immediately looks at the Exp that he has accumulated during this last month and a silly smile appears on his face.

Lily just looks at him weirdly. She isn't used to Alex being so happy. 'It's creepy.'

"Oy! Alex, stop that, it's creepy!" Complains Lily.

He looks at Lily, and his smile doesn't go away at all. "But Lily… I am so happy."

'I have over 90,000 Exp now. How can I not be happy? I even leveled my Life Class and Skills to their max level. Though I couldn't evolve my Life Class.' Thinks Alex, he then extends his arms toward Lily and says. "Lily, hug me…"

As he says that a dangerous aura envelops her as she says. "Oy, stop this, or I will cut you."

Alex pouts at that. Though Lily had gotten stronger, she is still no match for him, though they are still in the same rank.

….

Later on, Alex is back to normal and the knights have come to round up the children. They gather every one of the kids in the mansion yard and there is a massive headcount.

Alex also took Lily as a tag-along 'pet'... it's a derogatory term used by the Magic Academy staff for when a student is allowed to take a servant or guard with him. Though one will have to pay 1000 Gold for that person, and he will still have to take care of him/her during his stay in Magic Academy as they will get no monthly allowance.

'Magic Academy… HERE I COME!' Exclaims Alex internally.

AUTHOR NOTE:

We will now start seeing the real monsters. Gungai City's people will be nothing in comparison to the Magic Academy. Everyone in there will have their own little schemes going on.

P.S: Now I have a little more time to write.😉
