Henry's eyes drifted to me then back to Landon as if he is doubting if I should hear their talk about this certain man.
"He is, but not to me," Landon said.
"What do you mean by that? Is he a friend or an enemy?"
"Please be reminded that I don't see anyone as a friend. It's either a subject or a person I can benefit from."
That is certainly like Landon so I'm not suprised.
"So is this person your subject or a person you can benefit from?" I asked.
"The latter."
I nodded. Landon's attention went back to Henry.
"Schedule a meeting tomorrow with the atelier. I will make Eve choose her dress for the ball."
