"Will I see you tonight?" I ask, hesitant and uneasy. Seeing Carter acting weirdly is very strange and unusual.
"I think I won't be able to stay with you tonight."
"Oh," I nodded.
"Let's just see each other tomorrow," he said and kissed my temple before he gestured to me to go inside.
I sighed and just went inside with my mind clouded with thoughts. I just consoled myself that whatever he is hiding from me, I'm sure he has a valid reason why he doesn't want me to be involved in it. I'm sure it is related to my safety, because if it is not, he will tell me everything.
