Right when I entered my room, I saw Carter standing near the window. I put my bag down and went to him. I know Mom hasn't changed her mind about Carter yet and I'm sure Carter heard her thoughts earlier, which I'm sure are not very pleasant to hear.
"You know, I think it's about time for you to meet Mom. If she would know you, then she might change her mind about you soon."
His eyes grew gentler. "Are you sure?"
"Yes. I mean, what is wrong about you meeting my mom? Isn't it just right to do that?"
"Of course, I would love to meet your mom as your boyfriend."
"So it's settled, then. Let's just find the right time one of these days."
He nodded.
It was a peaceful night for the both of us. I slept with a peace of mind because there is no killer vampire hunting for me, and Carter just by my side.
