"Good to know that. Anyway, do you want to join me for lunch later?"
"I would love that, but you won't have a real lunch." I raised my brow while smirking.
"I mean... us," he added that got me confuse for a moment.
"What do you mean 'us'?"
My lips fell apart when I realized what he meant by that.
"You mean... lunch with your family?"
"Well, if that sounds more appropriate to you, then yes."
"Today? In the cafeteria?" I asked nervously.
"You sound nervous. Is it because they are vampires, or–"
"Yes, I'm nervous because they are your family and I'm afraid of what they will say. I mean, I should give them a good impression, right?"
He held my shoulders. "Eve, you should not worry about that. Just be yourself. No matter what they will say or anyone will say, I'll always be beside you... holding you like this..." then his hand fell on mine and the storms in me were hushed.
