"I know it, Grandpa. I know what she is and I accept her," Rage said firmly but the respect was still evident on his voice.
"Is she even your real mate?" Tyler butt in. I didn't notice when he shifted back to his human form. The asshole smirked at me as if he won something over me.
"What are you talking about, Tyler? You think I would bring her here if she is not my real mate? You think I would go that far?"
I hate it. I hate this strange emotion I'm feeling because I feel like Rage is protecting me when we both know that all he is saying is just a farce that will never be true. I want to kill him right there and then to set my plans straight even if it will cause my life later on. But thinking about killing him, thinking about his lifeless body in front of me with both my hands stained with his own blood, I don't know why there is a strange sting on my heart, it was as if it was clenched so hard that I had a hard time breathing because of the pain.
