"If I am not mistaken, the Rellis will join the party tonight. They are a well-civilized coven. Be sure to treat them fine," Landon whispered in a sweet tone as if he is talking about a friend rather than a foe. Yeah, based on his encounter with Carter I had witnessed last time, even without me in the equation, I sensed that they are somewhat in the opposing sides. Landon purposely said those words even though he meant something else because there are people surrounding us and he was just being careful.
"If they are your friend, of course I will." I raised a brow at him and held my glass up to take a sip.
Landon did the same but before the glass could touch his lips, he stopped and put down the glass slowly. His head turned to the side and I followed where he was looking at.
I put my glass down when I saw a familiar man I had never seen in person before.
It was Carter.
