Her amber eyes were glowing like soft and warm sunlight that I really love. Those round bright orbs gave me a pleading look.
I looked at Carter who was just standing beside me the whole time. He only smirked at me and shrugged as if he couldn't help me solve anything this time. When I faced Emery again, I sighed and smiled a little. How could I have a heart to refuse this sweet and loving angel, anyway? I am weak when it comes to people who are genuinely kind to me. That is really my biggest weakness.
