"How about Ezera and Arcus?"
My trembling intensified.
"They are dead, my lord."
It felt like my whole world shut down. It was beyond crippling. It was evil. But before I could react, darkness took over my system and all I could remember is the cold floor where I fell.
Slowly, the glittering thing above me became clear. It's a chandelier. I am in my room, in my bed. My sweat was dripping and I didn't know why I was feeling so nervous.
"Don't worry, she is just fine," it was a familiar voice. Is it our family doctor?
I closed my eyes for several seconds. When I opened it again, I froze when I saw my father's worried face, his sea-green eyes reflecting mine. I gulped, suddenly confused as to why I was feeling scared.
