Gin Burtenshaw had spent the first fifteen minutes at the South Manor scolding the guards who blocked the way to the pyramid under Chiaki's order as she was performing the healing incantation for Lance Hua. As they informed him that their lady had instructed anyone who wanted to meet her or her husband had to wait at the Sentalu house, Gin was disgruntled and muttered under his breath with frowned eyebrows on the way there.
He had waited and waited for hours, from mid-morning until lunchtime, then he took a break to help himself with the simple dishes of fish and steamed vegetables the South Manor cook had prepared for Chiaki in the dining room.
