Early in the morning, Su Zhen felt dry in his throat, so he swiftly got up and drank warm water.
He looked at the time and saw that it was already 10:00 in the morning.
With the mentality of completing the task early, he changed clothes and prepare to visit the scenic spot recommended by Hong Wei last night.
He left the room for the hotel restaurant to have breakfast, and then called for a taxi online.
When he finished breakfast, the taxi arrived.
He opened the door and got into the car, confirmed the destination with the driver, and opened WeChat.
At first glance, in Moment, most people were showing off all kinds of goods and where they traveled to.
Su Zhen only liked a few posts posted by acquaintances. After exiting WeChat, he turned to Weibo. It was not very different from WeChat, many people were similarly showing off, but there were also news and scandals.
When the car stopped, the driver politely informed him that the destination had been reached, so Su Zhen paid the fee and got out of the car.
Standing at the gate of Disneyland, he bought a ticket and went in.
The first thing that caught Su Zhen's eyes was the roller coaster. From young to adulthood, Su Zhen had never ridden a roller coaster at all. Now that he saw it, he thought of trying it once.
A moment later, Su Zhen really got onto the roller coaster and fastened the seat belt. He was not nervous as he imagined himself to be, instead, he was kind of looking forward to it.
As the roller coaster started, the speed shifted like lightning, it went from slow to fast in a blink of an eye. A strong feeling of pushing back came from behind, and shrill screams began to appear in all directions.
Although he said he was not nervous, Su Zhen's ten minutes felt like a century.
Finally, it started to slow down, and when it stopped, Su Zhen could not wait to unfasten his seat belt.
After getting off the roller coaster, he found that his body was a little unsteady.
Looking at the new round of tourists who couldn't wait to play next to him, he wondered what kind of fun this broken thing could generate. It was just playing with people's life. There would probably be no second time for Su Zhen at all.
Afterward, he went to watch a few performances, and Su Zhen decided to go to the next scenic spot.
Su Zhen took out his phone and looked at the progress of the task. Next to the task, he found that (1/2) had been displayed. It seemed that the task was already half done.
Then he could go to another city tomorrow and by the way, ask Hong Wei to have dinner in the evening today.
After he decided, he sent a message to Hong Wei, "I'm leaving tomorrow, I'll treat you to a meal tonight. Let's eat at the restaurant we went to yesterday."
Not long after, Hong Wei sent a message back, agreeing to his request.
Su Zhen's stomach suddenly growled. He looked at the time and found that it was 1:00 pm already, only to realize that he had not eaten lunch yet.
He could go for lunch first, then go to the Oriental Pearl Tower after eating, and then just have a meal with Hong Wei.
After walking around, he found a restaurant with a quiet atmosphere and walked in. There were many people inside, but most of them only chatted in a low voice.
He ordered three dishes to his liking and waited patiently. This place had a calm and soothing environment, making it suitable for people who loved quietness.
Half an hour later, Su Zhen paid the bill and walked out of the restaurant with satisfaction. Although the dishes were quite expensive, it was worth the money.
Su Zhen continued to walk around the street twice and occasionally took photos of beautiful sceneries.
At this time, there was a low roar in the distance. Two supercars, a Ferrari and a McLaren, passed by slowly as if to let people admire them, and many people on the street really looked at them with admiration.
Su Zhen was not envious of them at all, after all, he would have money to buy them as many as he wanted sooner or later, so he only glanced at them shortly before he continued to find a good spot for taking photos. Of course, he took photos of the scenery, not a selfie of himself.
When Su Zhen arrived at the Oriental Peral Tower, it was already around 5 in the evening. He looked at this towering building and couldn't help but inwardly admire the effort of the builders, "Impressive!"
He bought a ticket, lined up, and squeezed the elevator to the high floor of the building.
After a long and stuffy wait, he finally reached the floor that was plated with glass.
He stepped on the glass floor and looked outside. From here, he could see the entire Shanghai City at a glance, and the cruise ships on the Huangpu River seemed a bit small.
Su Zhen quietly looked at this mesmerizing scenery that was rarely seen before, watched the mountains in the distance, and took photos quietly.
Perhaps nights came faster, the sun also set faster. When night fell, the lights of thousands of buildings were lit up, just like a city that refused to go to slumber.
He strolled around these floors again, took photos again, and then posted some beautiful ones in Moment.
Looking at the time, it already nearly hit 6:00. He remembered that he had an appointment with Hong Wei for dinner, hence he went downstairs, took a taxi, and went directly to the restaurant where he and Hong Wei ate last time.
When he got to the restaurant, he ordered food readily, and after calling Hong Wei and saying that he was waiting in the restaurant, he read the books on his phone calmly.
Within ten minutes, the door of the box moved, and Hong Wei walked in.
"The dishes are not ready yet, do you want to drink some beer first?" He glanced up and asked.
"Forget it, let's not drink today. I drank a little too much last night, drinking juice is better." Hong Wei sat down near Su Zhen and leaned back slightly.
Su Zhen was a bartender himself; he couldn't avoid drinking alcohol, but he only drank when trying to make a new cocktail recipe or on some special occasions. Drinking alcohol was not entirely bad, but too much was never good. He was relieved to hear Hong Wei's answer, and said, "That's good. I know you have to drink a lot when working at such a place, but try to avoid it if you can."
Hong Wei nodded and changed the topic, "Are you going back home tomorrow? Why don't you play here for a few more days?"
"I'm not going back to Fujian yet; I plan to go to Guangdong Province to play for a few days and then go back." Su Zhen replied and took a sip of aloe vera juice.
After listening to what Su Zhen said, Hong Wei asked curiously, "You seem to be living a very comfortable life, are bartenders in Fujian that easy to make money?"
"I'm not too comfortable, it's mainly because I made some money from stock trading, so I just want to take a nice break for a while." Su Zhen shook his head and made things up.
"I see. Then I wish you become richer." Hong Wei didn't ask more. He didn't know much about stock trading, and he was not interested in it either.
Afterward, the two chatted about their school days back then, and also chatted about some classmates.
Su Zhen didn't have much contact with those classmates at all, and he even forgot what some of them looked like.
After all, Su Zhen had never been to the alumni reunion since graduating from high school, and there were only a few who conducted themselves well during their studies and left contact information.
They occasionally chatted via WeChat or got together on holidays, and they were busy with work the rest of the time.
The time did not have a pause button. After chatting and eating, the time quietly came to around 9:00 pm.
Hong Wei looked at the messages sent by several people on his mobile phone, and smiled wryly at Su Zhen, "I have to go to work, a few people are asking for me. I can only go back to Fujian for the New Year to get together again, and I won't send you tomorrow."
Su Zhen expressed his understanding. Work was not easy, and he had a deep understanding of this.
"Then I'll go first and let's meet again next time."
After paying the bill and saying goodbye to Hong Wei, Su Zhen planned to go to the Huangpu River to take a look.
Arriving at the Bund, he got off the taxi and looked at the night view on the other side of the river. While retaining the sense of European-style old buildings, on the other side was a bustling metropolis, with a river in the middle, facing each other.
Shanghai City was a city that never slept, the lights were on, the cars darted in different directions, and people came and went.
Looking at this night scene, Su Zhen thought of an old song and sang it silently in his head.
Looking at the cruise ships on the river made people yearn for it, making an appointment with several good friends would be fun, swimming in the pool on it, enjoying the beautiful scenery and comfortable wind, and drinking red wine for additional fun.
The lights of the tall building in the summer were like a rainbow, sometimes red, sometimes green, sometimes purple, like a neon coat on Shanghai.
Su Zhen liked Shanghai a little bit, especially the night scene with the quiet atmosphere in Shanghai, which gave him a slight sense of calmness.
Shortly after, Su Zhen returned to the hotel.
After taking a shower, he fell asleep with a sense of anticipation that he would set foot in Guangdong Province tomorrow.
The night passed peacefully…
