Izumi's (POV)
EARLIER DURING THE FIGHT.
As tension filled the air between me and my older brother, a fierce determination welled up within me. I knew I had to buy enough time for my comrades to locate and disable the device controlling Great Red, the mighty dragon.
I faced my brother with every ounce of courage, ready to engage in a desperate battle. I could sense the weight of the impending clash and the gravity of the situation.
In a time-bending moment, Hibiki-nii and I charged at each other, activating my balance breaker to don the red armor. Our fists collided, exchanging blows that sent blood streaming from our lips. We soared above the Dimensional Gap, unleashing a storm of punches, creating explosive sparks and shockwaves. The battlefield became a canvas of power and determination as our clash intensified, each strike carrying the weight of our resolve. The sparks and explosions painted a vivid picture of our relentless struggle, echoing through the void.
BOOM
SMASH
As the fierce battle continued in the air, I could feel the exhaustion creeping in. Breathing heavily, I struggled to catch my breath between each exchange of blows.
SMASH
Overwhelmed by his power, I couldn't help but express my despair. "You're too strong! Is there anyone who can stop you?"
Hibiki-nii wiped the blood from his lips, a smug smirk spreading across his face. "What did you expect? These gifts have granted me unparalleled strength. There's no one who can hope to defeat me unless they possess mystical properties."
"But I possess the sacred gear, and yet it barely even fazes you!" I exclaimed, frustration evident in my voice. I couldn't help but feel the weight of my own limitations.
Hibiki-nii looked at me condescendingly, as if amused by my attempts. "Let me enlighten you. Your sacred gear may have some effect on me, but it's not strong enough to truly harm me," he said, pointing at me with a sense of superiority. "Furthermore, I have lived for countless years, training in other dimensions to further hone my body and powers. I am far beyond your reach."
Why?" I shouted, my voice filled with anguish. "We're siblings, tied by blood and family. How did it come to this? We shouldn't be enemies, but here we are, locked in this battle."
Hibiki-nii looked at me, his expression softening for a brief moment. "I... I don't have an answer," he replied, his voice laced with regret. "Our paths have diverged, and fate has set us against each other."
Tears welled up in my eyes as I clenched my fists. "But we can change that," I pleaded. "We can choose a different path, one where we stand together, not against each other. Please, Hibiki-nii, let's put an end to this conflict."
Hibiki-nii hesitated, his gaze locked with mine. At that moment, I hoped that he would see reason.
" Listen Izumi I had a shitty life, unlike yours you had a fulfilling life, I experience many violence against me and I was weak." He breathed.
" But now things are different after we were taken away from our parents after we were born and announced dead(Miscarriage) about us."
I listened to his words, feeling a mix of sadness and understanding. Hibiki-nii had endured a difficult past, one filled with pain and hardship. I couldn't fully comprehend what he had been through, but I could empathize with his struggles.
"Hibiki-nii, I'm sorry for the hardships you've faced," I said softly, my voice filled with sincerity. "But that doesn't mean we have to continue down this path of conflict. We have the power to change our destinies, to forge a new bond as siblings."
His eyes searched mine, a flicker of vulnerability crossing his face. "Is it really possible?" he asked, his voice tinged with hope.
I nodded, determination filling my heart. "Yes, it is. We can choose a different future, one where we support and understand each other. Let's put an end to this fight and find a way to heal the wounds of our past."
Hibiki-nii's gaze softened, and I could see a glimmer of reconciliation in his eyes.
" Hmph." He chuckled. " Even what you said was convincing I set my goals to return to my original world and bring judgment to them."
Hibiki-nii's chuckle sent shivers down my spine, his determination unwavering despite my plea. The darkness in his eyes revealed a resolve that I couldn't easily sway.
"I understand your desire for justice," I said, my voice tinged with sadness. "But remember, vengeance only begets more pain. Is this truly the path you want to take? Is this the legacy you want to leave behind?"
As he look at me with displeasure he said. " I don't have any attachment to this world even though this an anime I used to watch during my 20s." he paused and…
" So there are no hard feelings in this world but I should thank it for giving me a second life which I truly appreciated it. HAHAHAHAHAHAH…" He laughs sinisterly.
With a disdainful gaze, he scoffed and revealed his lack of attachment to this world, reducing it to nothing more than a mere anime he once watched. Sinister laughter escaped his lips, sending a chill down my spine.
Pointing his palm in my direction, an ominous sensation gripped my senses. I could sense an unsettling energy gathering in his hand, signaling imminent danger.
"Begone," he commanded, his voice dripping with malice.
Reacting swiftly, I instinctively crossed my arms in a desperate attempt to shield myself from the impending attack. A wave of invisible force surged toward me, ripping through my armor with ferocity. Agonizing pain coursed through my body as blood trickled from the wound on my head. Helplessly, I was launched backward, hurtling downwards into the depths below.
"ahhhhhhhhhh!" With a gut-wrenching scream, I was forcibly propelled away, the sheer force of his attack mercilessly launching me through the air. The wind whipped against my face as I tumbled uncontrollably.
Just when I thought we were in dire straits, a young man appeared before us, effortlessly catching me as if the impact hadn't affected him at all.
"Are you all right, Izumi?" he asked with genuine concern, causing my cheeks to flush slightly. I teased him in response, trying to hide my embarrassment.
But our momentary respite was shattered by the sadistic approach of Hibiki-nii. My head still reeling from his previous attack, I struggled to move, my body drained from our earlier confrontation. Helpless, I could only watch as he unleashed a colossal, bright blue energy sphere hurtling toward us.
To my surprise, the massive energy sphere came to a sudden halt right in front of us. Confusion washed over me as I tried to comprehend what had just happened.
It was then that I noticed the young boy named James Heller, holding a mysterious weapon in his right arm, acting as a shield to protect us.
"What is he doing?" I muttered, bewildered by his actions. James began absorbing the energy, gradually dissipating it until it vanished completely. Intrigued, I turned to Ddraig for answers, wondering if James possessed sacred gear like mine. Ddraig confirmed that it was something similar, but not quite the same.
James stood firm, determined to confront Hibiki-nii and put an end to his misguided ideals.
