Chapter 15 - Too Weak

Zhao Xier thought, 'Tsk. Just that? He's the male lead in a novel. Why is he so delicate?'

Zhao Xier left for school at nearly 8.00 a.m. She handed Xiao Jiashu a handful of candy and escorted him to the school bus before strolling toward the North City Middle School.

The North City Middle School was very strict in checking the students' uniforms. Every day, two members from the Student Union would wait at the main entrance. Zhao Xier was already used to that. When she reached the entrance, she just walked straight into the school.

"The one in front... Yes, you! Why aren't you in your school uniform?" A boy called out to Zhao Xier, and the girl next to the boy was stunned. After looking in the direction of the boy's gaze, she recognized Zhao Xier's face. She quickly stopped the boy and whispered, "You don't want to live anymore? Don't worry about him. He's Zhao Xier. Don't provoke him. I hear that he's very good at fighting!"

"How can we do that? We are from the Student Union. If we were afraid of Zhao Xier, wouldn't we be encouraging his arrogance? How will we manage the students in the future? What will the teachers think of us if they know?" That boy was a stubborn one. He wore black-rimmed glasses and had a rather delicate appearance.

Zhao Xier glanced at them. She had some impressions of that boy. He had deducted Zhang Yuanchi's points before. That boy seemed to be the same as Xiao Mohan, who also got into the North City Middle School based on his grades.

"What are you still standing here for? If you're not wearing your school uniform, run two laps around the field. After you're done, you should reflect on what you did wrong today." The boy pointed at Zhao Xier.

"You want me to run?" Zhao Xier laughed as if she had heard the funniest joke in the world. The girl next to the boy was a little scared. She pulled the boy and persuaded him anxiously, "Don't bother Zhao Xier. He doesn't wear his school uniform every day. Just turn a blind eye and pretend you didn't see it. He's the Zhao family's young master. If you offend him, you will have a difficult time at school."

The boy remained silent. His family's financial circumstances were typical. Despite not having to worry about food or clothing, his family was far from Zhao Xier's. He wanted to follow his principles, but he feared Zhao Xier would exact vengeance on his family. After some thought, the boy took a deep breath, picked up the book, and turned around, pretending not to see Zhao Xier.

The corners of Zhao Xier's mouth twitched. Just as she was about to walk toward the classroom, she unexpectedly heard the boy behind her shout, "The one in the white shirt, why aren't you wearing your school uniform?"

The one in the white shirt? Zhao Xier stopped and looked back. Sure enough, she saw Xiao Mohan's figure. That person had left the house half an hour earlier than she did. How did he arrive later than her?

Xiao Mohan did not appear to be in good health. His face was as white as paper, and his red lips had faded entirely. His brow hair was wet with sweat, and his dark eyes appeared to be shrouded in mist. "I have just transferred here, so I haven't got my school uniform yet," he explained to the boy.

"Who are you trying to fool? Don't you have a better excuse?" The boy might have hit a wall with Zhao Xier and was in a bad mood, so he grabbed Xiao Mohan and refused to let go.

"I'm not lying—" Xiao Mohan said.

"Alright, stop lying. Run two laps around the field. If you dawdle again, I'll deduct your points." The boy waved his hand impatiently.

Xiao Mohan pursed his lips and was about to say something when he suddenly saw Zhao Xier standing not far away. "What about him? Is he not wearing his school uniform?"

The boy came to a halt when he noticed who Xiao Mohan was pointing at. Xiao Mohan's words hit him square in the face. The youngster clenched his teeth. He could not bring himself to provoke Zhao Xier, so he could only direct his rage at Xiao Mohan. "You want to compete with him? He is the Zhao family's young master. Who are you?"

As he stared at the angry boy, Xiao Mohan's eyes flashed. The girl beside him could only lower her head in silence because she did not dare to cause any trouble.

Xiao Mohan looked them in the eyes but said nothing. He walked directly to the field. Without the utility system, Zhao Xier would only have to tell them that he was her friend, and Xiao Mohan would not have to endure the punishment. He could enter the school gate with her. Unfortunately...

When Zhao Xier looked into Xiao Mohan's cold eyes, a dull feeling returned to her heart. With Xiao Mohan's physical fitness, it took a lot of effort for him to walk from home to school, let alone run two laps around the field.
