Poor Henry suspended in the air stared Louis in the eyes. Our of no where, tears began to slide down on Louis's face. It turned out he was a big baby. He suddenly hugged father and went on his knees. He cried more than mother. Mother then took advantage of the situation and called in the Ruka couple who fortunately were just behind the door due to all the commotion. They did their best in doing their healing thing on father but it wasn't enough. He was going to need a long time of rest and medication to fully recover.
A month passed and father had finally recovered though he still walked with the assistance of a stick. Louis stuck around most of the time. It turned out he was quite famous. The Rukas, The Nastis and the others would always flood around him with questions and tips. I heard he won countless wars with his Army of undead and that his 'class' was unknown. All this 'curse' and 'class' kept leaving me deeper in the dark.
The day finally arrived and father issued a meeting for the family. It was obvious that it was about deciding what to do with me. It was held around a table in another room in the hospital with a single window. Mother sat in a chair with me in her arms facing the moon which shone brightly in the window. Father and Louis came in as well. After everyone settled, father began:
"Greetings to all present." They nodded in response. "Since we are all aware of the situation at hand, I will cut to the chase. Louis, in the past month, you told me of how you helped father suppress his curse. Today, I ask not as a king but as a father that you take in my son, and teach him the ways." Hearing this, Louis began to stroke gently his long beard.
"No."
With shock, both parents asked, "Why!?"
"Teaching a baby is like pouring water into a basket. Trust me, I have tried. Plus, have you thought of the future of your child?"
"Don't you dare lecture me about parenting. I am literally breaking all the unspoken laws just for him to live and you dare ask me that. Of cause I have thought of his future." Father said with rage in his voice.
"Oh really. Tell me, have you even thought of a name for him?"
"Well...I...I haven't." He says with some shame. "But how are my to think of something as trivial as a name at a time like this." Hearing this, mother steps in.
" 'Trivial'? Our son has no identity Henry. And you call the one thing that can give him one 'trivial'."
"I'm sorry Ritash. I didn't mean it that way. You know I didn't. What do you all want from me. (He turns to Louis) What would you do? You are the great creator of Pingadonia. Tell me what to do."
" 'The great creator'?" He laughs hysterically. "I was a foolish king my time. I chose my family over my kingdom in the time of war and you know what that cost me?- My family! So please if it is advise you want, your father will be the best option, if he was here. For now do what is necessary. In a lustrum, I will be back. Then I will take away the boy. Before then, try to be the best father. You know when your father, Arthur, got his curse broken, I was the only one who could match up to that monster. And right before he died, I made a promise to him. And till I die, I will honor it. He wanted you to live a life without regret."
Finishing up, he went up to the window, he pushed it open then touched the frame. Then this blacking matter began to gather and in the rectangular frame. After forming a frame filled with blackness, it started to stir moving in a spiral manner. It looked like a black hole. Standing there he uttered:
"Also, disclose to the kingdom that the prince lives. Don't worry, you don't have to unveil his identity." After that, he dived in the black hole and he was gone. The hole closed after.
"Henry, what will we do now?"
"We wait. Tomorrow I shall let the Pingadonia know of their prince. For now let's put Amon to sleep.
