It's been noon already, but here in Amsterdam, it didn't seem so. Not even a little bit as the weather is not too clear enough. If it's gonna rain or gonna remain cloudy.
Mabel had just arrived from the grocery shop with two hands full with four big paper bags. Two on the right and another two on the left. From the way she rushed in, one might think she's expecting a visitor anytime soon.
Of course she is!
Her two teenage young friends whom she had met and known (Or should we say, clashed into her apartment for safety few days ago?) Had sent her a text since morning. That they'll be at her place in few hours time.
Mabel is out of everything eatable in the house. No milk, no cereals, no snacks, not even a single juice is found in the counter or refrigerator. She had to restock her apartment like she's just moving in again.
The beep! beep! sound of her phone chiming from her bag, made her abandon the items she was offloading into the counter and rushed back into the small but a little bit manageable sitting room.
"Oh gosh!" She cursed as she began searching for her phone in her little yet faded purse. (What a horrible color this purse must have. I bet even an abnormal being shouldn't be using is anymore. it belongs to the waste basket. Please pardon the comments.)
"There you are!" She sighed, relieved after grabbing hold of the phone like it was going to run off before she sees it.
A notification message has greeted her too-used phone's screen. Mabel carefully fixed on her glasses as she struggles to read the words in the inbox.
It's a message from a customer, asking her to prepare her already paid dress which she had asked Mabel to sew before tomorrow morning. "FAILURE TO GET IT READY BEFORE THEN, YOU'LL PROVIDE MY PAYMENT IN FULL!"
Ouch! Guess that was a little bit harsh!
Just because the customer paid double the amount Mabel asked, she felt she can talk rudely to her? Humans? To err with them.
Mabel never replied to the message anyway. She dropped the phone and hurried back into the kitchen.
These days, Mabel had become so and too addictive towards the two girls, Aria and Ava. She is ready to suspend whatsoever thing she has just to give them attention. But what baffles the most is that, is there any connection bonding them together? because Mabel is becoming more and more parenting towards them.

At exactly 5pm in the evening, Mabel had prepared dinner and almost finish up with the customers dress. She was on the last seams when a knock on the door overtook her attention.
The machine is still moving in match with her legs as she hover it on, while a tape is on her neck and another on her mouth.
"Hmm?" She questioned in a humming sound even with a tape mouth.
No answer, no response, but the door opened and the two expected visitors busted in.
"Aunt Mabel!" They screamed as they dump the shopping bags and rushed towards the machine to give her a tight hug.
The wind that blew pass the girls as they rushed towards her, made Mabel's hair flicked over.
Before she could get up or make a move, arms were already wrapping around her. A perfect smile expanded her lips. She opened her mouth for the tape to fall off and there, she wrapped her arms separately around each of their backs. Rubbing and patting them softly.
"We missed you!" Aria beamed as she retrieved.
"Did you miss us?" Ava asked, childishly.
Mabel chuckled. She loved the presence of the girls around her. It's the only way to keep her company apart from Mia, her best friend, or the boredom, the closest neighbor.
