Los Angeles, CA.
Sebastian and Jin-joo's place
In the garden
"Oh come on, Nelly why are you being dramatic?" Jin-joo chuckled.
Nelly whom is seated right across the table, sighed and pinched her brows, "Ugh, you're sounding like I was kidding. This is realistic, be optimal."
"Listen," Jin-joo uncrossed her legs, flicked her hair backwards and sat upright, "Something you need to know actually is endurance."
Nelly clicked her neck a bit backward and raised her brows, "Oh really?! Haven't you heard of the saying?"
"What's that?" Jin-joo sipped from her juice.
"Endurance is one of the most difficult discipline ever." She gritted her teeth and coiled her fingers in the air as if she's losing her cool.
Jin-joo laughed. Oh if only she could help herself from her sister In-law's funny gists and complaints about her marriage. "Sweetie, you didn't complete it."
"You think?" Nelly probed.
"It is the one who endures final victory comes." Taking a bite from the cookie, Jin-joo added, "So, Cal is gone for a week or two--you still have Khloe in the house. She will keep you company and-" Swirling her finger in the air, Jin-joo flashed her brows as she grinned, "Moreover, turn the mansion upside down before her daddy returns."
Nelly rolled her eyes and supported her head on her elbow which was rested on the armchair. Oh great, now she is seeking an advise from someone who acts like she's done playing a motherly role for her family.
Khloe is Nelly's and Calvin's daughter, Nicholas' younger sister, and Billy, Kingston, Princeton, Winston, Whitney and Britney's cousin. She is just fifteen years of age and still studying in highschool.
"How has it been going with the company? Seb is trying to limit your working schedule." Jin-joo said.
"Mm-hmm, he said I should start taking shifts turns on Thursdays a d Fridays." Nelly sighed.
Jin-joo frowned, "Why? What about Mondays, Tuesdays and all of that? Are they out of your list?"
Nelly shrugged her shoulders and shook her head, "Well--technically, he said I'm a woman and I shouldn't be addictive towards my jobs when my kids are all grown."
Jin-joo spat out her juice as she burst into laughter.
"Oh come on girlfriend, it's for real." Nelly rolled her eyes and muttered.
Jin-joo tried to calm down. She patted her chest, "I'm so sorry I had to let that out. Like seriously, someone has to tell me if Nelly Calvin has broken spine, bones or something."
"You gat to be kidding me, Jin. You really gat to."
"I can't believe your big brother asked you to--wait, is it like he is slowly pushing out of your job?" Jin-joo inquired.
Nelly crossed her arms and gave her an 'I don't know, why don't you ask him when he returns?' look. After a while, she said, "Ryan's cousin Justin Snyder, is in town."
Jin-joo puts down her glass of juice and asked, "Really? When did he arrive?"
"Umm, two days now."
"Did Ava and Aria came alongside with him?"
Nelly shook her head. "Uh uh."
Just while the conversation was still ongoing, Orianna walked in with a cart of food varieties.
While she was busy fixing the dishes on the table, Jin-joo stared at her quizzically. Meanwhile Nelly's main attention was on the food.
She is totally famished. The worms in her stomach growled as soon as she set her eyes on her favorite meal.
Orianna lowered her head and turned around to leave.
"Hey, hold on." Jin-joo stopped her.
Orianna stopped and turned around. If only she could say; 'Yes ma'am?' And if only her grandma's madame could understand her.
Without saying anything, Orianna bit her lower lip and drew closer towards the table. She stood and waited for Jin-joo to take the first talk.
"I'm sorry who are you? I can't really remember if I've come in contact with this face before, I'm I right?" Jin-joo probed.
Orianna shook her head vigorously. You're absolutely right ma'am. She had seen you but you haven't. Infact you both passed out the night together in this same mansion and you never noticed.
Nelly scrunched her brows when she didn't hear Orianna speak. "Are you dumb? Why are you just standing there and keeping quiet why your boss is probing?"
Orianna felt Nelly's harshness from her words. She thinks her words might offend her grandma's madame and she might chase her away. But whatever, who the hell is this woman anyway? Does she live in this big mansion too?
"Don't you speak?" Nelly began to lose her patient. Seeing an average girl standing right before her and her sister in-law like she has already committed some atrocities few minutes ago.
Before Nelly could snapped another word at Orianna, Jin-joo instructed her to stay calm. "Nel, please it's alright I'll take care of this, okay? Enjoy your lunch."
Orianna sighed in peace inside her heart. Ah, now she can smell the fragrance of niceness coming from her grandma's madame.
Nelly scanned up and down at Orianna and hissed with unlikeliness before focusing on her meal. It was totally clear to Orianna that this woman doesn't like her or welcome her presence around here at all. But little do she know that Nelly is not a part of this massive mansion.
"You are-" Jin-joo asked, trying to seek her name.
'Orianna' She answered with sign language.
Jin-joo's eyebrows lifted up and she looked at Nelly whom was also giving her the same astonish expression.
"She is mute?" Nelly whispered.
Jin-joo placed her finger on her lips, silently asking Nelly to keep it down. At the time she tilted her head to ask Orianna more questions, she had already left. "Where did she go?"
"The muted girl finally ran away from Shane." Nelly scoffed and continued eating.
Jin-joo stood up and helplessly shook her head for her sister in-law, "We should be more grateful for having kids who are fully stable. She is someone else's daughter. And remember, no one is perfect." She stated and walked out of the garden.
Nelly rolled her eyes like she doesn't give a damn to every word she just said.
