"No, no, no" he was saying it out loud enough that everyone turned their heads towards the direction he was running. He ran as fast as possible until his lungs hurt. It seemed like the ground was extending infinitely and stopping him to reach her. He could see all the blood gushing out of her wound. All he wanted was to reach out to her, hold her in his arms and help her. But all the odds were against him. He could see all the people reaching her before him. He tried running harder but to no success. She was looking at him with a cry for help. Suddenly, someone lifted her and was taking her away from him. He cried out again "Please let me be with her, please God", he called out to the God for the first time in his life. He started to shiver and black out. He tried to stay awake and look at her. He tried to speak but no words came out. He sweated profusely and shivered violently. He heard someone calling out his name, "Shubh, Shubh" he looked around but saw no one. He was losing his conscious. He heard the voice again, and woke up startled and looked around. It was his room and his mother calling out his name. He was wet in his own perspiration. He realised he was dreaming all this time. But it seemed so real and like it had happened to him in some past experience. The girl in the dream looked familiar as well. "Man, I need to stop watching sad romance and reading those tragedy stories" he said to himself. He relaxed a bit and heard his mother calling out again, "Shubh wake up now. Its 8:30 already and your online class will start soon. Breakfast is ready, freshen up and come fast". He saw the time, it was just 8:00 a.m. Typical Indian mother, always lie about morning time to wake their son on time. "Coming Ma" he replied and got up to get fresh but he couldn't forget the dream he just had. He had his breakfast and moved to his room to attend his online lectures, which was going to last for next eight hours. He focussed on classes and scrolled through the classmate list to check out for some beautiful girl he can fall in love with. But unsuccessful in this mission, he focused his attention back on the class. He wondered about the girl in his dream. She seemed so beautiful that he could have fallen for her if she was anywhere to be real. He remembered bits of her. Dark brown hair with golden streaks that suited her round face. Dreams could be so realistic sometimes. Maybe he was going crazy because of loneliness he thought. He tried to think more of her when he felt a strong pain in his head and before he could understand anything he passed out on the floor, falling from his chair.
