Chapter 33 - Lucian's Plans

In his rage, Andrew had almost lost his mind.

He could not even control his own strength.

The huge aura of an Eighth Realm instantly enveloped the entire City Lord mansion.

Everyone in the City Lord's mansion was suppressed by this huge aura until they could not breathe.

Everyone, including Anthony, was kneeling on one knee. Their faces were red and they were panting silently.

As if realizing his impulse, Andrew slowly withdrew his temper.

As that aura faded, Anthony and the knights were finally able to breathe again.

Anthony was still in shock. Fear flashed in his eyes.

Andrew's powers were terrifying.

As expected of an Eighth Realm expert!

"If such a person goes to the Demonic Forest, the Master probably won't be able to withstand it!"

Anthony began to feel vaguely worried.

If Lucian had been slain by this Adjudicator, Anthony would not have been able to survive alone as Lucian's soul slave.

Therefore, for the sake of his life, Anthony braced himself and stepped forward to speak.

"Holy Light Adjudicator, please calm down!"

As Anthony spoke, Andrew's eyes quickly fixed on him.

Although the other party did not release any pressure at this moment, Anthony still felt a chill down his spine.

Cold sweat broke out on his body.

He even felt like shutting up and letting Andrew do what he wanted.

But he knew that if he did, he would probably lose his life.

So he braced himself and continued.

"Please consider the overall situation. The terrain in the Demonic Forest is complicated, and your strength is unfathomable!"

"Once you enter the Demonic Forest and if you encounter any accidents, this will be the loss of the entire empire!"

"We all underestimated those monsters before, thinking they were nothing more than a mob. But after last night's battle, we know full well that they possess intelligence!"

"And behind such intelligence, there might be hidden strength and powers! Therefore, Lord Judge, I hope that you can prioritize the Empire and not do anything rash!"

Andrew's anger didn't abate at Anthony's words, but grew.

"Hmph! Are you looking down on me? How can a group of demonic creatures resist my Eighth Realm prowess?!"

"Previously, you were the one who said that those demonic creatures were weak and had low intelligence. Now, you're the one who exaggerated the strength of those demonic creatures again!"

"So, what are your intentions?"

Andrew's words gradually turned cold, and Anthony's stomach lurched.

This guy didn't look too smart. Why did he get it now?

Did he really see through it?

Cold sweat trickled down Anthony's forehead as he stole a glance up at Andrew.

He realized that the man was just staring at him angrily. There seemed to be no next move.

That gave him an instant inward sigh of relief.

Fortunately, it was just words of anger.

However, there was no denying that this fellow had already developed a grudge against him.

Anthony swallowed his saliva and said, "Lord Judge, please understand that I don't mean that! What I mean is that we'd better take our time and formulate a perfect strategy! Only then will we not be at a loss when we encounter some unexpected situations!"

"It's undeniable that we have indeed underestimated those demonic creatures before, so we have to give them enough attention now! Because if we continue to underestimate them, we will be irresponsible to the lives of the warriors!"

Anthony's words were heartfelt.

He even managed to squeeze a few tears out of his eyes at the end.

Andrew was already grieving the loss of his warriors.

At that moment, he saw Anthony's attitude and immediately felt sympathetic.

So his tone softened.

"Let's transport the soldiers' remains back first!"

"I'll send a message to the Empire and ask them to send more reinforcements! This time, I'll definitely formulate a complete combat strategy and capture those demonic creatures in one fell swoop!"

Andrew slammed the table in front of him and stood up to leave.

After he left, the round wooden table that was originally placed there instantly turned into sawdust.

Anthony's mouth twitched as he took it all in.

Then he reacted quickly, shouting at Anthony's still-distant back.

"Yes, Holy Light Adjudicator! I will definitely bring back the corpses of the soldiers!"

Andrew stiffened a little at Anthony's words.

Then, with his back to him, he waved and trudged toward the back hall.

Perhaps it was his imagination, but Anthony thought Andrew looked a little more haggard.

But the feeling was fleeting. Anthony had not forgotten his mission.

He quickly reorganized the remaining soldiers in the city, then brought the carriage and rushed to Sunset Canyon overnight.

Originally, it was not his job to clean up the corpses of the soldiers.

But he had his own agenda, so he took the initiative.

He needed to send word to Lucian, to report on Andrew's next decision.

And his behavior seemed to be a sign of loyalty to Andrew.

After arriving at Sunset Canyon, Anthony sent the remaining soldiers to pack up the remains.

Then he quietly left the scene to meet Lucian.

There was a special contact between Lucian and Anthony, but Anthony didn't dare use it in the city.

Because he was afraid that if he used it, the fluctuations it created would arouse Andrew's suspicions.

And now, he had the cover of the wilderness.

Soon, Anthony saw Lucian.

He quickly reported Andrew's decision to Lucian and asked him what he should do next.

After a long pause, Lucian spoke slowly.

"You don't have to stop him anymore. Just let him send his troops! And find a way for him to appoint you as leader of this expedition! Can that be done?"

Anthony didn't understand what Lucian was planning, but he spoke with certainty.

"Don't worry, I can still do this!"

Then they discussed the details and Anthony returned to Sunset Canyon again.

Lucian had also returned to the gathering place of the Fallen Alliance.

After returning, he gathered the leaders of the Fallen Alliance to discuss matters.

He told them what Anthony had reported to him.

And stated his decision.

As soon as he announced his decision, it caused a strong reaction from the many patriarchs.
