The morning sun was up, happy and excited. That was before the grumpy dull clouds overshadowed the morning light.
Everywhere was grey and the weathers was rain threatening.
Lydia woke up late again but still had enough time to prepare, then go to work.
After taking the most relaxing bath ever, she wore a crimson red turtleneck thick cotton long sleeves to keep her body warm against the upcoming cold. Also wearing a black trouser, she also placed some red sandals to match.
The next step was battling with her hair. Minutes of combing and styles where finally over. Lo and behold, the end result was useless. Being frustrated and also late, she left her hair just the way it is.
Rushing to the kitchen, she swallowed her pancakes which was prepared earlier without any chewing. Her throat were now filled up and quite loaded with pancakes, she would be chocking any moment from now, but a glass of water did the trick.
"okay I'll never try that again, try to eat without taking a chew... Mom would be so furious if she was to be here" Lydia said smiling as she remembered some memories of her mother.
Another day would begin very soon, so she walked fast towards the door but froze upon seeing the bouquet of Roses which layed untouched.
A debate suddenly started in her mind...
"should I throw it away?.....
or should I leave it?"
Standing like a sculpture with different reasons not to throw the bouquet away, she dashed outside with the only last option.....
GO TO WORK.
Today wasn't that rowdy because of the weather, it was actually drizzling at the time she came out. Cold stinging breeze blew but with the help of her thick cloth, there was no need to worry.
The bakery door was wide open when Lydia got there. Looking inside she saw Jace, Mr Fred and Janice carrying a mighty cake in shape of different circles sizes.
"Good morning and what a mighty cake you got there" Jace said giving way for them to pass by.
"Good morning Lydia" Janice greeted and Jace followed suit.
"Good morning Lydia, and yes it's a mighty cake..... actually a wedding cake for my best friend and also it is way heavy" Mr Fred dragged the last word to make it sound extreme
"Yeah Mr Fred is right Lydia" Jace spoke up, "this cake actually is so heavy, the weight is about..." before he could finish speaking, Janice interrupted.....
"We don't need your incorrect mathematics"
"Says the girl who can't count from one to ten" Jace fired back mockingly
"what!!!" she turned towards Mr Fred who actually was amused by what Jace said, "You too?, you actually finds this funny?"
"not that I'm laughing because it's funny, but I'm just imagining it in reality..... Janice, the twenty five years old who got fired back with words by an innocent boy of barely twenty" Mr Fred was now laughing at her so hard, tears fell from his eyes
"You mock me" Janice stated with a straight face
"Yes!" both male started the epic laugh war, as they laughed no stop.
Meanwhile, Janice was talking to Lydia about how she baked the cake.
Afternoon finally came and this time, The rain fell terrible that the power went out.
Mr Fred brought out some candles and light them up, one by one. The strong breeze blew heavily also, which means going outside wasn't a good idea and also it was almost impossible to go home.
"let's tell stories" Mr Fred suggested with the most brightest smile
"or maybe we should just continue our baking because we're still in the shop, not done with today's target!" Jace brought out another idea which made the rest nod in approval.
"I'm your boss so when I say story time, you all should shout in excitement..... So, storytime!!!" he looked around only to see serious faces, "I'll reduce your salary from ninety percent, down to ten percent if you all don't scream in happiness and come here right now!".
Immediately he said that, everyone sat down screaming in happiness.....
"Yeah! storytime, I can't wait to listen and also tell stories instead of working" Janice pushed those words out of her mouth with a forced smile
"me too, I can't wait to listen and also tell stories, as Janice just said now.... instead of baking, sweeping or even mopping, like we are supposed to be doing" Jace also gave a forced smile.
Lydia said the same also, but all their words fell on deaf ears.
"so today's story is all about..... DRACULA" Mr Fred blew off a candle to make it more spooky, but that was to his imagination, because nobody gave a scared face, nobody at all.
"seriously, You are going to tell us about Dracula?" Jace took a deep breath before falling down on the floor to pretended sleep
"me too, I'm out of here!" Janice took a chair, placed it in a comfortable position, and slept it.
Mr Fred facepalm, and was about to get up when Lydia sat beside him.
"Sir, can I tell you something?" she asked with a faint smile
"sure, you can" he made himself comfortable.
Looking at her face, he knew fully well it something wasn't right, and it was a serious talk.
Lydia started by telling him about when her door was unlocked, the perfume fragrance and also the most serious parts.....
The bouquet of Roses, the note and also the most important, the invitation card.
Mr Fred was really listening fully to everything she was saying, his face was tightened and his brows, furrowed.
"when the rain goes down, we will have to go check out your house!"
"we?" Lydia questioned him and he nodded a yes.
Assuring in her boss, she looked outside and the rain increased more and more.
"can you please reduce your talking and sleep before the rain stops!" Jace told them, as he was awake ever since. "and also one thing, I'm coming too... I want to see mysteries of a secret lover sending his admirer gifts"
Lydia and Mr Fred looked at him sternly, but he just smiled and layed back.
