Jane wondered why she was calling out to her, they both don't have any business with each other but Jane still stopped out of respect
"good morning, miss. How may I help you?" Jane asked her
"it's nothing serious, I just wanted to know how my daughter is fairing," she said
Jane could not help but roll her eye, she doesn't even care for her so-called daughter, and now she's asking about her well-being how crazy that is
"well little Jane is doing perfectly well, and she's even happier ever since she got here," Jane said trying to point out the kind of a bad mother that she is
Angel saw through her and caught the message and she got agitated
"you are in no position to tell me how to treat my daughter, you are nothing but just a maid and you should be careful how you speak to me, I will be the madam of this house very soon and how you behave will determine if you will continue working here or not" she said
Jane didn't let her words get to her, she knew she was only trying to pull her off the edge and make her react and she would give her the taste of her own medicine
"and you are just a guest here Miss Angel and you have absolutely no right to talk to me in that manner, you are not my employer, Mr. Christopher is, and here's a little piece of advice from a mother to another mother
Take care of your child and make her your priority instead of sitting here wallowing in illusion and dreamland, if you will excuse me I have things to do" she said
Angel was already dying of anger as she listened to Jane talk to her like that, as she watched her turn her back she aimed to push her off the stairs but someone was there to stop her and save Jane
"try pushing her and I will not only have you thrown out of this house but I will also make sure that you spend the rest of your life in jail I swear it," Grace said she walked down the hall and walked to Jane's side
Angel was shocked, she didn't think that anybody would be watching her, she thought she could get away with what she was about to do
Jane was likewise shocked, she knew that she was not a good person but she never thought that she would be that crazy and evil to want to push her away from the stairs, she was shocked, she looked at the angel and she could see the deep hatred in her eyes
"oh Grace what nonsense are you spitting out, I was going to do no such thing we were just having a little mother's talk that's all, you know we are both mothers and you won't understand even if we tell you," Angel said quickly changing her demeanor
"I'm not a fool, Grace, and I'm not one of those people that you can deceive with that fake pretty face of yours; stay away from us, I'm warning you, Jane let's go," Grace said walking towards her room with Jane following behind her
Angel's face changed as she watched them walk away like some sisters, she needed to find a way to get rid of that maid, she would not want anyone to question her government when she took over and became Chris's wife
And did that idiot just say that she was delusional, how crazy and belittling to think of her that way
She was sure that Chris would marry her with time, she could see that Jane was already conquering his heart little by little and she would use her to get to him, she would also wear all those skimpy clothes from today's henceforth and make sure that she seduceseduceshe would have no choice than to succumb to her
Jane followed Grace to the room
"be very careful of that lunatic she's crazy and she can do anything," Grace said
"I did not believe that she would be capable of doing something like that," Jane said
"well now you know so stay away from her" Grace advised her
"since when have you been there?" she asked her
"well for long, I heard when she was called you so I decided to check what's going on, I wanted to come in earlier but I saw how you defended yourself against her so I decided not to bother to interfere but when I saw her trying to push you I knew that was her intention" Grace explained to her
"oh I see thank you very much for saving me, only God knows what would have happened if youhadn'ttshownw up," Jane said
"It's fine always my pleasure anytime," Grace said
"Are you still mad at me?" Jane asked
"I was never mad at you, I just respected your decision and I also felt that we are more like friends and that you should be able to trust me enough to want to tell me anything," Grace said
"of course, I trust you enough to tell you everything, it's just that there's nothing much to say actually, we just kiss each other and that's all," Jane said
"you guys have not had sex?" Grace teased her
"Miss Grace" she almost screamed as she was blushing and Grace could not help but laugh at her
"Okay fine I get the whole gist already, you can stop blushing now," Grace said as she stopped teasing her
She knew she would probably die of embarrassment if she didn't stop
"oh Jane a quick one, the private investigator called me concerning your friend," Grace said.
