The Ongoing Matter
The sculptors didn't wait till evening. They went immediately to report the bad incident to the kings of the villages and the traditional council members.
The kings and the traditional council members were overwhelmed when the sculptors told them everything that happened.
As they heard the unbearable act they organised a meeting and finally concluded by ordering the gongon beaters to broadcast and warn the people of the village that if anyone know or have a hand in stealing of the sculptors sculpts that person should come and report himself or herself at the palace.
The kings and the traditional council members didn't relax on the matter they appointed committee members to do a background check in all the houses in the villages.
When the critics stole the sculpts they didn't take them to their houses they took the sculpts to the forest and went to dig a pit to bury the sculpts.
After the sculptors have reported the case they weren't discourage they had a meeting and made up their mind to carve another sculpt again.
When the sculptors finished carving their lookalike sculpts they ordered their wives to cook breakfast in the morning, lunch in the afternoon, supper in the evening and prepared two plates one plate for their husband one plate for their husband's sculpts like the previous activities they were doing before.
As the critics heard that the kings have made an announcement in the entire village and they knew that the sculptors will report them some run away from the villages those who remained were arrested by the kings guards and the committee members of the village after the one week of the announcement was over.
When they took the arrested culprit to the palace to interrogate them that did they steal the sculpts from the sculptors. They all denied so the kings ordered the guards to take them to the cells in the palace.
As they were in the cells they served and did hard labour as their punishment since they have decided not to tell the truth.
Some of the culprits who fear told their colleagues that they want to tell the truth and if they tell the truth the kings will set them free.
Their stubborn colleagues fought with them and told them that if they tell the kings the truth they will skin them alive. Some were afraid to tell tell the kings but because some of the culprits who were thinking that if they tell the truth the kings will free them from cells decided to tell the truth.
In the night before the next day for them to tell the truth the stubborn culprits killed their colleagues.
In the morning the guards saw some of the prisoners are dead in the cell so they went to report the case to the kings.
The kings ordered the guards to go and tell the family of the deceased that they should come to the palace and witness what has happen to their loved ones in the cell before they decompose their body.
After the family of the deceased arrived in the palace before they left the kings and the elders organised a meeting with them to make an arrangement of how they will get rid of their deceased.
Later the kings and elders of the palace assembled all the guards and instructed them to separate the prisoners and put each prisoner into a cell.
The critics who previously run away from their village to hide in a different village left their family and loved ones behind so it became a challenge for them because they have to take care of their family.
I guess you are thinking that they will go back to their villages right? Sure yeah they went back but not to stay there permanent.
What they did was when it is in the night they disguise themselves and walk through the bush to enter their villages. Sharp early in the morning they will run through the bush and leave the village to go and hide.
They continued to hide themselves from being caught by the guards and the committee members of the village for some years until one bad day someone saw one of them and reported him to the kings of the villages.
As the witness went to the palace to narrate what he saw the kings, the elders and the guards didn't believe so the kings told him that if he goes with the guards in the night and they don't catch even one of the culprit who have run away they will lock him in the cell.
Unfortunately that night the culprits didn't went to visit their family but they changed the route where the witness saw one of them so the kings ordered the guards to arrest the witness and put him to cell.
As the culprits have become suspicious that they are wanted by the kings and the traditional council members of the village they plan the timing and the days of visiting their family.
Because they planned well they were not caught by the guards and the committee members of the villages for a long period of time until one day the guards and the committee members were able to catch one person.
The next day the culprits saw that one member is not among them so they plan to leave the village they were hiding immediately thinking that their friend who has been arrested will tell the kings and the traditional council members the name of the village they are hiding and the particular house for them to be arrested.
