Amberly Pov
"See you," Luna said as she turn off the call. I went inside the flower shop and pick some flowers. There's no one at the counter so I just go directly and choose some flowers. This is my first two days working at Aiden Company it was already dark when my shift ended.
"It's you," I heard a familiar voice so I turn around and look at him.
"Mr. fairy?" I said.
"You look a bit disappointed," he said and place the flowers his holding.
"No, I'm glad your here. It's been days I guess?" I said and walk to the counter with the flowers I pick.
"Right! By the way, did you receive it? The umbrella? I was worried that you might catch a cold." I said.
"Yeah Zach returns it to me," he said.
"That's glad to hear," I said.
"What are these flowers for?" He asked.
"For my little hobby," I said and smile.
"Lik—" he didn't finish what he was saying when a loud thunder sounded and a heavy rainfall came after.
I didn't notice that both of my arms already covered my ears and I close my eyes.
"Reflexes," I said and sigh as I lower my hands.
"You're afraid of thunders?" He asked.
"I just don't have any good memories of thunders," I said and smile bitterly, I really hate it.
"You can just stay here until the rain stop," he said.
"It's seven tho? Aren't you supposed to go home?" I asked. I saw the opening and closed schedules.
"It's still raining outside how am I supposed to go home in that heavy rain?" He said and sat at the seat in front of a glass table, he also offered me to sit down at the next seat.
"Yeah right, sorry," I said.
Now that I saw him this closed his movements are a bit composed and the way he crosses his legs. If I didn't know that he sells flowers I might think he's a rich guy with etiquette. well even though he likes flowers he overall looks are expensive.
"Is there something wrong with my face?" He asked.
"No" I immediately said and shake my head.
"Is that so?" He said.
"yep," I said and look away, did I stare that much?.
"So where did you go to?" I asked.
"Go where?"
"Well I haven't seen you here for days and Zach said you have something that you need to do?" I said.
"Oh that, it's just personal matters," he replied with a smile.
"Alright," I said and stared outside.
"It's always raining nowadays I haven't seen the sun since the other day. It's always cloudy so the sun gets covered," I said.
"I like this better," he said.
"You do?" I asked and look at him.
"Let's just say I have an allergy to the Sun's heat," he said.
"So that's why you're comfortable in weather like this," I said and he nodded.
"Do you not like this weather?" He asked.
"No," I said and bitterly smiled.
"It reminds me of a past I want to forget," I added.
"But that day you were soaked from the rain?" He said.
"It's the thunder I hate not the rain itself, it kinda reminds me of a gunshot during a rainy day with a car flip upside down," I said and look at him.
"Gunshot?" He said.
"It was raining the day we got into an accident with my dad because there were people trying to get us. The road become slippy that's how the car flipped, I got outside first, and then the people who were following us appeared." I said and sigh.
"While dad is trying to get out a man shot him and that shot sounds like the thunder that's why I hate it," I said and look down.
"Why did those people chase after you?" He asked.
"I don't know, I'm just seven that time. All I can really remember was that they are fast, really really fast that they catch us up. As if they just Run it really really fast." I said and stood up, why am I telling this story to him?.
"Oh the rain just stopped, I have to go," I said and grabbed my flowers. As I walk towards the door a loud thunder came. My knees began to shake that I lost control.
"Hey!" Mr. Fairy said and catch me from falling down.
My breath becomes heavier, I just couldn't focus. another thunder came that I immediately closed my eyes. All I could feel is him embracing me while I'm in my tears. Those pictures of that day flashback in my memory.
"Are you sure you're okay now?" He said and gave me a glass of water.
"Yes, sorry I acted a bit... Weird," I said and lower my head. What the hell did I just do come back to your senses Amberly! This is humiliating!.
"It's alright I understand you," he said. "By any chance, does this always happen?"
I look at him seriously and nod.
"Right," he and stand up.
"I'll drop you off at your house," he said and take out his umbrella.
"Are you sure," I said.
"Of course," he said. "You have to get in, in the car first," he said and take me inside his car.
He closes the flower shop before entering the car.
"Are you sure this is okay? I just—" he cut me off.
"You don't want me to accompany you?" He seriously asked.
"N..no it's just I'm still embarrassed about what happened earlier," I said and lower my head.
"It's really alright tho, don't worry about it too much," he said and start the engine.
"Ah, by the way, I don't know where your house is can you point it where?" He added.
"Yeah sure," I said and smiled.
As he drives I noticed the mirror reflecting his eyes, I stared at it so much that it suddenly turn red. I close my eyes and look at his eyes again but the color isn't red?!. Why the hell I'm seeing things?!.
"Is there something wrong?" He asked.
"No, I just thought I saw your eyes turning red," I replied.
"Really?" He said seriously.
We arrive at my house not so long, it's not that far from the flower shop.
"You live alone?" He asked as he help me open the car door. I think he noticed that the lights are still off.
"Yeah," I replied.
"Be safe," he said as I unlock the gate.
"You too, and thank you," I replied.
I went inside my house and headed directly to my bedroom lay on my bed and stare at the ceiling.
"Your an idiot Amberly, how could you let him see that side of you?!" I mumble and cover my head with a pillow.
"Totally dumb," I added.
I arrived at the company earlier than my schedule. I have to do a lot so I can adjust here.
"I wonder when will Manager Ashley arrive?" I whispered. There are only a few people inside the company.
"Excuse me?" He said as he knock at the door.
"Yes, come in," I replied.
"Oh Sir Aamon," I said and stood up.
"Ashley still isn't here?" He asked.
"Yes sir, she will likely arrive at 7 am," I said.
"Is that so, then can you help me instead?" He asked.
"Definitely sir," I answered.
"Alright follow me." He said and turn around.
"These are the new product reviews, this has to be delivered at the CEO's office but as you can see I can't do that right now," he said. His office is filled with so much paper works.
"Can you deliver it there?" He asked.
"Yes, sir I can."
"Great, here." He said as he handed me the documents. "The CEO's office is still more likely empty so you can ease,"
"Then I'll go ahead," I said and smile.
"Alright, thank you."
I walk to the elevator and press the highest level of the building where the CEO's office is located. I haven't been there so this is my first time Manager Ashley said that that floor has the most beautiful view. I'll look at it after I delivered these papers.
I arrived at the floor and the view of the city greeted me through the glass walls. I went inside the office but it was too dark. I grabbed my phone and turn the flashlight on. I place the documents on the table and went around to find the switch for the lights. The glass walls here are covered with thick black curtains.
"There!" I said and went to the light switch when someone grabbed my hand and pinned me to the walls my phone fell and I can't see him clearly.
"Who...Who are you?!" I got chills when he spoke with that cold tone.
Sir Aamon said there's no one in here?!.
"An assistant manager, I got the task to deliver the documents," I replied.
He didn't speak but I could feel his breath coming closer and closer to my neck.
"You really smell good I wonder if you also," he didn't finish what he wanted to say and instead he let go of me and walk away towards the papers I guess?.
"You can turn on the lights," he said.
"Y..yes," my legs are shaking still can't process what just happened.
I pick up my phone and turn the lights on, I got shocked when I saw his face.
"Mr. Fairy?" I whispered. He seems to be different. I mean he's wearing a suit and leaning at the table while reading the documents.
"You can get out," he said coldly. He didn't even look at me.
I look at the name plaque on the table in says. Psalm Aiden the CEO of this company?!
"You're the CEO?" I said.
"How come an assistant manager doesn't recognize her boss?" He asked and cross his arms and stared at me intently.
"I...I'm sorry sir, I'm a newbie."
Does he seem he doesn't recognize me?! I mean he just drop me off at my house yesterday, isn't it?.
He stood straight and slowly walked toward me. As he got closer and closer my chest came running so fast.
"I really like your smell," he said and played with my hair.
"I'll let it go since I like you, you can leave," he said and turn around.
I immediately went out to his office and put my hands on my chest. this will be the stupidest thing I'm saying right now but he looks hot in a suit!. Wait what if he is really Mr. Fairy? He didn't recognize me nor know me. Mr. Fairy is kind, soft hearted, and cute while that guy is hot tempered, I think he gets annoyed easily, and lastly daddy figure.
There's no way They're the same person, I mean how? What if their twins? Right?. Oh, this makes my head hurt I should head back now.
The elevator opened and my eyes widened when I saw another familiar face.
"Please tell me your name isn't Zach?!" I said.
"Amberly, what are you doing here?" He said and look at my ID. I can't process what's happening so I slowly turn my head back and pointing the CEO's office. So that means he....He is Mr. Fairy?.but why the hell is going on that he didn't recognize me?.
"Oh no this won't do, you need to explain," I said and crossed my arms.
"I see, you saw him?" He said. "I didn't know you work here?"
"So am I," I said.
"He didn't recognize you didn't he?" He said.
"Yeah, how did you know?" I asked.
"Because I might never be able to get out there alive!" He said.
"Well if you get out there alive I'll treat you luch tomorrow, but Rest in peace if you won't," I said and went to the elevator.
"Your heartless," he said.
"Too much to process this morning," I whispered and sigh before the elevator closed.
