Chapter 41 - The 1st encounter.

1 hour before Lucy and the children have met

Right after they left the mansion, Lucy, Mayners, and Classie went for a walk down below where the forest is and up where they reside.

As they walked and wondered around the forest, Lucy spotted a wild unicorn. It has a long, flowing black mane and tail, a single spiraled black horn in the middle of the forehead, and smooth yet firm black skin.

Lucy approached it carelessly without any ill intention or concern about the danger if it ever attacked her.

Once Lucy got close to the creature, the unicorn immediately tried to tackle her using its horn.

However, Lucy, with her quick reaction, immediately moves aside and punches the creature as hard as she can, which is enough to knock it out.

"Stay down, you failed beast."

Lucy's voice was cold and calm, and she dealt with the unicorn without mercy.

After knocking it down, Lucy walks towards it and crouchs down.

"Elder Sister Mayners! Can we take this beast back home?"

Mayners slowly descends from above with Classie beside her.

"Of course, Milady. However, I am afraid the other pets you have might accidentally destroy that thing before it can receive recognition from others."

Her calm and reasonable response made Lucy think for a moment.

"Hmm... You're right, but I have a way to make them obey. Hehehe, watch..."

As Lucy said, she chants.

[Hand of a God]

and instantly, her hand glows brightly.

From that moment on, the beast's body glowed, and it regained consciousness. The beast flailed as it tried to stand itself up.

As it stood up, the beast looked at Lucy menacingly until Lucy smiled at it, and then it instantly changed into a humble and lovable creature that wanted to please its master.

The beast lowered its head as if it wanted its master to caress its mane.

Lucy will comply, as she finds it adorable for such wild animals to behave properly.

She caressed it until it sat down on the ground.

"There you go. Now, that's what good creatures should be. So... now, you recognize who your master is."

The unicorn made a noise as if it were happy before it bit Lucy's dress, lifted her up, and put her on its back.

"Woah!" Lucy said in shock at the sudden action of the beast.

Then once again, the unicorn made a noise.

"What? There's a place you want to go? It's an interesting place?"

Then the unicorn once again made a noise, as if what Lucy had interpreted was what the beast meant.

"Alright then. Let's go!"

The unicorn made a noise once again and fled as it ran off into the deep forest, leading into the unknown.

Mayners and Classie, who were caught off guard, jolted as soon as the beast left with Lucy in a hurry.

"Milady! Wait!"

Classie and Mayners both leapt, then immediately opened their wings, which consisted of nothing but black mist, and flew swiftly.

"Milady! Please stop!!! If Big Sister knew about this, we're severely going to get punished for sure! So please stop!!!"

"I don't want to!" said Lucy as she tapped the unicorn's body and boosted it up with her blessing from the Hand of a God.

"Milady! Stop! It's dangerous to go deep in the forest!" said Mayners.

Classie, who was with her sister, has begun to be terrified as Lucy and the beast get farther away with each passing second.

However, before Lucy and the beast get away from their eyesight,

Mayners halted and shouted:

"I said, Stop! Lucy, life bringer!!!"

All the trees, rocks, and nearby beasts were instantly blown away. Mayners's voice echoed throughout the entire forest. Even the birds that were 1km away from them flew away from the shock wave.

"!" Lucy, who heard and sensed the wrath of Mayners, the unicorn she mounted, halted.

No, the beast lost consciousness as its mouth bubbled up.

The beast stumbled on the ground, making Lucy jump off before it happened.

Calmly and unfazed by Mayners's anger, Lucy didn't look back; instead, she ran off once again, but this time on foot.

She burst herself up and quickly left Mayners and Classie behind once again.

"!" Mayners was surprised that not only Lucy didn't get fazed by her anger, but she even ran off once again.

Even though Classie and Mayners chased her with full strength and power, they were all unable to match Lucy's divine blessing.

Thus, both of them have completely lost Lucy.

"This is a problem, Sis! We lost Lucy! What are we going to do now? If Big Sister Lilith knows about this, I am sure not only will we get punished, we'll probably get locked up!"

"Shut up! The situation is already terrible; with your loud voice, it only makes it worse!"

Infuriated and annoyed, Mayners can't calm herself down while thinking of a solution and an excuse once they confront their sister, Lilith.

"I don't have the tracker with me, and Big Sister Lilith is the one who always holds it. She never entrusted that device on us. What to do!!! If Big Sister finds out, I am dead for sure."

Then, at that moment, Classie made a suggestion.

"Sis, how about we deploy the Lugras to find Lady Lucy?"

"No! We can't do that! If Big Sister Lilith finds out that the Lugras have left their stations, not only will she know something's wrong, but she'll probably leave immediately from the mansion. And if that happens, we're dead!"

As Mayners's software in her mind is about to explode due to overthinking.

They heard a voice coming above them.

"Mayners, Classie, go back and inform Lilith of the truth. Tell her I'll handle the rest here."

Unaware of the mysterious voice, both of them look up.

A silhouette of a man appears from above.

The man doesn't have wings or the aura of ill-intention or menace; instead, he has the aura of a calm and collected being.

Then the man descends from the sky, revealing himself to Mayners and Classie.

His face is covered in scars; he has a beard, yet his face looks so young; he has a dark skin tone; he's tall; his body is well-built and healthy, but covered in scars like his face. He had black short hair, was wearing animal skin shorts, and nothing else.

Mayners and Classie, who are unaware of who the person was, have immediately drawn their weapons and pointed at the person who descended from the sky.

"Who are you!" asked Mayners while pointing her sword made of dark mist at the man.

The man looks at Mayners, calm yet bewildered, before he moves the sword away from his face.

"Mayners, calm down; it's me, Satan."

"!" In shock, Mayners and Classie immediately put their weapons away and bowed down to Satan.

"My deepest apologies, Elder Brother Satan! I didn't mean to disrespect you; please forgive the foolish one for her ignorant action!"

"It's alright. It's normal that you wouldn't be able to recognize me because of this vessel. So there's nothing to forgive. Anyway, I'll handle everything from here, so go back and tell Lilith that Lady Lucy is in good hands."

"I understand, Elder Brother Satan."

"Ahh! I forgot... Tell her as well that don't worry about Lucifer's wrath. I'll report him what happened today later, so tell her to calm down and do what she always does."

Then Satan turned away and left as he leapt and hopped on trees one after another.

Before both Mayners and Classie get caught up in an unusual and unprecedented situation, they look at each other bewildered and confused.

"Sis, do you think everything will be alright?"

"We don't know unless we do what Elder Brother Satan told us, right?"

"I guess so?"

"Then let's go back..."

And so, both Mayners left and headed back to the mansion, where Lilith was waiting for their arrival.

Upon returning, Lilith was standing in front of the gate, releasing such a menacing aura.

Sensing danger, both Mayners and Classie immediately knelt and bowed down on the ground.

"You two... I told you to watch Lucy closely, didn't I? Here, what am I hearing from Satan that you let Lucy outrun you? Do my words just contain toxic air that is not worth hearing?"

"But big sister! Lady Lucy use a divine blessing!" Classie lifted her head from the ground as she gathered her courage to reply to Lilith's menacing statement.

"What is this? Instead of seeking forgiveness for the task that you failed to fulfill, you decided to speak a reason and your pathetic excuse in front of me? Are you really testing my patience, huh, Classie?!!!"

Lilith leans forward, her eyes burning in anger.

Her cold and terrifying gaze made Classie terrified and shiver from the very core she had.

She immediately slammed her head on the ground as she realized her mistake.

"No, Big Sister! My apologies!"

"Next time you say something besides admit your mistake, I'll make sure you'll never see the sunset again. Understand?"

"Y-y-yes! I understand!"

As Classie replied, firm and terrified, Mayners, who hadn't said anything yet, was already on the brink of losing consciousness.

Because, besides Classie, she is also terrified by her sister's wrath.

She quivered in fear, she cold sweated in terror, and she was silent in horror. Everything is because of Lilith's terrifying and menacing aura, which emits throughout the entire premise.

She couldn't do or say anything other than kneel and beg for forgiveness.

Then...

From that moment on, Lilith shifted her attention from Classie to Mayners.

Her piercingly cold and terrifying gaze made Mayners shiver, as she immediately sensed that her sister, Lilith, had diverted her attention to her.

"Mayners..." Lilith said, cold and firm.

"y-y-y-Yes! Big Sister!"

Mayners flinched and then stutters as she responds to Lilith while her face is still facing the ground.

"Mayners, do you have any excuse like Classie, or do you admit you have made a mistake as well?"

"No, Big Sister! I admit, I made a mistake, so please forgive us of how incompetent we are! But, please at least listen to what sister classie has told. It's true that we're unable to catch Lady Lucy due to her using her Divine blessing! Please understand that Lady Lucy's Divine blessing is far more unique than God and our creator! I beseech for sister to have mercy on us!"

"..." Lilith didn't say anything; instead, her aura slowly receded along with her anger.

Until Lilith walks between them and stands behind them, she speaks calmly and collectedly.

"Go back inside. This matter ends here. Understand?"

"!"

In surprise, both Classie and Mayners immediately lifted their heads and looked at her sister, who was standing behind them.

However, instead of witnessing Lilith's benevolence, they saw something else.

Hearing their sister calm made them instantly happy, but they instantly changed as they saw the sky become entirely pitch black, where the light became total darkness.

"Get everyone back inside now. And set a barrier if you all want to live."

Without questioning Lilith, both Classie and Mayners run inside in fear, while the Lugras and Valrats get back inside the mansion.

As Classie and Mayners ran off back inside, Lilith released a huge amount of power and leapt forward, where the trouble and menacing power are.

As she flew, Lilith's expression turned from collected to anxious.

"Please, Lady Soul! Don't destroy everything! Don't sleep!"

Meanwhile, on the other side, where Lucy is, after encountering a group of people 30 minutes before the sky turned into complete darkness, Lucy's curiosity rose up as she approached the kids with such greetings.

"I am Lucy."

"Lucy?" said one of the girls among them.

"Yep, Lucy! That's what my creator has given me."

"Creator? You mean God? You were created by God himself?"

"God? Who? No. My creator's name is Lucifer."

"!" As the group heard that name, everyone stood back and took an arm as they guarded and were wary towards Lucy.

Lucy, who witnesses their sudden reactions, has begun to bewilder and wonder, Why are they acting strange?

Until one boy speaks in such a low voice, then shouts at the end.

"Blasphemy: A Demon... Spawn of a Devil's Creation!"

The girls hide behind the boys backs, holding their spears made of pointy rocks and firm wood and their axes made of sharpened stone.

Even though the boys were shivering in fear, they tried to stand firm, gathering their courage to survive.

Lucy, who is unaware of the situation, is starting to get confused.

Thus she asks innocently

"Are you guys ok?"

However, the boy who was talking to her the entire time shouted.

"Shut up, demon!"

Lucy was startled by the noise and immediately shut her mouth.

Then, from that moment on, one of the girls who was hiding from the four boys grabbed a stone near her and threw it at Lucy.

Lucy, who was unaware of her surroundings for a moment, got hit by the stone that girl threw.

Bleeding from her forehead, Lucy's eye sight started to blur, and as she touched the warm yet cold blood dripping from her forehead,

"w-w-what is that f-for..."

Then Lucy drops.

Losing her consciousness entirely.

"!" Seeing the Lucy drops, one of the boys was surprised and looked at one of the girls behind him.

"Who did that?!"

"!" The girl who threw the stone got startled before she replied frighteningly.

"It's me," the girl said.

"You... do you know what you have done?!"

"But, as you said, she's a demon, so I thought throwing her a stone would at least help."

"!" The boy held his words, hearing the girl's statement.

Then he turned away from the group and began to walk towards Lucy.

However, before he even got close to Lucy's unconscious body, he shouted.

"Next time, don't ever do that again. If you provoke a demon, none of us would ever survive! Remember that!"

The girl responded wimpily.

"Yes, Elder Brother."

Then...

As the boy approaches Lucy, who's bleeding on the ground.

The sky started to get darker, and clouds started to form together and rumble.

Every time the boy steps and gets closer to Lucy, a thunderclap echoes in the sky. Along the way, the lights are constantly devoured by darkness.

The group of kids who were standing in fear have started to shiver and flock together as the air starts to get colder and colder.

From that moment on, as the boy who was approaching Lucy was two steps away from Lucy's unconscious body, one of the girls shouted.

"Elder Brother, let's go back right now! I am scared! Please!"

The boy stops and looks at Lucy before turning away from her, getting back to his group, and leaving.

"Let's go! The sky suddenly gets dark! Grab all the baskets, the herbs, and everything else! We're going to the village!"

In a hurry, the kids grab their belongings and leave.

However, before they left, one of the boys asked the kid who approached Lucy.

"What about that demon, Elder Brother?"

The boy hesitated before answering back. "Leave her. After all, she's a demon. She'll be able to survive."

"I understand, elder brother."

"Let's go!"

Then they left.

Or what it should be...

However, 10 minutes later, after the group of kids left, the boy came back.

The boy, who was on guard and was a bit concerned and wary towards Lucy, came back with a torch and a bag with him.

Exhausted and sweating, the boy runs off towards Lucy and immediately kneels down beside her.

He plops the torch on the ground, opens his bag made of animal skin, and grabs herbs.

"Damn it! I knew it! She wasn't a demon! The bleeding doesn't stop!"

The boy tried his best to aid and tend Lucy's wound.

He grabs two stones, crashes all the herbs until they release their liquid, and puts them where the bleeding is.

However, using his hands as stoppers doesn't help, and he immediately took a glance at Lucy's dress.

Knowing Lucy's dress is made of silk and has a lot of space to cut,

The boy didn't hesitate and immediately grabbed his stone knife from his back, cutting off a large amount of clothing from Lucy's dress.

From that moment on, he tightly wrapped it around Lucy's forehead, where the herbs he applied to stop the bleeding were.

However, that wasn't enough.

Lucy's still unconscious.

So the boy stood and looked around him to find a leaf big enough to fill a small amount of liquid herb.

And finds one near him.

He quickly grabs it and puts it on the ground where the two stones were.

From that moment on, he quickly grabs all the herbs inside his bag and crushes them together on the two stones to make a potion.

"Please don't die on me! I will not allow my family to become our ancestors. I will not allow any of my family to kill an innocent one!"

Frustrated, angry, and worried, the boy constantly crushed all the herbs until the liquid was enough to fill the leaf.

"We're maybe direct descendants of Cain, but we're also descendants of Noah. My family is nothing like Cain! We're from the direct bloodline of Seth! My family will not become a sinner!"

"So please God, don't let this innocent one die in front of me!"

Then, as the liquid he crushed from the herbs filled the leaf, he hurriedly tried to let Lucy's unconscious body drink it, but... As the other half went into Lucy's mouth, it immediately spilled off due to Lucy's tongue blocking the way through her throat.

Thus, the kid gently pulled Lucy's tongue and let the liquid herb flow down through her throat.

After all the potion has been consumed by Lucy, the boy prays to his heart's content.

"Please God! Please have mercy on this poor innocent girl!"

Meanwhile, above them, Satan and Lilith, who are standing in the sky, are watching the events quietly and carefully.

"Hey Satan, why did you stop me from saving Milady?"

"Because if I didn't, you'd kill those innocent young kids on the spot, and that would not put a smile on Lucifer's face."

"Why would Lucifer care about these insignificant creatures?"

Satan gazes at Lilith, stern and fierce yet calm and collected.

"Lilith... In case you may have forgotten, they still are the creation of a Supreme Lord. Our Father carves the name of one of his Kin, [Soul], to all his little sister's creation. They are not something you should meddle with and interfere with. Do better, you're not those 3rd rate 'Watcher' angels."

Then Satan shifted his attention back to Lucy and Boy and smiled as he found the situation interesting.

"Unless you want to get punished by your creator, Lady Darkness, I don't mind letting you go forth and kill those kids."

"Hmph!" annoyed by Satan's comment, Lilith brushes it off and turns away from him.

"I am going back to the mansion. Make sure you bring Milady back soon, understand? If you don't, I'll make sure to report it to Lucifer that you let Milady adventure in Cain's territory."

"Alright, understand! Geez, what a nosy young lady she is!"

Then Lilith flew off.

As she flew away, the sky that had been engulfed by pure darkness slowly receded as the light got through little by little.

At the same time, on the ground, Lucy, who had been unconscious for a moment, finally regained consciousness as her eyes opened slowly.

"What just happened?" Lucy said as she tried to comprehend the situation she just had.

At the same time, above, Satan smiled like a fanatic who filled the room with overwhelming excitement that he was unable to contain.

"The 2nd Advent of the Lord shall start today!"
