I was back in my room at the castle. I could smell the familiar smell of lavender and also Ivan's scent. I opened my eyes gently and squinted a little at the sunlight that streamed through the curtains. Resting his head on my bed was a gigantic furry friend of mine, Blue. With a relieved sigh I heaved myself up from the bed wincing a little when I did. My whole body felt sore and stiff.
Blue's head turned to meet mine at the movement. His eyes widening in surprise before it turned into an excited look and he rushed over to meet me.
"Hey Blue." I croaked out my voice a little scratchy.
Blue let out a yelp at the door, calling for the guards posted outside who immediately rushed inside, fully armed. They paused when they saw I was sitting on the bed. I gave them a small smile before I waved at them.
"Y..your highness!" One of the guard staring at me in shock.
