Ivan never left my side throughout my entire stay here. Because we were away from the kingdom he had no official duties to attend to which means I get to have him all to myself which was a good thing considering the ordeal I've been through. I was always afraid to close my eyes, scared to sleep alone because the moment I do so, I was taken back to that time.
Ivan has assured me that they were dead and I knew that already. But each time I closed my eyes, I was taken back to that time, the time when I was still being tortured repeatedly for three days. The wounds were gone and the scars were starting to slowly fade but I could still feel it sometimes. The feeling of my wounds trying to close themselves and heal but can't do it because of the weapons stuck in them.
