Fateh e Azam Salahuddin Ayubi. The book under review is a historical novel written by zain abbas about the life of Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi, in which the childhood, struggles, and victories of this great Mujahid are beautifully shown like a story manner in the Urdu language.

The Crusades began at the end of the eleventh century (1091) and continued until the end of the thirteenth century (1091 to 1291). For more than two decades, all the Christian rulers of Germany, France, Britain, and Europe took part in these battles. These crusaders were fought by Mujahideen like Emaduddin Zangi ruler of Mosul Sultan Nooruddin Zangi, and Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi. After the Ayubi dynasty, the Mamluks (Turks) continued to fight the Crusaders. In all, there were seven major crusades.

Salahuddin belonged to the Kurdish nation. He was born on September 19, 1138, in Tikrit. He was named Yousuf. Salahuddin received training under Sultan Nooruddin Zangi. When Salahuddin drove the Crusaders out of Egypt in 1160 (555 AH), Caliph Al-Adid-ud-Din Allah gave Yusuf the name of Malik Al-Nasir Salahuddin Ayubi. Salahuddin Ayubi was 22 years old at the time.
