The continued rumbling of the escaping worm sounded out. The panicked tweets and chirps of startled birds of the monster and non-monster varieties. After a long time of waiting, the fluttering of feathers and wings of birds coming back to their nests broke through the silence. The other thing cutting through the noiseless atmosphere was Kali's persisted whimpering. She continued to clutch her arm's stump as with every natural twitch of muscle in that area seemed to send another wave of pain through her.
At the moment, Eodum had done everything it could. It used its [Support Magic] to heal the damage that had been caused by the acid, so the stump had completely healed over now. The end result was the skin just sealing itself up as trying anything more would be too costly than the immediate results.
The bone now looked like the tip of a spear, ready to impale anything its owner deemed fit. The skin was warped and distorted, forever ruined and scarred. Luckily, the muscle and veins were hidden from sight as the skin stretched and grew to cover the wound. The acid most likely helped keep Kali from bleeding out; if the acid hadn't warped the flesh to the extent it did, major veins would be ready to spill blood all over the ground below.
Now, Eodum had a predicament: now what? The immediate danger of the worm was gone, but the looming threat of the forest continued being present. Eventually, after what must've been an hour of simple suffering, Kali seemed to have passed out from the constantly assaulting stimuli.
Eodum carefully shifted its body around the obstacles in the way, so it wouldn't accidentally wake or disturb Kali. Then, Eodum proceeded to do something from its youth. Something it hadn't done in recent times. It dug. It burrowed. It made a burrow. It went to the forest floor, and it had flung dirt up and above itself. The material landed with a thud as it hit the ground.
Eventually, Eodum had created a pleasant place to call home. That was until it realized the large den was too small for Kali to fit. Eodum got back to digging, and it managed to acquire a room large enough for a human. Kali, however, was no human. Dellich were about the same size as humans, and Minotaurs were significantly larger than both. For Kali to fit in here, she'd need to duck down. Even then, her horns would scrape up the top.
Eodum dragged her unconscious body into the room, and it laid her in a corner of the room. Peace had come over the situation, and now Eodum was only left with itself and its thoughts. For the moment, there was no immediate danger, and Eodum could get back to what it was doing before it had found Kali.

Eodum was left speechless. 97 Hp!? Eodum was extremely thankful that the worm had turned tail, otherwise, things might not have ended so well. Eodum immediately started spamming [Heal], but it was forced to come to a stop as a feeling of dizziness washed over it. In its many uses of [Support Magic], it had run its Mp into the ground. Of course, this had another effect.
[Skill: Support Magic II has leveled up!]
Then with that, [Support Magic II] was maxed! What evolutions are there? All the same options from before were shown, they just had the Roman numeral for two at the end. There was one option however which differed quite a bit.
[Support Magic Proficiency]
[Understand and become proficient with the idea, concept, and rules of support magic. Understand and know how to create patterns with meanings to create support magic.]
There was no [Support Magic III], so this seemed to be the next step in the [Support Magic] tree. With hesitance, Eodum evolved the skill.
[Support Magic II has evolved into Support Magic Proficiency.]
Immediately, a flood of knowledge, concepts, ideas, and rules bloomed inside of Eodum's head along with a splitting headache. The pain felt like Eodum's brain suddenly started being stretched and ripped from a bubble forming in the rat's brain. Then, disappointment. Along with the understanding of [Support Magic], knowledge of how to use the mystical force also came along. First though, to ease the pain, Eodum pushed the extra twenty-five Ap into intelligence.
The pain subsided and a mechanical voice rang out.
[You have achieved 100 points in the stat: Int. You will receive a skill in accordance with this achievement!]
[You have gained Arcane Perception.]
[Arcane Perception]
[The user is able to perceive all mystical forces along with a vague understanding of the force.]
[Skills: Magical Perception and Arcane Perception have merged.]
[Arcane Perception level boost to 6.]
… Neat! Eodum's world bloomed with colors imperceptible and unknowable to those without a skill to see and understand them. Colors that didn't exist existed. Concepts that don't make sense make sense. There was hot cold, painful healing, vice virtue, and all of it was laid out before Eodum. Oxymorons of the very world Eodum lived in flooded its brain. Only one thought floated into existence. Neat.
How very neat!
