Chapter 19 - Discussion about the wedding

Harvey looked at his Mother who was glaring at him as she patted Moon, he raised his brows at her and frowned at her face before she smirked

He knew. He knew he was dead.

"What is it, my beloved?' asked Eleanor, rubbing Moon's back. Beloved? Harvey scratched his brows before he cringed. Those sugary words his Mother used were mostly for his father. He couldn't believe she was going to start using the words for his bride.

"I…it's no…nothing," stuttered Moon.

"Tell me, my love," said Eleanor as she pulled from the hug. She held Moon's cheek before she wiped the tears from her face.

"I…I just miss my Mama and Papa," uttered Moon. "I haven't stayed away from them before," Moon said with a broken heart.

She had tried not to think much about her parents but she just couldn't.

"I'm so sorry, Moon. I'm so sorry we had to put you through all this,' said Eleanor.

"It's not your fault," said Moon.

"We can send a message to your parent to come to stay till after the wedding," muttered Eleanor which made Moon smile so bright.

"Thank you," Moon said.

"Ok, come eat," said Eleanor before she motioned to the maid to bring the meal closer. The food was placed on the table.

Moon ate and slept on Harvey's bed. Harvey followed his Mother out and she dragged his right ear, making him scream. Eleanor dragged him into her chamber.

"What is he doing here?" asked King Hardin with knitted brows.

"I'm here to sleep with my Mother," said Harvey, teasingly. Hardin stood up in anger before he walked to Harvey and started to drag him out of his and Eleanor, his lovely wife's room.

"I brought him here as I have something to discuss with you both," said the Queen.

"Before you say anything, come eat," muttered Hardin as he led Eleanor to the table where the night meal was placed.

Earlier when Eleanor had left for Harvey's room to check up on Moon after the maid told her she was down when she came to get their meal, Hardin had waited behind for her as he decided not to follow her. He knew he wouldn't be of use if he did. There certainly was no way he would be able to comfort anyone except his wife and the method he uses, was to be used on HIS WIFE only.

When he saw she hadn't returned after a long duration, he decided to wait for her in their chamber. So he requested for the maids to take the meal to their room even though it had turned cold.

Eleanor loves cold meals.

"Now listen carefully to what I am about to say," uttered Eleanor when she was done eating with Hardin. "Moon prefers a quiet wedding and I plan to organize that for her,' Eleanor mumbled.

The Father and Son duo looked at each other before turning their gazes back at the Queen.

"You know a small wedding would be difficult, Eleanor,' said the King. "She is the crown princess and will be a Queen soon. The wedding of the future Queen and King is meant to be grand. Every high ranker would come for the wedding, there isn't any way the wedding would be a small one."

The wedding of the future rulers was something that would make the world shake. But Moon didn't way it, it would be a problem trying to make a small wedding as it was important to invite other Kingdom Royalties.

They couldn't even invite this Kingdom and not invite that Kingdom. It'd cause a conundrum.

"I want the wedding the way she prefers it," stated Eleanor as she chewed on her fingers. This was what she normally did when she was lost for ideas. She wanted to at least fulfill Moon's wish as they were the ones making her go through all this.

"I will explain to her that it'd be impossible… We can have a church wedding inviting just her family, friends and we the royals and few friends. Then the after party where I'd bring her in as my wife," said Harvey.

"We wouldn't invite the guests to the church wedding. We would all meet at the castle grand hall," mumbled Asher as he got into the room without knocking.

"You are growing disrespectful by entering my room knocking," said the King, hardening his face.

"Pardon my manners, Father. But how would there be a family meeting without me involved," said Asher as he took his seat beside his Mama?

"It wasn't something much," said Eleanor as she took his hands in hers.

"It is… Harvey's wedding is something big,' said Asher as he smiled. "I heard about Moon not wanting a grand wedding," mumbled Asher.

"How did you hear that?" questioned Eleanor suspiciously.

"I just did," said Asher as he shrugged his shoulders. The King and Queen looked at each other before turning their gaze back to Asher.

Their actions didn't miss Harvey's sight. The way they looked at one another showed the way suspicious and probably… Scared?

"Let's continue the discussion," said the King and they did before concluding.

"We all are going to talk again by morning but this time, our future daughter-in-law would join as it involves her," muttered Hardin before he took his hand and lead her to the bed.

"You both can leave," said the King before he joined his wife on the bed.

The Princes walked out of their parent room before sighing. "Goodnight," said Asher before he turned to walk away but was stopped by Harvey.

"Asher," called Harvey

"Yes?"

"Why didn't you go to class?' asked Harvey. When he had gotten home from the council, he had seen Asher but he couldn't go up to him as he was heading to see their father.

"I didn't want to," uttered Asher as he looked at the floor.

"And why was that? You are someone who doesn't miss classes," said Harvey. He knew his brother like the back of his palm… maybe he didn't?

Asher would never miss any of his lessons and he was aware of that, so he said he didn't feel like attending class was suspicious.
