The smell of alcohol lingering in front of my nose made me wake up from my deep slumber. When I opened my eyes, everything came crashing down at me like a plane without engine. Rebekah was missing. I curled back on the bed, wishing that I was back in my deep slumber.
I rocked myself back and forth as I sobbed uncontrollably, not even soothing words helped me calm down and when Max touched me, I just snapped. Before I could react, a slap sound filled the room. "Get out!" I shrieked out at him before curling back in a fetal position as I cried out.
"Alexa..." I sat up and pushed him away from me. "I'm sorry." I stood up and continued to push him out of the room. "You promised me Max, you promised me that you'll keep her safe, you lied." I gritted out angrily as I pushed at his chest, realizing it wasn't working I fisted his chest instead. "I hate you!" I sobbed while I pounded at his chest repeatedly.
