The waiter arranged her out-of-place hair and neatly pinned the strands behind her ears. In no time, the waitress squeezed orange and handed it to Dawn.

The waitress took a tray of desserts to head out '' You're welcome miss beautiful. ''
Dawn's gaze stuck on the delicious desserts. The waitress chuckled lightly when she saw Dawn acting like a kid for a desert.
'' Have one. '' said the waitress.
Dawn gave it another thought and replied '' No, I should not. I am on a diet. ''
The waitress scanned the slim lady. The lady was already in good shape but is still on the diet. She nodded nonetheless '' Ok ''.
Eventually, Dawn stopped the waitress '' Maybe I will have this one, it is the tiniest. ''
The waitress laughed hard and headed out while the others in the kitchen gazed at her in distrust.

As quickly as Dawn was back in the hall, she took a seat in the dark corner of the hall. The seat opposite her was empty, it seem like her date was nowhere to be found. She heaved a sigh and occupied herself with the mints on the bowl.
It was an obsession of hers, she loved eating mints so much. Maybe because it boosts her confidence or she felt that its bitter taste is not as bitter as the one in her heart.
She heard the chair squeak and looked up to see the person she had been dying to note that talk to.
