The central Clock Tower was the city's most remarkable landmark. Link walked around, observing the tower for an opening. He discovered a small fountain pouring from a waterfall, and the pool would pour off into a tiny canal. Link noticed a tiny ladder that climbed up onto the rim of the fountain. He became a Minish and climbed up to it. The fountain was now the size of a lake, and he even noticed a doorway at the bottom of the pool. Link tried to dive in… only to remember he wasn't wearing the Mask Enguarde; what's more, the current would merely carry and push Link off the fountain.
Link climbed back up, and he decided to shoot an Ice Arrow at the waterfall's origin. It froze, stopping the current as the water would steadily pour out. Link jumped into the bottom of the pool and went to open the door. He followed a passage that brought him to a moss wall, which he was able to climb to a larger ground. From there, he resized. He used the slate's flashlight to search around the area; he was in a sewer, seeing the pool of water below. "Link, this sewer sparks familiarity within my databanks. I am positive that this is where you first awoke as a Minish."
"So, I'm back at the beginning, huh? Pretty amazing…"
The water was now unfrozen, so Link dove underneath. He noticed four rings with Sheikah Eyes underwater, so he swam through them, but nothing happened. He used the Lens of Truth and saw those rings were numbered, so he swum through in the proper order. The rings glowed and a secret passage opened on the floor. Link shared a glance with 'Ayri' and swam into the passage. They sank ever deeper before hitting the bottom, the tunnel curving sideways as Link swam. There were fans spinning to block his path, but the Ice Arrows could freeze them easily. Link swam between the blades and found a place to resurface. Link climbed onto ground… the texture of this chamber was light-brownish like the Divine Beasts.
There was a huge door with a design that resembled Araea. "Ugh…Impezzio." Araea seemed to blush. "He had to make the door in my likeness?"
"Hee hee, it sounds like there was more between you than just making a hybrid."
"What, you think Avis was just our science experiment?"
"Well, no, but it's hard to imagine you as the romantic type."
"Let's just say Impezzio could be rather embarrassing. Still… this mechanism is interesting. It looks like that pedestal is meant for the sword."
Link noticed the pedestal before the gate, morphing colors similar to the Sword of Four Seasons. Link stepped up, positioned the blade, and stabbed. There was rumbling as the great gate slowly opened. (Play "The Champions' Ballad" from Breath of the Wild!)
Stage 14: The Sheikah's Secret
Mission: Find the Santa Hylia.
Link followed a stairwell downward and entered a wide chamber with rotating, gear-like mechanisms, situated over a river. There were small gushes of water along the surface, and when Link froze some of them, the other gushes would rise higher. This allowed him to jump those higher gushes and reach a gear platform with a pillar in the center. He had to jump smaller platforms, but gears that hung from the ceiling were lowering up and down and threatened to smash him. Link noticed blue, glowing spots on those gears' beams, so he shot Ice Arrows at those to freeze them completely. Link jumped them and reached a platform before a wall of gears, all spinning rapidly.
Link shot a Freeze Spot in the center of those gears, stopping them all. He could jump and grab one's rugged side, and he could climb his way around a path of rugged gears to reach an opening on the right wall. A narrow passage led him down further, ending at a large chamber with an abyss. Link would have to go Yiga and jump the Sheikah Spots on suspended gears. He jumped to a left one that rotated slowly, then faced one whose target would rotate by a spikeball. He could freeze that gear, jump to it, then safely jump to the next target without being spiked. From there, he was facing a gear with saws hovering around it. He could freeze the gear, then freeze the saws when they weren't over the target. He leapt to that target, then leapt to another as the passage curved left.
He was on a target on a slab that was ascending up on a track with other slabs. There were other such tracks, and they had saws above them, so Link quickly jumped the Sheikah Spots on the slabs before the saws would catch him. He was making his way to a ledge at the end, but Link noticed one of the tracks had no saws, and the slabs were going up into a ceiling opening. He decided to let himself be carried to that opening, and he found a hidden room with a Heart Piece! The room also led to another hole that dropped him off onto the ledge he was originally heading to.
From there, a ladder carried him down into a hole to the next floor. He was overlooking a chasm of spiked gears and wind blowing. Rito Link glided down there safely, evading the spikes as the wind blew him into a passage. Fans tried to block him once more, so he froze them so he could glide through them safely. Another draft blew down diagonally, and Link quickly had to freeze fans on the way. He made it through and landed on the floor below. He entered a wide chamber with a large pit. There was a ball repeatedly dropping from the ceiling near the opposite side of the pit. "Link, my Ice Arrow is capable of freezing objects in midair. If you strike frozen objects, their kinetic energy will be stored for when they are unfrozen." Link tried this and froze that falling ball. He then shot a normal arrow to store its kinetic energy, then unfroze with a Fire Arrow. The ball fell toward the opposite ledge and landed in a hole, triggering a floor to cover up the chasm.
To Link's shock, five drones dropped from the ceiling, growing three tentacle-legs and Beamos-like heads. These small Guardian Scouts shot weak lasers at Link, but they would perish with one hit from his powerful sword. Afterwards, there was another chasm and five balls suspended above it: the left and right ones were swinging against the central ones, sending the kinetic energy through to one-another. Link saw the large switch on the right wall, so he froze the right ball while it was down. When the left sent the energy through, it doubled for the right ball when it unfroze, sending it against the switch to make another floor.
Five more Scouts came down, except they wielded spears and shields, so they were Mark II's. Link flipped to dodge their swipe attacks, but when they dealt stabs, he used a Shield Bash to stun them, and two strong slashes were enough to finish each one off. It was tricky to only focus on one while the others were attacking, but he was successful. He crossed to a stairway leading down further, arriving at an uncomfortably large, empty chamber with a big hole in the center. Stepping forward, the entrance sealed: a Lynel came riding up on an elevator from the center.
"This guy again!"
"Link, now that you have our sword, want to try out a special technique called the Cycle of Seasons?"
"That sounds like the coolest thing ever?"
"Just channel chi into the sword and use a spin attack. It'll exhaust a lot of stamina, but it'll help the sword unleash its full power. I'll even help you!"
Link nodded and stretched his sword. As he channeled energy, the sword burned with a colorful aura. Araea took hold of the sword alongside Link. Both let out a powerful cry, "YAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" spinning into a vortex of leaves, fire, wind, and ice. They whirled around the Lynel's legs, severely damaging him as he sank to his knees. Link had enough strength to leap onto his back and land more stabs against him, but was ultimately bucked off. The Lynel galloped away and shot Thunder Arrows, Link dodging. He used the Melon Helmet to roll around quickly, evading the Lynel's claymore attack, and he was able to catch up and climb onto him. He landed more stabs until the beast was down for good.
He ate some food to replenish his chi, then proceeded through the newly opened door, stairs leading him ever deeper. Link arrived at a barred gate blocking a narrow pit, with a wall on the other side. A tiny ball was repeatedly falling into the pit, and Link noticed the hole in that wall. He had to become a Minish, freeze the ball, then shoot it to fall toward the hole. It hit a switch on the other side, opening a door to Link's left. The next room had a pit separating him from another ball puzzle: there was a small ball before a medium ball before a large ball before a switch. Link froze all three balls: he stored the kinetic energy of the small, which would roll against the medium to store more energy, then into the large, with enough force to smash the switch.
A passage opened to lead Link deeper underground. "Link, I think I know where we're headed, though I've never been here myself. Either way, I sense that we're very deep below the seafloor."
They arrived at a floor that was completely covered in spikes, except for Link's ledge. There were twin, pointed statues that Link could link via the boomerang. He leapt on the rope, and Ayri had to control those statues individually to carry Link across the spike floor. Of course, Link himself had to manually command her to switch them, plus he had to shield himself from Guardian Scouts' shots. He took a few hits, but nothing too painful. There were swinging spikes that threatened to knock him off, so he froze them. He could step off on a safe platform at the end and go down the next stairway.
Link was brought to a vast, long corridor with an ominous chasm, and a Spinner track going across. To either side were lines of giant statues resembling Sheikah Monks, and artificial glowing blue windows to highlight them. Link admired their majesty as he zoomed across the track. The passage stretched further and further, and he could see light at the end of the tunnel. His adventurous eyes would widen before what was to come. (Play "Mor Ardain" from Xenoblade 2!)
It was a city! An entire city made of Sheikah Tech! The buildings were a posh black with orange tops and lines, and the balconies had dark-yellowish floors. Link had never seen anything like it! True, Araea's temple was rather high-tech, but this was an entire city! And it was populated with Sheikah at every corner! As the young hero readied to explore this great place, he had only one thing to shout:
"THE WORLD IS AWESOOOOOOME!"
Act 2: Kakariko City
Link mounted the Spinner and rode a track going around a building—it ended, so Link jumped it to another track. It ended, so Link jumped to a left track, which set him at the edge of a town park. The Sheikah were looking to Link curiously, but he was already racing through and up the central stairs like an excited little tourist. Once atop the stairs, Link followed the road right, then cornered left. Large Guardian Turrets emerged from the ground and on platforms. "Watch out, Link! Those things have you listed as an intruder!" Araea yelled as they locked onto him. Link dodged their lasers as he ran to the first turret, slashing it like crazy. It took about 20 strikes before the turret was destroyed.
Link decided to ignore the other ones and rush to the end of this road. He had to Rito Glide off the edge and land on a far platform. There were some floating devices carrying people across town in a line; Yiga Link could leap to a target on the bottom of one of these carriers. He stayed quiet and patient during the journey, until a Guardian Turret poked out and spotted him. Link jumped to a target on a building, but a turret shot at him, so he leapt to another target, then another, and one more before landing on a ledge. Link reverted to normal and walked up stairs leading to an outdoor restaurant, where Sheikah conversed at tables.
Link gasped, recognizing the woman cooking behind the counter. He ran up and asked, "Excuse me! Miss Kokiel, is that you?"
"Huh?" The woman turned. "Oh…I recognize you. You were Koko's friend, weren't you?"
"Yeah. So, this is where you went!"
"How in the world did you find this place?"
"Dr. Purah sent me here. We need the Santa Hylia to get to the moon."
"You even know about that? Wow… Well, you'll have to speak to the Grand Elder. She resides in the central temple."
"Where's that at?"
"It's that building over there." Kokiel pointed to Link's right, where he saw a building that almost resembled a Chinese palace made of Sheikah Tech, stairs leading to the entrance.
"Great! I'll head right over!" Link raced over, leaping off the restaurant's ledge to a lower path. A large drone with four propellers, called a Guardian Skywatcher, flew by the end of the path and spotted Link. Before it could shoot a laser, Link froze two of its propellers, causing it to sink. He leapt onto its back, then unfroze them so it could rise back up. Once it was at full height, its updraft blew Rito Link upward. He soared across the valley, using the drafts of other patrolling Skywatchers to keep elevated.
He landed on the ground before the temple stairs. Sadly, the security still registered him as an intruder, so the stairs became a slide. It was no big deal as Link saw the Spinner tracks on the sides, so he rode up the left one. A spike trap tried to block him, so he bounced off to the right track. He repeatedly bounced between tracks while also evading electric rods along the slope. He succeeded in reaching the top of the stairs, seeing two Sheikah guarding the entrance. As Link bravely approached them, the Sheikah drew kunai.
"HALT! You're an outsider, aren't you?! How did you find this place?! What business do you have here at the Sheikah Temple?"
Link posed proudly and stretched his left hand. "HEAR my name and TREMBLE. I am LINK, the Hero of Winds!"
Araea came out and asked, "What the heck was that supposed to be?"
"Haha, I always wanted to say that!"
"You're not setting the best impression for us!"
"Hold on… who is that?" asked one of the guards. "Doesn't that look like… the Winter Maiden?"
"These two come bearing no harm. Let them pass at once." Link searched around for the source of this woman's voice.
"G…Grand Elder? Hmm…as you wish." The guards stood down.
Link shared a curious glance with Araea. He stepped up to the gate and entered. The inside of the palace was made of wood and felt rather traditional. There was a short woman knelt on a pillow at a central altar, wearing a very wide hat with metal ornaments hanging around it. (End song.)
"Mmmm… Green clothes… Infi-Space Pouches stuffed with loads of items… A very curious companion… Yes… you are just as the legends describe. Just as the prophecies foretold." The woman raised her head, looking Link in the eye. "It's a pleasure to meet you… Link. My name… is Impa."
"You know my name?"
"I am very perspective in these things. Besides… my sister writes to me. She told me all you were doing."
"Your sister?"
"Purah."
"P-PURAH'S YOUR SISTER?! But she's, like… Wait, she's actually an old lady, right? It's just she was age-regressed…"
"Your name sounds like Impezzio, a man I used to know." Araea said.
"Yes, I know you too, Araea… You were a friend of my late relative. He was going to become Grand Elder, before his passing. There were rumors saying that you were his undoing. But that's not true, is it?"
Araea explained to her the true story, tying back to what was currently happening. "Yes… it all makes sense."
"And now we need the Santa Hylia to go to the moon." Link stated. "Purah told us what it was. What it was for." He recapped what he had been told.
"You are well-informed. But, there is still more. You are aware that the gods flooded Hyrule as a means to drown Ganon, and that Hyrule's people took refuge on the mountains. But the flood was not their only plan. What really happened… was that the Gods of Sea and Space teamed up. The Space God enveloped that kingdom of Hyrule into a bubble, which he then banished to a small dimension. Then, the Ocean King flooded the entire kingdom. The sea was designed to hinder Ganon's power, as the demons of the Underworld are sickened by the pure ocean. Of course, the sea alone cannot detain the Demon King, but with his power weakened, Ganon was unable to breach the dimensional barrier that trapped Hyrule. Ganon would be trapped in that world, and the planet where Hyrule was based would live in peace, away from him."
"So, Hyrule… as in, my world is locked in a sub-dimension? …But why couldn't they just lock Ganon away by himself? Why the rest of Hyrule?"
"At that time, that world, 'Earth,' was undergoing an unprecedented crisis, and the Hyruleans were being persecuted. We believe it was that very rage that fueled Ganon and instigated his return. Hyrule was locked away, and subsequently flooded, to protect them from both threats. And also, the gods believed that, one day, the Hero of Time would return to put Ganon in his place. Seeing you standing before me, I know that prophecy has come to pass. Hyrule has long honored the Hero. It was his fate to be reborn in their kingdom. It was what bound Ganon to Hyrule: to face the Hero loved by both mortals and gods."
"D'aaaawwwwww…" Link's face creased in the most bashful fashion, looking absolutely embarrassing. Araea rolled her eyes.
"But in secluding Hyrule, the portal connecting it with Termina disappeared as well. …That is, until a few years ago. We picked up a rift in space-time, right underneath Clockwork, and we Sheikah have harnessed the energy from that portal. We needed it for the final components in our vessel. Now, at long last, it is complete. If you would follow me…"
Impa stood and walked behind her altar. "Those hat ornaments must be hella heavy." Link commented as he followed her. They stepped into a small chamber: it was an elevator as Link could feel it descending. When it stopped at the bottom, Impa stepped off first. The hallway was rather long and empty, likely because it had to cover the length of the town. "Seriously, how long did it take you all to build this place so far under the ocean?"
"About 2,000 years. We Sheikah are quite handy and professional craftsmen."
"No kidding."
Eventually, they reached the end of the passage. …Link's and Araea's mouths fell agape. The cavern they were inside was unbelievably tremendous… and just the right size to fit the ship. The Santa Hylia supremely outsized the Forsaken Fortress; it rivaled the size of Hyrule Castle, built with the finest Sheikah Tech. Its sails appeared so sturdy, not even the sharpest cyclone could pierce it. "Whoa…that's…"
"Incredible, isn't it?" Impa deduced. "With the energy harnessed from the portal… this ship is capable of breaking the gods' spell. It will free Hyrule from the dimension in which it's trapped. And from there… we will ferry the Hyruleans to a brand new land."
". . . ." A big smile grew on Link's face, as if unable to restrain his excitement.
"For a noble hero, you're awfully power-hungry, Master." Araea remarked. "First you strut around the Maidens' sacred sword, now you want to show Termina that you command the strongest ship ever known."
"That's not the only reason." Link grinned, blushing. "I was just thinking… imagine the look on freakin' Tetra's face WHEN I COME CRASHING THIS BABY OVER THEIR LITTLE BOAT!!"
"The old legends did not talk of the Hero… being so expressive." Impa said.
"But more than that… this ship is the answer. It's the answer we've been searching for! The way to New Hyrule! And now that I've found it, I…I…!"
Araea and Impa stared at him. They could only imagine what wicked thought was crossing his mind now.
"I get to see Aryll again."
The two raised a brow. Link's tone changed to a soft one, brimming with emotion. Araea remembered this name… The name 'Ayri' was based from Link's sister. Link had always thought of 'Ayri' as his sister. He even sang a song about her. She could tell that Link missed his sister very much.
"Yeah… as soon as I bring this ship to Tetra… Aryll is gonna be the next one to see it." Link spoke thoughtfully. "And we're gonna… find New Hyrule together. I'll take her to see it. I wonder how she's been… I wonder if she misses me… I wonder… how she'll feel to see me…"
Araea could only smile at his reminiscing. …She changed her digital form to its original form, when she and Link first met. "Of course I miss you, Big Brother!" Link looked at her in surprise. "So, please hurry back soon! I wanna see you again and hear about all your adventures!"
With that look in his eye, Link was about to let out a tear. He smiled, as if remembering all the wonderful memories with his sister. In a moment, he would embrace Ayri in a hug. …He formed a weirded expression and said, "It was cute before, but now it feels weird."
"!!" She became Araea, her face fuming, and dealt a firm SLAP to Link's face!
"Ho ho…this will be a fine chapter to add to the records." Impa said. "Moving on… you wish to fly to the moon, yes? It will be an excellent test for Hylia's maiden voyage. When you are ready, merely say the word and I will order the liftoff."
"Hmmm…I'm not too sure, yet." Link replied. "I feel like… there's more I need to do. I feel like there's other people I need to help. I feel like… I need the masks."
"I see… You know, history is rather vague with how the Hero of Termina first defeated Majora. Some speculate that he used the power of the masks. Masks are imbued with the happiness of the people, so perhaps that happiness is Majora's weakness. In any case, if you feel you are unprepared, then please tend to what you need to. There is a Sheikah Warp on the ship. With it, you can return to the surface and come back whenever you please. It is wise to have all the necessary resources before facing such a powerful foe."
"Yeah. I'll definitely make use of that, thanks." Link smiled confidently.
"Oh, Heeeeeroooo? HEEEEEEROOOOOOO?" Majora's dark voice reverberated in the air. It then changed to the crazy one, "YEHEHEHEHEHEHE! Where are you?! Don't tell me you're hiding in a little hole?! I would come out if I were you… Your little friends are in trooouuuubllllle!"
"The Bombers?!" Link gasped.
"I don't know who these puny brats are or why they're commanding giant animals, but they're helpless before me! My minions will stomp them flat! Better come and stop theeeeeeem!"
"Is Majora threatening your allies?" Impa asked. "You should return to the surface immediately."
"…" Link clenched his fist and glared up at the ceiling. "I…I believe in them."
"Believe?" Araea asked.
"I'll return to the surface either way, but… I believe they can do it. I'm not the only hero in the world. The Bombers are my team. They…They are this world's KIDS NEXT DOOR!!"
Vah Dekodan
"Odolwa~… Odolwa~" The jungle warrior leapt onto the turned-up eyes of Dekodan. One of his Deku minions lodged itself into the Spinner slot and spun around, opening the eyes. Singing in celebration, Odolwa leapt in, followed by his servants. Upon landing in the core of the frog beast, Evan and Meen looked to them with a gasp. "ODOLWA!" He aimed his sword at Evan threateningly, his eyes flaring red.
"Evan, I'll protect you!" Meen yelled.
"No worries!" Evan fist-palmed. "It has enough charge to last. We'll fight him together!"
"Tòokik taali! Tòokik taali!" Giant scarabs charged at the duo under Odolwa's command. Meen blew a whistle, summoning hundreds of Pikmin from the parked Onions. The Pikmin intercepted the scarabs, and despite their tiny sizes, the Pikmin brought the bugs to their bent knees. Evan ran to throw punches at the Deku, breaking their noses. Two Deku shot nuts at him, but he grabbed the nuts and threw them back. Odolwa slashed his giant blade, but Evan ducked by a hair's length. He backed away from the crouched warrior's swings, then bravely dashed forward and between his legs.
Odolwa hung his head upside-down, but this allowed Meen to throw Purple Pikmin up to the hanging ribbon of his mask. Their great strength weighed the monster down, his head hitting the floor, then Meen used Brown Pikmin to keep it glued there. Odolwa confusedly tried to push himself free, but seeing his situation, Evan smirked and dashed toward him. Odolwa was too late to notice as Evan threw a passionate kick against his mask. Odolwa was forced off the floor, body flinging back upright, and he stumbled backward as he felt his broken nose area.
Furious, Odolwa slashed at Evan, who ducked and ran. He noticed Meen and tried to stab the tiny Minish, but she was a swift dodger. Every time the titanic sword stabbed, Pikmin were climbing it, so he set the blade on fire to kill them. "A'alik beora! A'alik beora!" Odolwa began jiggling his pelvis as moths flew out of his bellybutton. Some swarmed Evan, biting every inch of him, while others flew to attack the Pikmin. Meen called over the Music Pikmin and threw them onto the moths. The Pikmin began to mimic Odolwa's singing, controlling the moths into flying around their master's body and biting him.
Odolwa frantically tried to shake and swat them off, giving Evan the chance to run up, stomp his left foot, and punch his left knee. He dodged before Odolwa could slash him, but would find his path blocked as Odolwa surrounded them all in a ring of fire. The moths died from the heat. Odolwa performed a spin attack, Evan running from the deadly blade. It was merely a second from catching up and cutting him, until Odolwa tripped on Ice Pikmin. He fell to his knees, then Evan leapt to grab his neck and choke him. Odolwa tried to grab him off, but Evan swung swiftly in evasion.
Meanwhile, White and Red Pikmin were climbing the giant's lanky legs. They were getting in his briefs, around his chest, and on his mask, hanging tight despite his frantic swinging. Evan let go and fell back, dodging when Odolwa stabbed. All at once, the White Pikmin puffed gas, the Red ones fire, and Odolwa spontaneously combusted. "OH-DWAAAAAaaaaahhhhh…" His body collapsed, choking in poison and ash. The kids watched as he slowly dissolved in the flames, with his own conjured flames disappearing.
"Hah…that was a tricky one." Evan said.
"Evan!" Meen skittered up, shouting up at him with a loving expression. "Have I repaid my debt to you?"
"Heh…I guess you have. I guess this means I gotta kiss you."
Meen's heart gave a big pump. "K-K-K-Kiss? I mean… you don't have to, but…"
Evan lowered a finger down to her. Meen climbed on. Evan brought him up to his face and puckered his lips.
"Awwwwww…" The Pikmin cooed in chorus.

Nighlo and Purah were alarmed as several black-winged figures emerged from the clouds, caws flooding the air as the Murdo landed on the back of the manta. "Listen here, you young whippersnappers." The Mur Don demanded. "If you don't wanna be buried six feet under clouds, you'd best name your favorite pastime that doesn't involve piloting robot beasts."
"You wanna know my favorite pastime, boyo?" asked Purah with a twinkle of her glasses. With hands in her pockets, she declared, "It's called, SPANKIN' THE BIRDY!" She whipped out an extendable arm with an open palm made of Sheikah Tech. She shot and bashed the crows' beaks, but Mur Don stormed forward, enduring the spanks as he grabbed the weapon in his talons.
"Then I'm afraid you will never get to SPANKIN again."
Alas, the Don's threat was meaningless as Nighlo grabbed his neck in his talons, pulling him away from Purah. The scientist took her weapon back, and when Nighlo forced Don around, she shot the Spanker at his feathered rump. The other Murdo couldn't help but "CAW!" in laughter, but this prompted Mur Don to shoot them. However, Nighlo swiftly swiped the gun and flew to throw it into the clouds. The henchmen swarmed the owl, but Nighlo spun to shake them off, flying skyward. He curled up and performed a cannonball dive to plow through the Murdo, some falling over, and he dealt Wing Whacks to knock others off the beast.
Mur Don flew, evading Purah's Spanker in the air. She stretched it extra long, but he dodged and stomped down, pinning her neck to the floor under his talon. However, Purah retracted the Spanker and SPANKED the back of Mur Don's head. He growled and scraped her against the floor, but Nighlo tackled him off. The owl scratched his talons against Don's face, and Mur Don clawed him in turn. "You don't care about living in the Light World, do you?! You just want people to terrorize!"
"Your kind oppresses us, so we oppress them!" Mur Don retorted. "That's how the world works, buddy. It's all about payback!"
"I can't STAND that!" Nighlo flipped up and landed a double STAMP to the boss's beak. "Making up that dumb excuse, you have no respect for our world! Do you know how hard I try to stay awake during the day?! When all my friends are up having fun?! The night owl life is lonely, you know!" Mur Don grabbed him in his wings, wrestling Nighlo to the ground, but Nighlo bent his talon up to choke the Don. "I barely get any sleep because I love both worlds, Day and Night! But I won't accept some fatso that insults our light for the sake of false justice!"
"Whoa." Purah looked in awe. "When he's not yawning, he's awfully serious. Better make this one count~" She held the trigger of her Spanker, charging its strength.
Nighlo forced them into a roll and swiftly flew off. Mur Don glared up—he whipped around, too late to react as the Spanker hit him dead in the pelvis. A big glob of spit flew out of his beak as Mur Don flung off the beast. "BEAK DRILL!" Nighlo dove at him with deadly speed, spinning beak-first as he impacted with the Don's stomach. Nighlo forced him through the cloud water, Mur Don drowning in white. They pierced from below the clouds, and Nighlo concluded his attack with an outburst of chi.
This outburst would slice off Mur Don's feathers. The obese crow fell naked toward the ocean, twirling like a raw turkey. Nighlo gasped for breath and returned to Vah Keetoo. "Huff…I need a quick nap…" He pulled off the All-Night Mask and collapsed. Purah shook her head with disbelief, but smiled.
Vah Mikos
The Garo Master and his fellow ninjas skipped the water to the open mouth of the whale beast. "Madim, stay back!" Sipha yelled, spear ready.
"Yam! Troglodyte, too!" Madim yelled determinedly. ("No! I'll fight, too!") She sank in a shadow and swam up to pull Garo underneath, taking the undead ninjas' swords to cut them. The Garo would dissolve from the fatal damage. The Master lunged at Sipha, but when she jabbed her spear, he suddenly flipped into the air and came down. Sipha barely dodged the swing of his dual, flaming blades.
Madim grabbed the Master's ankles and tried to pull him down, but he resisted, yanking Madim up in turn. Sipha stabbed his head, then dodged behind to get his back, giving Madim time to escape. Garo Master spun along the ground toward Madim, but she jumped, landing on his shoulders. She blew Shadow Breath over his eyes, then jumped off before his attempt to cut her. Sipha slashed the Master with her spear, the Garo clashing the Zora as the fog disappeared. Master flipped and stomped Sipha's spear to the ground, throwing an 'X' slash at her, but Sipha abandoned her spear and jumped back.
Madim slid up behind and dealt rapid Shade Fists to his back. The Master flew to the air and smashed Madim to the ground. He held the flaming swords to her neck, threatening to cut. But as soon as he had jumped, Sipha moved to grab her spear, leaping to the air as well. She threw the spear at an angle: Madim sank into a shadow and molded her body just inches from being stabbed herself. She survived, while the spear perfectly punctured the Master's chest. "OW-WAH-WAH-WAH-wuh-wuh-wuh!"
Garo Master struggled to pull the spear out of him, laying weak. "Regrettable… Although, my rival, you were spectacular. I shall take my bow by opening my heart and revealing my wisdom. …The being that is known as 'Majora' has many faces, and yet, they are only a pair. Belief or disbelief rests with you. To die without leaving a corpse…" He blew a whistle.
A shark suddenly came up into the beast, crawling toward the Master to munch and chew his body into mush. Another Garo dropped in and killed the shark. He proceeded to carry the shark to a shop, where it would be skinned and carved into leather boots and satchels.
That is the law of us Garo.

A band of Yiga had infiltrated the shell of the tortoise beast. "BRIH HAH hah ha ha!" laughed Master Kohga as he cockily marched up to Gork and Avis. "Princess Avis… I couldn't begin to describe my disappointment! Betraying your master… Majora like this!"
"You know something? I kind of did like your son." Avis remarked. "He would've been a much cooler leader than you. …I actually feel bad about killing him."
"You… what?!"
"That's right. Kigo was planning to betray me and join Link. I killed him for his insolence. …And now I'm working for Link, too, so I basically killed him for no reason. That's seriously embarrassing."
"You…you killed…" Kohga was trembling, raising a twitching finger to the Frosolite.
"I wonder… if I was still Majora's 'vessel,' what would you have said if you knew that? Would you have betrayed me? Realized your son was more important than your loyalty? …Or would you have accepted my reasoning and continued to serve me? I honestly wonder, Kohga." Avis folded her arms.
"Y-You…you…!" Kohga spun around and declared loudly, "YOU DISGRACE THE MAJESTY THAT IS MAJORA! GET THEEEEEEMMM!"
The Yiga bellowed and charged at the duo. Gork bowled several over with his Goron Roll, and Avis froze them to the ground. Kohga used the Spinner Rune and ran over Avis, then he came back on the rebound, but Gork rammed and sent him off-course. Kohga jumped off and used Hookshot Rune to pull himself to the Goron, stabbing a kunai into Gork's soft belly. Avis shot an icicle into Kohga's belly, followed by a blizzard to banish him. She slid to Gork's side and froze his wound. Kohga yanked Avis over via the Hookshot, ready to stab his kunai as she came, but she threw a hand up and froze the hand and the kunai with it.
Avis fell on the floor, extending her icicle toenails to slash Kohga's leg. She got up on her feet and ran, but Kohga sent the Beetle Rune to grab Avis's ankle and lift her upside-down in the air. Gork Goron Rolled into Kohga, the leader blocking him with both hands. Avis created an Ice Beetle and flew it to bite Kohga's ankle, pulling it back up. His weakened stance allowed Gork to shove him into the wall. Gork rolled away afterward, and Kohga's beetle disappeared, Avis hitting the ground and getting up.
Kohga leapt around their right, dropping a Shadow Clone that leapt to stab Avis. She ducked and stabbed it, the clone poofing as the real Kohga leapt directly above. Gork rolled away, building momentum as he did a U-turn and came back. Avis had dodged, but Kohga focused on Gork first and quickly trapped him in the Stasis Rune. Avis ran, Kohga tried to grab her, but realized his feet were froze to the ground. Avis got behind Gork and pelted the time-frozen Goron with ice chunks. "Huuuurrr! You'll pay for what you did to my son! He should've been wearing that mask, not you! Filthy frostbitten traitor!"
"No decent parent would let their kid wear that mask." Avis skied around to shoot ice at Kohga, the leader throwing kunai from his forced station. Alas, the Stasis wore off on Gork, and the kinetic energy stored from Avis's attacks blasted him into Kohga faster than a cannonball. Kohga's back forcibly bent from the sudden force. His mask snapped apart, exposing his dimwitted, drippy-nosed face. His chubby upper body hung backwards, feet remaining froze.
Avis and Gork shared a look as they caught their breath. "You're a pretty reliable teammate-goro!"
"Sigh…thanks, I guess." Avis gave a soft smile. "…Do we just dump these guys outside or something?"
"There's no place else to put them."
"I'll just make an ice boat or something."
