Gray
Everything is gray around me.
The rain is pouring down and trickles the jacket I've worn today. I may or may not live another day.
I burrow my head between my chest and knees which I held together while sitting down the sidewalk.
Awaiting...
Waiting for something to happen.
W-where did I go wrong? I-I thought everything's going to be better? But what's this!?
I lift my head up and turn my eyes half-open. I see black lines stretch across the skies. It turns out, I'm beside a transformer post.
Oh I wish those lines get cut somehow and end me.
I hear several splashes nearby...
I turn my head over and see kids jumping around in joy.
How do these kids have their smiles in such sorrowful weather? Or am I just like this?
The rain gets heavier and heavier filling the streets with nothing but murky water. Now my butt and feet is wet while the kids gets excited as ever.
I dig the little space between my chest and knees once again.
I hear another splash nearby. And it's gradually coming closer. A kid might be heading this way.
I would hate it if they become judgemental around me and starts spouting harsh realities I have no time of, so when that brat comes close I'll scare him for life.
splash.
Splash.
SPLASH.
I lift my head and my arms ready for a monster stance.
However, I decided not to.
This is no brat.
What met before my eyes are checkered pants.
As I raise my head to see what's causing the shadow that was shed upon me.
A man.
