The woods the werewolves live in are filled with food and water for them. Julian grabbed a handful of her betas to go hunting with her, normally she wouldn't go with. But she did today because with the betas were a few omegas who needs to be trained.
They spotted a grizzly bear in the distance, he was attempting to catch fish. She looked over at her betas, they should charge and the omegas should watch and learn. The wolves transformed, they're stronger in that form, and they shifted into full wolf form. Not half human-half-wolf. They slowly snuck up the the bear and without warning jumped on him.
The bear roared as the wolves bit in him. Aiming for his neck, they managed to kill him. When they finished, they shifted into human-wolf form, and carried the bear together to the others.
Julian smiled, a bear this size is enough for them all to eat. They started making their way towards their home, when they all heard a low growl. They stopped, alerted. Scanning the woods for what it could be. They heard a couple of twigs break, heard steps nearing them. Julian stood in front of her pack, trying to protect them all from what's coming for them. Everything went dead silent. Too silent.
And just as they wanted to start moving along, a large beast came flying towards them with a powerful jump. It knocked Julian over with force. She looked at it, it was a large dog. Its bright yellow eyes stared her down like it was hungry for her, its skin covered in brown fur. What was this thing?
The betas instantly started attacking the creature, attacking it from all angles, causing it to jump off from Julian. She joined them, all it wanted to do was scratch or bite them. The wolves wanted to do the same. It was the beast that struck first, digging it's dagger sharp nails into the flesh of an omega. The young wolf howled out in agonising pain, and dropped to the floor as its wound was slowly closing. Healing itself.
A beta plucked a branch from the trees, and attacked the thing from behind. Plunging it into its chest. The beast roared before getting up and running away.
Everyone instantly attended to the omega, who still seemed pained. This was odd to everyone, it's not very werewolf like to be in pain for so long. They picked him up and carried him back home. When they reached their territory, Julian called for Gandra and Killian from a distance with their unique whistle. They rose to their feet and joined her.
"Yes, Julian?" asked Killian.
"We're paying, Catherine a visit."
The three shifted into their wolf form and ran off to, Catherine's territory. The second they stepped foot in her dwelling, her betas made it clear they were keeping an eye on her. Two of them even physically walking a distance off with them.
Catherine was painting a little girl's face with clay, when she felt eyes on her, and caught the familiar scent. Her pack got silent as well. She rose to her feet, in Catherine's pack, they're semi-dressed. She herself wore a skirt made from grey wolf fur and a bra to match.
She gleamed when she spotted her guests. She walked up to them. "Hello, what can I help you with?"
Julian looked around at her pack, she didn't want to alarm them. So she started walking off and Catherine and her two deltas followed. When they were truly out of hearing distance, Julian faced Catherine. She took a deep breath in and slowly out, "you were right, Catherine. It isn't a vampire,"
"What?" Killian asked out of turn, "how do you know for sure?"
Julian shook her head, "we saw it, the betas and I. It was covered in fur, but it looked like a dog beast. Couldn't have been the cat-like creatures of, The Count,"
"When?" Catherine's female delta asked.
"Today when we went hunting. It attacked one of my omegas. We need to figure out what this is, so we can figure out how to deal with it,"
Killian started pacing, "I think it's still, Count Dracula. A new beast he created maybe?"
Catherine bobbed her head, "I think so too. And why are they lurking in our woods? Are we his latest targets?"
"I'll bet," Julian spoke, "he wants to finish us. Before one of the three apocalypses hit us. That way we will be easier to attack,"
No one said a thing. They looked at each other, worry and fear beheld their eyes. What if Julian is right? They thought. For hundreds of years, witches have spoken about three apocalypses that will befall earth. Prophecies that started circling from all creatures alike. Even some gifted werewolves have dreamt of this, have seen visions, and everyone is preparing for that fateful day when it starts. Everyone but the humans.
"We need to know what the vampires are planning," Catherine said, "so that we can be one step ahead of them,"
Killian stopped pacing, "yeah... we need a spy,"
"Julian was thinking about doing it," Gandra shared.
Julian's eyes grew, "Gandra!"
Everyone looked at, Julian.
"What?" asked Gandra with a small shrug.
"I'm not entirely sure of it, I've never left these woods,"
Catherine looked at her childhood friend. She knows this is a good idea, but like Julian said, she's never been out. They don't know what lies out in the real world. Besides, where would she go? What would she do? Who would take care of her pack?
"What do you mean? Julian?" Killian asked, "what do you mean you're not entirely sure? If you know it could benefit us, why have doubts?"
Julian shrugged, "there's a lot to consider. Like, who's going to take care of you all? What if I die? Who's going to take my place?"
"Whatever happens, you can go and come back to us every week," Gandra said.
Everyone nodded.
"I'll even watch over them as well, heck, they can join my pack for the meantime. Gandra and Killian will keep watch over your pack, we'll go hunting together?"
"Yeah," Killian said, "we're grown. We can watch over ourselves, we'll put the kids to bed on time. And feed them, we'll tell them to bathe and switch of the television," Killian joked, which caused Julian to let out a small chuckle, "point is... we got this,"
"Okay... okay, " Julian said. "Let's sleep on it. All of us, we don't want to make decisions hastily."
Everyone agreed. Catherine bit the nail of her thumb, then she sighed before speaking. "Where would you be going?"
Julian frowned. The thought disgusted her, she flared her nostrils and breathed out slowly. "Alejandro Armando Biachi,"
Everyone gasped. Alejandro is known for being sneaky and unpredictable. Which makes him dangerous.
"He hates everything that isn't a vampire," shared Gandra in fear.
"I know, but I'm ready for him. I will always be alert when it comes to him. Don't worry, "
"you shouldn't let him find out what you are. He will kill you on sight." Catherine said.
Julian walked over to, Catherine and flung her arms around her tiny frame. She looked her friend in her eyes, "I'll be fine. Besides, we're not even sure if this will happen or not," she pulled away from the hug, "anyway. We have to get going. It's dinner time and I just wanted to let you know, we truly aren't dealing with a vampire."
"Be safe!" Urged Catherine. Julian nodded her head and they transformed into wolves and ran off.

When they arrived at their camp, the other deltas ran up to them. They expressed concern for the omega who got attacked, he was laying in his hammock, some sleep on mattresses and others on hammocks. They threw a blanket over him, he was shivering. But when she came to him, she placed the outside of her hand on his forehead, he was hot.
"I-I'm so-so cold," he told her weakly. He was drenched in sweat, his eyes sunked into his skull, he looked at her. "I'm going to die, I can feel it,"
Julian's eyes began to water, she shook her head. "No, stay strong. We will find a cure or something. You can't give up!"
She left the underground bunker and ran away to the ocean for some fresh air. Gandra and Killian followed her, but remained in the woods, giving her some space. She sat there, sobbing into her hands. These omegas are usually so young, so weak, so fragile. And that's why they seem to be the target, but they're not. Maybe they're all the target? These ones are just the weakest link. She can't bear the thought that innocent lives are being taken by whatever that is. She feels responsible, he wasn't born in her pack. He joined it, from all the packs in the woods, he was drawn to her. And she feels she has to proof to him he chose right. After all, she is his alpha. His protecter. His leader.
She wiped her tears. Tomorrow first thing she has to find a witch, someone that can help them.
