Sooyoung goes awry in a dilemma to make a decision. Her intention was to just stroll around this new place, but instead made an embarrassing mistake. Sooyoung took a deep breath, then opened the door while making a surrender gesture.
"I didn't mean to sneak a look, I swear!" She said, raising her hand.
If all the first impressions of Mingyu were true, Sooyoung hoped that the young man would let her go. She didn't want to cause any problems or misunderstandings on her first official day at SYG Entertainment.
"Okay, whatever. You still need to come in here."
Mingyu crossed his arms over his chest, continuing to watch Sooyoung with a judgment that could make anyone nervous, until the girl closed the door behind her.
To be honest, Sooyoung was uncomfortable. In the dance practice room which was large enough to accommodate about twenty people, it was just the two of them. Sooyoung was doing her best—also preparing to avoid another misunderstanding.
"Give me your phone," Mingyu said holding out his hand with a raised chin.
Sooyoung frowned in confusion. "What for?"
"Is it true that big sis Hyejin made you our new manager?" Mingyu mocking her, or at least that's what Sooyoung heard from his scornful tone.
"It would be best if you said what you wanted to do." Sooyoung smiled, resisting the urge to scream and retort the turbulent cursing.
Mingyu sighed. "Then take a note."
Half-heartedly, Sooyoung took out a notepad and pen.
"Every Monday and Saturday, I always do live streaming at two p.m," Mingyu explained, then leaned against the cupboard. "Since you are the manager and I don't see anyone else here, then you will be the one to help me."
It was new information, so Sooyoung wrote it down. "Okay, got it."
"Therefore, give me the phone that the company gave you," Mingyu repeated with a little sarcasm in his sentence.
"Ah, so that's why they gave me a secondhand phone," Sooyoung mumbled, feeling a little guilty for thinking all these things. Then she took out a phone that Hyejin gave her this morning. She hadn't checked the contents of the phone so she didn't know what to do with it.
"This way."
After receiving the company's phone, Mingyu showed Sooyoung about the live apps that artists usually use. He also gave the group username and password so that Sooyoung could remember the official group account. Although he keep grumbling, Mingyu still explained other details in the easiest way to understand.
"Thanks." Sooyoung nodded, taking back the company phone. "So I just need to mount it on a tripod and monitor you from my personal phone, right?"
"Glad to know you have a useful brain." Mingyu smirked.
It's so annoying when you're being mocked but can't counter for the sake of courtesy. Sooyoung also wanted to smack Mingyu in the head for looking down on her, but she remembered that the young man was older than her.
So Sooyoung had no choice but to start preparing live streaming needs for Mingyu.
After mounting the company phone on a tripod, pointing it at Mingyu who was warming up in the middle of the room, Sooyoung sat in a corner where the camera couldn't reach.
On the count of three, the live began.
"Hello, Honey! You've been waiting for me, haven't you?" Mingyu smiled brightly full of charismatic while waving to the camera.
Sooyoung's eyebrows rose and she froze for a few seconds. Where did his gloomy expression and the mocking smile go?
"Wow... His personality has changed drastically," thought Sooyoung.
"Is it okay if I look like this?" Mingyu asked towards the camera.
His hands were busy fixing his hairstyle, and Sooyoung swore that Mingyu kept glancing at her like he was asking for an opinion. In response, Sooyoung just nodded.
Mingyu took out his own phone to check the live.
"I'll read the comments first before turning on the music. Well, please give me a song suggestion!" Mingyu said, then raised two 'peace' fingers cutely, "Give lots of love taps, okay!"
After saying that, Mingyu glanced at Sooyoung again.
"He keeps commanding me through his eye signals!!" Sooyoung screamed in her heart, then tapped her phone so that the colorful love emojis gathered and added the nominal love in the corner of the screen.
Mingyu sat on the floor while answering questions from fans. Even Sooyoung grimaced because not only one or two silly questions appeared in the comments section, but Mingyu seemed to not pay attention and continued to talk in front of the camera casually.
After thirty minutes answering the question, Mingyu got up and put on some music. The hip-hop rhythm that pounded in the air pumped Mingyu so that he immediately moved all his body swiftly.
Sooyoung watched without blinking. Under the lights of the dance practice room, Mingyu shone more brightly. The sweat that falls when doing a circular motion is also charming. The predicate as the dancer leader of HEXAGON is apparently not just a label.
In the middle of the live broadcast, the door to the dance room opened. Alpha walked in very casually, he was wearing a black shirt without a pattern and knee-length pants.
"Mingyu, I've been looking for you for a long time," he said, stopping Mingyu from his activities, then turned to the camera, "Oh, you're doing live, right?"
"Say hello to all our Honey!" Mingyu said.
Alpha waved at the camera and smiled widely with charisma. "Heyyyyy!! Have you all eaten?"
Sooyoung glanced at the phone screen. Comments that come like a flood. "Wow, the comments immediately got crowded after the leader came."
After fifteen minutes had passed, Mingyu decided to end the broadcast with a duration of one hour and a half.
"See you on Saturday!"
"Bye, bye!!"
Sooyoung pressed the "end" button and that's how the dance leader's special live ended. Sooyoung sighed. At least, her annoyance had subsided after seeing Mingyu's performance.
"Hey, Sooyoung. Glad to know you're here too."
Alpha greets the new manager. Their eyes had met several times beforehand and he looked like he wanted to say hello but couldn't because he prioritized interacting with fans.
"Mingyu asked me for help." Sooyoung answered then bent the tripod and put it back in the cupboard.
"That's your job. Even if every member is doing live, you must also attend," Mingyu quipped. He took a small towel and rubbed his sweaty neck.
"Mingyu, your words," Alpha scolded.
"I was just telling her!" Mingyu dodged.
"Do you also have a regular live schedule, Alpha?" Sooyoung asked. Seeing the leader in this room, Sooyoung felt more safe.
Alpha nodded. "Yeah. Every Sunday. Usually at night, but when busy, I also do it in the morning."
"How do I know if you're going live?"
"I'll call you." Alpha took out the phone, but after swiping the screen with his finger, he frowned. "You haven't been in the group chat yet, have you?"
"Maybe Hyejin forgot. I'll tell her." Sooyoung answered shyly.
Mingyu cleared his throat artificially as if he wanted Alpha to stop talking to Sooyoung.
"So what's the matter?"
"Today the producer came early. We'd better go to the studio room for a new song briefing," explained Alpha.
"Okay!"
"Sooyoung, you come too!" invited the leader.
