Chapter 124 - W3 (2)

[Content warning: Mentions of gore and disgusting elements]

Emyln Roselle was a young teenage boy, around seventeen who just happened to be born with a more feminine look than most boys. Not only was his face feminine looking, but even his body was rather curvy for a guy, so much that all he had to do to look like a girl was to put on a skirt and no one would be able to guess his real gender.

Something like that wasn’t strange but of course with how cruel teens were he instantly became a target for bullying.

But despite his meek look, Emyln was anything but meek. He had a very sharp tongue and even though his stature wasn’t imposing, he had a glare that could induce goosebumps all over one's body.

Apart from that he always held an unfriendly look on his face that nulled his pretty look and made him quite unapproachable. Even his attitude was unfriendly and he was guaranteed to not give you the time of the day if you tried approaching him.

The only good thing about him was his good looks and pretty much everyone knew him as a rude bastard, so it wasn’t very surprising that he soon became the target of bullying. The reason Emyln was very antisocial was that he liked being alone and was allergic to socialization, literally. He disliked the idea of ‘peopling’ with every iota of his being and would rather be stuck all day reading every fictional work he could find, especially mangas.

Of course that made the bullying even worse since these features of his made him a walking target for bullies. He seemed to have the tags that attracted bullies all over him, loner, feminine looking, rude, and otaku, it was no wonder those little monsters tore into him like a vulture to a dead animal.

Dina who had gotten the memories of the poor guy couldn’t help wondering, was it so wrong for one to prefer being alone? Why were bullies so damn nosy? What right did they have to bully a person for just wanting to be alone?

Apart from ignoring others and being adamant about being alone, Emyln was a good child with above-average grades who knew what to do at the right time. It didn’t help that he had no guardian figure to assist him and couldn’t report since the bullies would just get a lackluster warning from the school authorities and his life would just worsen.

“Aghh! So I have to endure being bullied?!” Dina now Emyln exclaimed in anger, someone like her who couldn’t even endure shit like that in fiction?

Manwhas/mangas where the main character is bullied then comes back to absolutely decapitate the bastards were things that thrilled her soul but sometimes she would get so enraged by the extent those bullies went that she felt like being there to destroy them.

They were fictional but her anger was very real and now that she found herself in a position she always imagined she wasn’t allowed to fight back. What arrant nonsense was this?!

“Calm down Dina, you might want to go through this world’s information before you make conclusions,” Zero’s blunt voice cajoled.

Dina could only tsk before calming down to assess the information after it flowed into her mind. She sighed in relief when only a light headache overcame her instead of the huge pain she got from World two.

“The pain is way less than the second world, how come?” Dina wondered cheerfully.

“Because our information is incomplete,” Zero began, “Although there is no separate shard issue like world two, this world is more aware of supernatural forces thus our intervention can only go so far.”

Dina’s heart sank at this, “Does this mean the information is incomplete and I have to find out the rest myself?”

“Yes.”

Dina felt troubled by this information, her missions were just getting more and more problematic. With how everything was going, her fear of failure deepened, what would she do if she failed a mission? She couldn’t. At least not this early.

‘Whatever,’ she thought. No matter how hard things got, she, Geraldina Veraldina would always complete her missions.

However the next minute she felt her resolve falter. This world… this supposedly normal world was… was a horror genre?! On top of being an unplotted world where anything could happen, it just happened to be a horror story?!

“Zero tell me, who the heck did I offend? Is it Jackson? Why a horror genre, am fucking scared of ghosts for damn sake. It’s not even a slasher but pure horror with monsters and sorcerers. What the heck?!”

This world she was in was going to end soon and it all started at the very school she stood. Within this seemingly normal world were supernatural creatures called sorcerers and sorceresses who possessed and could use dark magic. They were so evil that they plotted to completely subdue the human race under them with every means.

The beginning of their plan was centered around Emyln’s school, Kryptonium College, where the horrors would begin. During a normal school day, a zombie breakout would suddenly occur within the school, students who had been contaminated by dark magic would become deranged and begin attacking any other non-zombified student they could find.

After that, those who survived would be selected to play a cruel game called the ‘Game of Seals’ where the sacrificial lambs for the power the sorcerers wanted to incur would be chosen. It ended with them getting the power and using it to release thousands of horrible creatures killing many humans while the rest were forced to become slaves under the sorcerers.

Eventually, the world would be destroyed due to a dispute between the sorcerers and sorceresses and everything would be eliminated both the humans and the sorceresses. Emlyn had survived since he had curled up in the bathroom until the entire zombie madness ended before he was summoned into the game.

He, however, eventually died after being driven to insanity by the game and committing suicide. Now Dina had two missions, to save the world and to capture the target.

As for the target, he was sealed within a painting, and only by capturing him would he unseal himself and defeat the sorcerers. There was nothing else she could get about the trials, even the omniscient narrator only hinted to her about a seer that could help, however, her details were obscured.

Emyln stood before the mirror curling and uncurling his hair as he observed himself.

Short black hair with curled edges that fell loosely over his face, doe eyes with a rich golden brown color holding an innocence that contrasted Emyln’s sharp attitude, and plump red lips that glimmered with a thin film of saliva after being licked.

He was a pretty little thing indeed.

Emlyn observed his body once more and couldn’t help whistling, it truly was like a girl's. Rather than effeminate looking, he seemed more like a girl posing as a male, Dina even had to look down to confirm if he indeed was a male.

With his looks and soft milky skin, Dina concluded that Emyln was a male snow-white.

“No, he’s not even a male snow-white, he’s more like snow-white if she had curves and cross-dressed as a guy.”

After observing to her heart’s satisfaction, Dina told Zero to take a quick picture.

“You would need a connection to the Bureau’s network for that. How many hours will you need? Remember, it’s a one-time purchase,” Zero warned.

“Hmmm, what’s your cheapest?” Dina asked.

“An hour is approximately 500 points and the highest, being 12 hours is equivalent to 5000 points.”

Dina on noticing the discount immediately exclaimed, “Oh. There’s a discount?”

“Only if you purchase the highest value.”

“I see, I’ll take 500 points then.”

Soon, a smile adorned Emyln’s face lightening up his looks and making him look like an incubus spawned from hell to seduce the entire human race, he pushed his chest upwards while thrusting out his butt as he posed lecherously for the picture.

After the picture was taken Dina excitedly asked, “Can I see…”

A bang on the door interrupted and Emyln instantly quieted down, the nervousness within his eyes couldn’t be hidden as he stared at the door alerted.

The banging became louder as a terrified voice shrieked, “Help me! Open the door, please! Open it!! There are monsters in there h—ahh!!!”

The scream caused him to flinch in fear and he looked up in horror to see blood seeping through the tiny creak underneath the door which if observed closely, a twitching finger decapitated from its palms could be seen.

Maybe it was Emlyn, maybe it was her, Dina wasn’t sure but before she could calm herself down she was already retching heavily onto the bathroom floor and that was what it took to seal her end.

The door was kicked open with force, slamming against Emyln who reacted late. A ringing sound filled his ears inducing his already painful headache and before he could gather himself a shadow covered him and then with a thrust his breath hitched.

Emlyn looked at the figure in horror. The female zombie had pale blue skin with veins wriggling throughout her body like life snakes; her mouth was open showing her long decaying tongue filled with maggots crawling within and leaping out of her mouth to the bathroom floor.

A cluster of her hair fell off revealing a decayed patch of skin on her head which maggots and ants seemed to be feasting on but even more horrifying than the female was what her dirty hands held.

A red organ, dripping with blood and beating in a slow and rhythmic pattern that was slowly coming to a stop— a beating heart.

As Dina watched the monster gulp down the heart in one go, all she thought was, ‘W-w-what the fuck?’

And then everything went black.

***

“Get your ass outta there weeb or else we’ll call the teacher lol.”

“Otaku bastard, hahaha.”

The bullies jeered once again before leaving.

The target of the insults and bullying however was as silent as a graveyard as he sat on the toilet seat, drenched with the ruined manga plopping to the ground.

Did he just… die?
