“You there stop!” a rude voice commanded causing all eyes to turn to them.
Silvia glanced at the two males in front of her with a cat, one had black hair and striking blue eyes and the other brown with grey eyes. They were completely different from the duo that had attacked them…
‘But they could be using transformation magic, all we need to do is check for the symbol of elves in that cat to be sure. According to records, they came in directly to the festival and had not rested anywhere so they shouldn’t have had time to hide the guardian.’
“Go ahead,” the male with green eyes leisurely said, even with such a plain look his manner held so much valor it was impossible to hide his uncommon origins. “How might we help you?”
“The cat on your neck, may we have a look?” Silvia said condescendingly, it was a normal thing for an elf with pride to act that way, however.
“And why should I let you rude people touch my cat?” a sharp voice sounded drawing gasps from the crowd.

‘I guess that’s a confirmation to continue!’
Silvia frowned in rage, what an impertinent little human! Who was he, a mere commoner to speak that way to a foreign diplomat?
“Sire, I would advise you to please behave your best!”
“And so do I! How can I be harassed in my hometown and be forced to keep silent about this?! Hmph! Paws hate other humans in fact—he doesn’t even allow my mas-b-boyfriend to hold him so why should I betray paws so?!” Feral exclaimed even louder, instantly falling into acting mode.
His blue eyes watered slightly as he bit unto his red lips very fiercely and along with the gentle quivering of his lashes and body, one would easily mistake him as a thoroughly bullied young pitiful male.
‘What the?...’
“Yeah! Under what grounds should you disrupt a couple’s moment on the day of Coupling? In fact, foreign diplomats are against the rules! Only humans are allowed at the capital during Coupling!” a voice suddenly yelled from the crowd and soon along with it came many more.
“Yes! That’s against the rules!”
The echoes of the crowd increased with their rowdiness and Silvia was so agitated that she nearly used her abilities in an attempt to make them shut the fuck up but managed to stop at the very last moment. She couldn’t, if she dared the elven kingdom would be held accountable for something as evil as attacking a group of commoners who could barely protect themselves.
Silvia sighed and glanced towards the guards who looked towards her awaiting a command. She nodded at them indicating something before walking towards the trio—humans and cat, who stood at alert.
“You may hold him human, all you need do is lay him on his back so we might observe his tummy. And we apologize for our wrong attitude just now,” Silvia stated with a humble bow, with desperate times came desperate measures.
“I…” Feral muttered as he glanced at Genad and getting the signal with his eye, Feral probed the guardian who willingly turned around softly.
“Is your cat by chance mute?” Silvia asked suspiciously as she approached the kitten.
Everyone knew that the guardian was mute so if this cat really was, then…
“No, but he’s deaf from birth which made it hard for him to know how to make any sounds,” Feral answered dispiritedly, looking exactly like a heartbroken owner would as Paws cutely stretched its paws unto his face in an attempt to cheer him up.
Silvia rolled her eyes, oh now she was the big bad villainess.
‘Then there should be a… impossible! There is no marking?!’ she exclaimed on seeing the VERY clear bottom of the cat.
The elven guardian had always been a controversial topic in all of Styr land among the races mostly because although stated that the beast was a conqueror who stood on his own and was merely affiliated to the elven race it didn’t change that it was ONLY affiliated to the elven race. A sign of pure favoritism.
Eventually, many cases of the elven beast being abducted became common, and as powerful as it was the beast was as naïve as to fall for anyone who promised it the freedom to roam the skies, and with its powerful transformation abilty it always took ages to recapture it whenever it was abducted.
Therefore, after a meeting among the highest council of elves, it was determined to leave on it a royal marking, carved into its body with the sharpest of swords—the great Valdajx held by their very ancestor; a red rose that held an eternal redness to it even after all ages.
So… how was it gone?!
‘This should be impossible… then I am mistaken?! How… just how!! Then there’s only one more way! As long as I get one of them agitated enough, the one that had posed as Helen would have his eyes glow!’
“Arrest them both!” Silvia suddenly yelled causing chaos everywhere.
The elven guards glanced at each other reluctantly, this decision could cause a crack in the elves' relationship and the humans. Was it really worth it?
“I sai….”
“And I would like to assert that you have no right to do such a thing and even as a foreign diplomat this goes beyond the limit of your allowance. The cat clearly has no rose symbol on it so why must you harass our people?” a female voice sounded from within the crowd.
Everyone looked towards the source of the crisp and lovely voice only to see a lovely lady who in all demeanor held the aura of an angel. From her long neat silver curls to her fierce amber eyes and lastly the golden flower right on her nape which had peeked out slightly before being covered by the gorgeous knight who stood protectively beside her—it was the royal princess!
