Chapter 66 - W2 (2)

‘Zero-one, situation, this instant,’ Dina asked as soon as she felt herself integrating with her new identity in order to get the hang of things.

“You are drowning,” Zero responded stoically.

Dina: Oh, how helpful.

‘I fucking know am drowning just spill the damn world background!! Pour it all in,’ Dina exclaimed, she wanted to get the world information to understand what she was to do so as to not make any permanent mistake worth regretting.

“It’s going to sting a bit since it's coming along with the memories,” Zero said.

‘Whose?’ Dina wondered.

“Feral’s, your new identity,” Zero replied.

“Oh,” Dina responded, she had almost forgotten since she got no memories when she was Jerry mostly due to them being locked but this time Feral’s memories were very intact, the optimum choice was to transfer it over as it’d help her in her mission.

“Host it’s here,” Zero said.

“Hm.”

/ Transferring world information;

Stimulating Identity's memories;

Transferring Identity’s memories to Transmigrator;

Hold your horses Transmigrator, it’s gonna hurt a lot!

In….5…..4….3…2….1 /

Before Dina could consider the advice, huge waves of memories cascaded into her mind, all coming together like bits and pieces of a puzzle floating into her brain along with the world information that flooded her mind like a river; with both acting together she thought that she would lose her sanity.

It was a pain that even screaming couldn’t cut, it was so painful that she became voiceless, fortunately, the pain soon stooped and she got better.

‘Damn… ha.. ugh….” Dina muttered incoherently before groaning internally after digesting the contents of the information.

This world was quite… something. That was all Dina could think of, unlike her former world this one was set to a fantasy stereotype with a simple yet powerful fixation- To make her target god over it.

Genad Shelling, a merman with great capabilities and potential envisioned to be the next king after the current king set out on his mission to conquer the entire races before finally grabbing the power of a true king through the unique event that always appeared after a century in the Styr Kingdom.

No one had ever succeeded in getting this power for themselves but he was more than determined.

And her mission was to fill an awe meter this time, in simple terms to surprise him pleasantly a couple of times to fill the meter and move to the next world, that kinda stuff.

As for Feral? Well, according to the original script, he was nothing but a written-off side character to die even before the story started. This was due to a certain condition every merman had to fulfill to gain the ability to walk on land.

To gain legs and be able to walk on land one had two choices as a merman:

Kill a human and absorb them, in the process gaining the ability to walk on land and the second was to tie the human to yourself through a binding contract like a slave contract granting you the abilities of the humans including the abilities to walk but in exchange any harm brought unto the human would heavily affect you.

In a simpler context, if the human is hurt, you get hurt and in the worst cases if the human is killed it could leave a permanent soul injury to one, therefore most mermen went for the first option. And originally Genad would go for the first option, killing Feral in the process… this thought sent chills down her spine, did that mean… she was going to die?!

But before her brain could finish its thinking process her assimilation with the identity became complete and she saw hell.

“*Gurgle!* *Gurgle* He-mphhh!!!” Dina struggled as she tried to swim out, she was a good swimmer since she was pretty much a multi-tasker in her life but it wasn’t easy swimming when you had something holding your leg down on a death grip adding to the fact that the original Feral had being suffocated for a while now.

Dina’s mind chilled, she couldn’t die here! But what if she did?! What was she to do?! She couldn’t die here! Was she here just to up and die?!

She was so caught up in her own panic that she forgot to question Zero.

Feral, now Dina struggled more and more with all the strength he could muster until he eventually gave into the suffocation, his limbs went limp and his eyes rolled up as he got dragged right underneath the river, and all he could think during that time was….

The darkness…..

The hurt….

‘It…. hurts…. so….. bad.’

Dina thought before finally blacking out.

***

Darkness… pain…. discomfort.

Feral snapped open his eyes only to see nothing but pure darkness, he gasped in terror as he tried to calm down when all of a sudden his body started convulsing. He leaped up, hands on his mouth as he bent over as his body that was trembled like a leaf in the wind, hurling.

“Mlergh!!! Ughek…. mbleghl…” Feral opened his mouth as the huge amount of water he had swallowed when struggling rushed out through his mouth flowing out incessantly as he vomited them all out.

It kept on gushing out and to an extent it entered through his nose and nearly choked him to death. After almost an entire minute of vomiting, Feral fell onto his butt, hands on the floor as he panted for breath, his body greedily sucking in any oxygen it could find.

“Feeling better?” A cool voice called out to him instantly making him stand on alert.

“W-who’s there?!” Feral asked with fierce eyes and bated breath, still leaning backward but threatening, even at knowing that there was nothing he could actually do to the intruder he still questioned.

“Your benefactor,” The voice answered, pacing from one place to another.

‘Benefactor?! Motherfucker tried to kill me!’ Dina thought in her mind, benefactor her ass like he wasn’t the one that tried to kill her.

“What do you fucking want?!” Feral asked more fiercely, eyes bleeding a beautiful red that glittered just like his mum’s as he forcefully stood up in rage.

“Watch it,” the voice said threateningly and the next minute Feral slumped smack down on his knees without control.

‘I can’t… feel my legs,’ Dina thought direly, she gritted her teeth internally, she could feel her legs no more and she was being suffocated again just like in the river. How many times had it been now, she had just entered in new but had already suffered plenty attacks to her mortality… this world… was dangerous!

But she had no choice but to continue anyways, she wasn’t the type to back down easily on something.

“W-what do you w-w-want?” Feral managed to ask. His question seemed to either stun the person or please them because the pressure finally reduced even if only slightly but enough to let Feral breathe.

He gratefully leaned onto the floor in a feline-like position as he breathed heavily, the other was still as if waiting on him to be through which was confirmed when they finally spoke after he stabilized his breathing.

Behind the curtains made from shells and seaweeds separating him from the male in front of him and obscuring his features, Genad opened his mouth and said strongly-

“You.”
