Chapter 16 - Mutated Lion (2)

ROAAARRR!

The mutated lion cried out in pain. It didn't expect that a puny ant dared to hurt him. Enraged, it uses its tail again to push the puny ant, away from him.

Morgan was trying to pull out the machete that was stuck on the left side of the mutated lion's belly. After stabbing the mutated lion's belly, it suddenly tighten, when the Mutated Lion shrieked. Focusing on pulling the machete on the belly, he didn't notice that the tail was coming to him. He noticed it later, but alas, the tail was already before him.

Boom…..

The tail hit his body before he was thrown, hundreds of meters away from the mutated lion. The strength behind the mutated lion's tail was almost equivalent to the strength of a bear. Thus, one could only imagine, the impact brought by its tail on Morgan.

Furthermore, the tail was also swifter and faster. Causing the force behind it, to double the amount of the average it could.

His body was thrown into the tree, causing more damage to his body.

After landing on the ground, he noticed that all of his organ inside was destroyed. Standing up frailly, he look in the other direction, after confirming that the mutated lion was distracted.

After staring in that direction, he comes up with another plan. Before turning his attention to the mutated lion, which was trying to use its paw to take out the machete – the more it pokes the machete, the more it wails in pain.

Slowly walking to the campsite direction where his new plan will take place. The mutated lion, seeing that the puny ant moves and walks sluggishly, despite the full force attack it brought to it. It was enraged, the puny ant should have died by its tail. But not only did it survive, it even crawl in the other direction, seemingly ignoring him.

The moment the puny humans ignores him, was the moment his pride that was hidden burst out, causing his eyes to be fully crimson red, and the bones that protruded on its back were slowly becoming sharp and tall.

Morgan who was desperately walking to their campsite didn't notice the mutated lion's reasoning and was enraged to the point that it would do, everything to kill him. It was even slowly using its full power, just to kill him – a puny human.

He couldn't care more about it anyway, and it would be much better to him, that the mutated lion was dead set on him, so Clover could finish it. And once more, he already come up with a much better plan, and with the lion dead set on him, it would be more successful to kill it.

But, it would also cost his life, but he doesn't have a choice either, encountering the mutated lion was the very dangerous event, he experienced in his entire life. Not even the nuke mission, which was to stop it from launching, but was only stopped only for a second, before it was launched. But that event was never more dangerous, than the situation he was in.

He was still hundreds of meters away from the campsite, but the mutated lion was already running at him while bending his backbone, exposing the bone on his back. The lion would probably use this attack after charging at Morgan. Normally, the lion's charge will use its bite after the charge, but the mutated lion plan to use the bone on its back to kill the puny human.

If the puny human still didn't die after it was hit by its bone. It would use its paw, its teeth, its tail, and everything in its arsenal. It would not rest until it didn't eat the puny human to death.

…..

On the other side, Clover was attentively watching the battle, while readying his throwing form, with his hands holding onto his flying knives.

He wanted to shout the moment Morgan was thrown off, but hold it in. His heart was screaming to go to Morgan and check his condition, but contrary to his mind was thinking don't and understand the circumstances.

He was in dilemma and don't know what to do. So he keeps his distance from the Mutated lion with a maximum range of only 100 meters, so he could take the chance to kill it, even though it was only for a second. Much better than none.

While closing the distance to the Mutated lion that was running to Morgan. He was confused about what Morgan was up to. He was thinking, what could be there at the campsite, for Morgan to go there.

'Was it the deer's antlers? No, it was already exhausted. The two antlers were used to create a machete. And Morgan has only created one machete, while the other antler was still not far away to shape into a machete. It takes time and energy, so that's out. I wonder what could it be?'

While Clover was mulling over Morgan's up to. Thankfully, he was not abstracted, his eyes were still focused on the Mutated Lion, who was dead set to kill Morgan. Realizing it, he tried to close the distance to Mutated Lion by fifty meters.

Thankfully, the mutated lion didn't even bother looking at him and was still running furiously.

Moments later. Morgan came to a stop, and so did the Mutated lion and Clover. Though even they stop, the distance between Clover and the Mutated lion was still 50 meters, but the Mutated lion was still ignoring him. Clover didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He could only think about how to kill it. He wondered what will be the reaction of the Mutated Lion if it was killed by the puny ant it ignored.

While Morgan came to a stop before a log that was used to sit when they were eating. He slowly embrace it and tried to lift it upwards. Veins pop out of his head while pouting his mouth. His muscles were slowly taking form, as he tried to put the log on his shoulder.

The thickness of the log was almost a meter, so one could only imagine. How could Morgan rest the log on his shoulder, given its thickness. Not only that, but the log was also taller than him, almost five meters in height.

While in the process of doing this. The Mutated lion strangely just stand there and waited for Morgan to finish it. But the Mutated Lion suddenly squatted down, while the bone protruded on its back was exposed, the bone was curved and face unto his back, but the edge was very sharp, and as if it was planning to go curveball.

While facing each other. One was standing, and holding to the log that was resting on its shoulder. While the other one was showing the bone that protruded on its back and was ready to charge head-on.

Clover seeing this scene was astonished by their face-off. A moment later, he suddenly realizes something.

"Don't tell me," Clover murmured while looking at Morgan, which was also looking at him.

Though, the only difference was that, the solemn expression of Morgan before, was now gently smiling at him.

"No!No!No!No!" Clover was constantly uttering these words to the point that it was bellowed.

"NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
