The permit for the teleportation gate was divided into three categories, lowest bronze which required people to wait for several months depending on the availability of the portal.
Silver permit, which was 50 times more expensive than the bronze permit but it guaranteed a teleportation pass within a month and lastly the gold permit which was 100 times more expensive than the silver permit.
A gold permit holder does not have to wait and can be immediately teleported to any location within the continent.
The countryside gate like the one I was about to use was programmed to be used only a few times a day but I didn't have to worry about such things.
Genesis has reserved a gold permit for both of us and as we entered the teleportation tower an attendant took us directly to the teleportation portal through the VIP route.
He verified our identities and the blue light shimmering in the gate turned purple.
"Please enter the portal at the interval of 10 seconds esteemed guests." The portal operator spoke and Luther entered the portal before me to check if it was safe to proceed.
Exactly 10 seconds after Luther had entered the portal, I stepped through the portal and a sudden dizziness overcame me. I started counting seconds and exactly 8 seconds after entering the portal, I saw a bright light on the other side of the black space pass through me and I was thrown out to the other side of the portal but quickly stabilised my footing.
"Tch, noob…" I heard a voice coming from behind me and realised that I had held the portal gate to stabilise my footing.
It didn't take more than a few seconds for me to stabilise my vision but the scene in front of me shocked me and I realised why the portal operator had stopped his comment mid sentence.
I saw Luther lifting the portal operator from his neck while the guards in our surrounding were foaming from their mouth, lying on the floor in an unconscious state.
Looking around me, we were standing in an open hall where at least a dozen or so portals were blinking while people kept coming and going inside them.
Though that should have been the case but right now everyone's attention was focused on us.
'There he goes again.' I commented because this is the second time this demon has come close to spoiling my identity gathering everyone's attention.
'Let him handle the situation, I can see things have changed quite a lot since I have been here.' Hearing Merlin's voice, I distanced myself from Luther which bewildered him and soon realising his mistake, he dropped the portal operator on the ground.
Soon guards from all the other portals gathered and pointed their weapons and hands at Luther to attack him but a gust of soul force descended on all of us present on the floor stopping them in their tracks.
Soon the expressions on the face of guards changed as if they all received a strict order at the same time and they retracted to their respective post while carrying the unconscious guards and portal operator lying near us.
'What happened?' I asked in my mind.
'I think the influence of genesis is more widespread than I thought.' I heard Merlin's mumbling and understood the situation.
It seemed that the guards were not the only people who received the message because the expressions on Luther's face were also contorted.
As the situation calmed down a little, I was finally able to take a better look at our surroundings and as I did, I forgot to take a breath mesmerised by the scene in front of me.
I was standing on the top of the tower whose height according to system analysis was 1,800 metres.
Walking in a calm manner I arrived near the edge of the tower and Luther followed behind me.
"I apologise for causing a ruckus my lord." He said.
"Though i don't approve of your method, it is a fact that you did that to save my honour, there is no need for you to apologise, though it would be better if you refrain from attracting any more attention." I said looking outside the edge of the tower.
"I will not disappoint you any further my lord." I heard luther's voice and scoffed.
As I stood there, I had no problem seeing the ground from this height thanks to my draconic vision, and it was a mesmerising sight.
The whole tower was floating midair while an intense blue fire burned beneath it but didn't look threatening at all, heck it didn't even emit any smoke.
I was able to see many demon, humans fly in the air landing near the tower as walls parted itself to make way for them to enter and exit.
"We should leave my lord." I heard Luther's voice and changed my curious child-like expression to that of a serious old dragon.
"It has been a long time since I have come here, I wish to stay for a few more moments." I said and Luther retracted, not disturbing me anymore.
"As you wish my lord." Luther replied.
"Get rid of that title." I said with an expressionless face.
"I will, sir lightning emperor." Luther quickly replied.
Ignoring him I chased my vision to its limit and soon was basked in a never before seen sight in my life.
'This is nothing compared to the wonders you will be exploring in the future.' Merlin said.
Someone might think that the tower was the highest building in the whole city but when compared to the structure around the tower, it was miniscule.
Few kilometres away from the teleportation tower, hourglass-like buildings extended from the ground till the sky above clouds.
After witnessing its sturdiness, I was doubtful even my strongest rank 12 spell could completely destroy it in one go.
'You underestimate the power of dragon king noob's spell too much, even before completing your transforming physique, you are able to kill an aura master, it would be walk in a park to destroy this entire city when you have surpassed the mythril physique.' Merlin explained to me but my attention was solely attracted by the gigantic structures around me.
'By the way, we aren't in the centre of ventico city and from what i can gather from the memories of Earl Jabel, ventico city is the biggest and most fortified city of planet Amora, if I have to guess its total size is bigger than African continent of your previous world.'
'Are you kidding me, no you are not.' I said verifying merlin's statement and it once again reminded me of how big planet Amora was.
"Are we on the outskirts of ventico city?" I asked luther.
"Yes sir lightning emperor, the main city has been on high alert for the past few years to track the newly descended heroes thus we have selected this roundabout way to take you to the headquarters."
'But can they really track a few humans among the population of billions of humans and demons?' I asked merlin.
'If it is the 4th duke genos, I think it is possible, he possesses the most frightening undead army of planet Amora and ventico city is also his base of operation.'
'Dukes are really a pain in the ass.' Shifting my attention from humans and demons walking on the street peacefully and ignoring the dreadful treatment of some slaves, I focused my vision on the projection in the sky where the names of the current strongest 10 peoples on planet Amora were mentioned.
Among them, I couldn't find the name of demon king Lucifer which implied no one knew the extent of his power but his four dukes held the first four ranks on the list.
'The list isn't reliable because humans like the leader of the resistance army and aura grandmaster Austin aren't there.' Merlin said.
I also noticed that the first 6 figures were demon kings, direct subordinates and their ranks have not shuffled for the past 100 years as mentioned on the projection and all 10 superpowers mentioned were on the list were demons which symbolised how horribly unbalanced this planet was.
"Let us leave." I said and hearing my voice, Luther surrounded both of us with a translucent bubble of mana.
The next second, the floor beneath us moved, taking us to an black space in which the mana bubble glowed golden and I could see many other similar bubbles travelling in the dark space alongside us.
Luther was continuously emitting mana at different frequencies and accordingly we changed direction before coming out of the black space into a flat grassland.
I wondered why he had brought me here and following Luther's gaze a little further I saw a Dragon faced ship floating a few metres ahead of us.
It was 80 metres tall and wide, and had the Dragon's sculpture in front while the rest of its body was similar to the Pirate ships from my previous world.
It had 12 wings and three rocket thruster-like structures at its back.
We both walked toward the airship and its name came to my view.
"Draken"
'He really is a dragon fanatic.' I thought.
"This is my personal airship, Sir lightning emperor. Its model is a little out-dated but that is what makes it classic." Luther spoke trying to impress me.
"How many days until we reach the headquarters?" I asked, trying to end our small talk as soon as possible.
"If we go at maximum speed and don't encounter any trouble along the way, one day at least." Luther replied.
"That is shorter than I thought." I said.
"It is still far away though, if we had teleported to the capital, it would have taken us 3 to 4 hours only but they said the identity of the guest is sensitive and thus we have to take a roundabout way." Luther explained.
"By roundabout way you mean like a smuggler?" I asked and spread lightning wings behind my back and headed toward the deck of the ship.
"Unfortunately yes." Luther affirmed following behind me.
There were no doors or stairs to ascend to the deck thus we flew toward the deck, at first I thought the ship would be made up of some wood but it was made from an unknown metal which was of black in colour.
I soon understood that the whole airship which looked like a wood structure was made up of this unknown metal.
'That is Glitherium, it is normally found beneath the sea bed and is known for its lightness and heat resistance, it is also sturdier than normal cosmium from which the genesis branch was made, it must have caused him fortune to make this ship.' Merlin explained.
As we landed on the deck there was a bar-like structure and various tables and chairs were embedded on the floor and beneath the floor lay 6 rooms which I was able to examine by spreading my soul force to my surroundings.
Luther gave me the biggest room available on the ship and took the helm of the ship.
Soon a transparent film which I didn't know existed burst apart and our ship flew toward the east breaking the sound barrier at the get go.
Even though things seemed to be blur I didn't feel an inch of vibration even when we took off.
I informed Luther to not disturb me until I had called him and he complied.
Diverting my gaze away from the window I looked at the king size bed and upon touching it, it felt like I was touching the cloud.
Just by a mere touch I felt the need to sleep on this bed.
I pushed the thought of absorbing demon cores aside for now and slept like a baby on a comfortable bed after 11 years.
