My eyes bulged out of their socket as merlin said the name 'Meeker'.
I immediately retrieved the communication crystal and called babel and the crystal lit up projecting a holographic image of babel in front of me.
"Babel, what was the name of your ancestor?" I asked him hurriedly before he could ask anything.
"Wow I can clearly see you…. Ahh the ancestor's name, it was written in our records as Barel briskoli, but my father once told me that the real name of my ancestor was Vanita Meeker, is something the matter my lord?" Babel said.
'So he is the descendent of one of the leader of that legendary pack.' merlin said.
After I got what I wanted to hear from babel, I warned him about the disposition of dimension pocket exit which was more than hundred meters above the ground and disconnected the call.
Merlin not only tough me how to fight but many other things inside the sea of consciousness and among them was the stories of his past adventures, about how he plans to deal with demon king Lucifer and demon god, and many legends which existed on this planet in the past.
One of those legends was the legendary beast king Meeker.
He was a human but had extraordinary ability which allowed him to control even rank 12 beasts just by looking in their eyes.
It sounded almost impossible to me at first because the rank 12 beasts were an almost invincible existence in mortal realm, it was an existence which can be compared to mortal dragons, and if he was truly capable of performing such feat, he was not weaker than any god merlin knew.
Many gods tried to make him their apostle, while some gods hunted him seeing him as threat to their existence in the past, but no one knows actually what happened to him as he disappeared in the history with his beast army.
After few hundreds years has passed, his name started to fade from the memories of people, but then someone discovered his incomplete legacy in an ancient ruin.
In eastern continent there is an Ancient museum, where all the ancient relics are stored, and there exist volume 3 and 4 of meeker technique but no one has been able to decode it since then, because its 1st and 2nd volume is missing, which is in my hands now.
When merlin told me about meeker, I had decided to steal the volume 3 and 4 from the ancient museum with bunch of other relics but now it is even more important for me to have them.
Merlin would need some more time to extract the techniques from the red gemstones and thus we made an agreement that I would give him both gemstones for free and in return he will provide me the technique, when he has decoded it.
It was said in the legends that Meeker was able to understand and help other beasts evolve faster and he commanded the force of hundreds of rank 12 and tens of mythical beasts.
Not even demon king or heroes of that era were his match but he wasn't the type of person to join any faction.
He loved to experiment new things, creating hybrid beasts or new techniques in seclusion.
It is also said that the concept of 'core center formation' and humans merging with beast has originated from his studies but no one was able to confirm this hypothesis because 1,000 year ago, he just disappeared from this world without a trace.
He never trusted any human or demon throughout his life and was always surrounded by beasts but if I can find all six volumes of meeker technique, I may be able to resolve the mystery surrounding him.
I felt some moment in the ether wall blocking the entrance of the cave and spread my soul force to check the situation outside the cave.
Outside the cave, dozens of low tier beast's corpse lay bloodied with ether spikes jutting out of them, any beast who tried to step into the waterfall was bombarded with dozens of ether spikes from all direction as hoards of beast stood few meters away from the waterfall.
I recalled the ether and it returned in my hand turning into bracelet, I made my way out of cave and approached the beasts.
"Now how should I deal with you guys?" I said releasing my soul force and suppressing all the beasts around me, who ranged within rank 1 to 4.

"Princess Amelia, may I enter?" My demon butler Jericho, whose strength was equal to that of an earl ranked demon asked for my permission to enter my chamber.
"Yes, you may." I allowed him to enter.
My always clean grand chamber was messed up due to all the paperwork I have to do because of father's absence and as I saw butler Jericho enter with stiff expression, I knew he hasn't bought any good news.
"You can talk." I said and kept looking through the pile of documents in front of me.
"I regret to inform you princess, but the life crystal of Earl Jabel and Viscount Makia has just shattered." Butler Jericho said and I recalled the specifics of the mission I have assigned to those two demons.
"How is that possible, there was an aura master among the people I have sent, and didn't Marquees Nester say the strongest beast among the pack was only a rank 10 beast." I asked butler to confirm the information marquees nester has given us.
"Marquees nester would never betray us princess; I think jabel must have encountered some unknown variable." Butler Jericho deduced.
"It wouldn't be my brother, father has made both of us take mana oath that we wouldn't interfere in each other's business, could this be the work of those vermin's" I asked.
"Surely you jest princess, those heroes are not more than 12 years old right now, they are not capable of defeating an aura master." He replied and his words made sense.
Out of 3 heroes, two were wracking havoc in the outside world mingling with those resistance forces rats targeting demons up to the rank of viscount, it wouldn't be the work of those two heroes, could it be the work of that 3rd hero father said to be cautious off.
I can't come to a conclusion unless I have verified the facts with my own eyes; the lead we have received this time about the legacy of meeker can change the future of demon race and mine forever giving me the edge over the accomplishment of my brother.
"When was the last time you received mission report from demon jabel and what was its content?" I asked.
"We received the mission report just yesterday, and they were still looking for the beast core and legacy of meeker." Jericho said.
"Is that so…"
"Don't send anyone to that dimension pocket for investigation." I said to butler Jericho and stood up in my place.
"But princess this matter needs further investigation, the death of an Aura master cannot be kept hidden for long." Jericho said and I understood his meaning as it will soon be time for the annual gathering of Aura masters.
The 1st duke Astoroth, who is the strongest Aura grandmaster on this whole planet acted against father's will and invaded a small country 'Paradise' situated in the outskirt of beast continent.
It was trivial matter considering his status but what surprised the whole planet was the fact that he returned alone from that expedition in half dead state, while 4 marquees ranked demons who accompanied him lost their lives, fighting against a single human who was father's old companion and also an Aura grandmaster.
He has been recuperating in seclusion for past 5 years, while those two heroes and resistance forces were wreaking havoc in the outside world.
The 2nd duke Titan and my former master was missing from his duty since father left planet Amora and has been sighted on many places across the globe as if searching for something or someone.
He must be trying to track that 3rd hero who have disgraced him and wanted to regain his honor by capturing and handing him to father, he was always a fool but a powerful one at that.
The 3rd duke Elise didn't involve herself in worldly affairs much, only making an appearance whenever it was beneficial for her research and planet Amora was too big for an alone 4th duke Genos to handle thus we prince and princess has to step forward to manage the chaos.
"I will personally go to investigate the matter of death of Earl Jabel." I said and without needing further explanation butler Jericho bowed his head and left my chamber to make preparation for my departure.
