Kuroda Ryuhei felt very angry with Eugene.

Already unsure about Eugene's plans, he had suspicions about Yuji Shinakawa.

It was obvious to him that Yuji wouldn't agree to work with Eugene, after all, she was an important girl who had been kidnapped. If the same happened to the woman he cared about, Ryuhei would go to great lengths to destroy everything related to Charles Choi.

He believed that Yuji felt the same way.

The Four Major Crews had been created by Charles Choi, and the Workers were part of them, so it was only natural that Yuji wanted to destroy them.

Ryuhei was angry with Eugene for having been unable to realize something so simple.

But that no longer mattered.

Because he was there to turn the game around.

To give hope that it was not yet the end for the Workers.

"A wooden sword wrapped in chains?"

Stopping in front of Yuji, Kuroda raised an eyebrow when the boy asked with clear curiosity, which made him smile with satisfaction.

"Quite a weapon, isn't it?"

Yuji scratched his chin as he watched that man swing that sword with a silly smile on his face, a sigh escaping his lips.

"A different weapon, I have to agree. But what do you hope to do with it? Buy time?"

Ryuhei didn't respond immediately. His aura, which had previously been controlled, suddenly exploded into hostility, his eyes flashing dangerously as he prepared himself.

"It doesn't matter. I'm the last hope for the Workers, I just have to do my job to the best of my ability."

Yuji got into position, his aura exploding and spreading across the battlefield, Ryuhei giving a forced smile as sweat accumulated on the back of his neck.

"Do as you wish."

Boom!

Blasting towards Yuji, Kuroda swung his sword, hitting the ground as his target simply stepped to the side, dodging completely.

Kuroda gritted his teeth, and thrusting his body forward, he pursued Yuji while swinging his sword unstoppably.

Attacks flew in from all directions, but Yuji just stepped back while dodging without showing any signs of fatigue.

'He's too fast!' Ryuhei growled, and seeing that his attacks were proving ineffective, he unwound the chains from his sword and threw them towards Yuji's leg.

!

But, to his surprise, Yuji stepped on the chain and wrapped it around his ankle, using a single leg to pull him up.

Kuroda, caught off guard by his opponent's strength, lost his balance. His eyes widened, but before he could reach Yuji, he tried to advance with the intention of attacking.

"I respect your determination."

But just as he was reaching him, a powerful kick hit him in the face, his body being pushed to the ground by an imposing force.

"But you can't beat me."

Boom!

Moving his sword to his face with the intention of protecting himself, Kuroda was unable to react when a kick split it in half, his face being hit hard enough to knock him out completely.

"But I'd say you did well to delay me, it looks like another big fish has just arrived."

Eugene, seeing how Ryuhei had been completely dominated, felt hopeless.

But just as he and most of the Workers were about to give up any chance of victory, the presence of a new figure caught their attention.

A figure walking angelically down the street, following the sunlight that was driving the rainy clouds out of the sky.

James Lee had just entered the battlefield.

"I was beginning to believe you wouldn't show up." Eugene, who at this point could breathe a sigh of relief, turned to James Lee who had stopped a few meters away from him and Yuji. "As you can see, we're in a complicated situation. An unexpected variant has emerged."

"I understand." With his unnaturally calm expression, James Lee turned to look at Yuji, a small smile of recognition appearing on his lips. "Yuji Shinakawa. I've been interested in meeting you for quite some time."

Yuji rubbed the back of his neck in frustration. The situation was extending further and further, to the point of irritating him. With more and more opponents suddenly appearing, he felt that everything was getting more and more out of hand.

Of course, he wasn't afraid of facing numerous opponents, but there was a problem.

This new opponent, he was truly strong.

[Status]

His physical attributes were on a par with his own, which made the situation delicate.

Physical attributes weren't really the problem, as Yuji could tell that his physical attributes weren't that great, since he had slightly surpassed Kanoh Agito.

Even Gun was a match for him.

What really counted in a fight was your skills. Experience, technique, the ability to improvise, intelligence - these were the main factors that decided a fight between two powers.

Yuji understood this thanks to Kuroki Gensai, and in the last few months since the end of the tournament, he has focused completely on improving his own style, and assimilating even more martial arts and styles.

That's why he beat Gun so easily.

Even though they both had the same physical abilities, Gun's techniques were simply too inferior.

But could that be said of his new opponent?

The legend of the first generation?

"They've been calling you a second-generation legend, you know that?"

James Lee looked calm, too calm considering that he was facing an opponent who could theoretically rival or even surpass him.

But the prospect of facing Yuji, contrary to what his exterior made it seem, was rather discouraging.

James knew it wouldn't be an easy fight, and even if he was able to win, he wouldn't come out unscathed.

That's why he wanted to resolve it diplomatically, avoiding unnecessary fighting.

"Let's leave the small talk aside." Yuji, cutting James off completely, approached until he was face to face with the first generation legend. "Do you want to fight or not?"

James swallowed as an overwhelming presence fell on his shoulders, a forced smile appearing on his lips as he watched the boy in front of him stare at him with deadly intensity.

"I'd rather not, how about we talk?"

Yuji stared at him for a few seconds before eventually turning away, giving James room to breathe.

Eugene, seeing this as an opportunity, immediately approached, although the fear of being hit once again overwhelmed him for a moment.

"The location of those kidnapped by Charles Choi!"

Turning to look at Eugene in front of him, Yuji raised an eyebrow in curiosity when those words came out of his mouth.

"We can find out their location! If you use Gun to take you to where Charles Choi is located, then you'll never find out their location! Believe me, not even torture will make Charles reveal their location."

Yuji frowned. He knew that getting any information out of Charles Choi would be complicated, but he was willing to go to great lengths to get it.

But now, with someone pointing this out to him, he felt doubtful. The last thing he wanted was to hurt Gaeul even more in the process of saving her.

"Shit." Muttering, he clenched his fist and took a deep breath. "I knew it wouldn't be that simple."

Boom!

Eugene, who at this point seemed confident that he would be able to convince Yuji, opened his eyes wide when a fist came at him, knocking him to the ground and causing blood to fly from his nose.

"All right, I'll listen to him."

Yuji nodded, wiping his fist as he turned to James, who looked ready to advance.

"I just vented some of my anger."
